I felt as though the editors were soul mates of mine. Not only did they choose more or less the authors I might have chosen, the selections of work resonated for me. In some cases work by writers I thought I knew well opened up.

This is an amazing anthology -- it's well thumbed and a little beat up because it went with me everywhere for awhile. The poems are all immediate and consistently worth several reads. I'm sure I will find gems in this one for years to come. This is an amazing anthology -- it's well thumbed and a little beat up because it went with me everywhere for awhile. This is a good book for the female author requirement. Most poets in this anthology are contemporary.
