These were both quick romance reads that were just okay to me, nothing outstanding and I would say definitely not my favourites by Lori

For one thing, I almost fell asleep during the first 3 chapters it was SO BORING!! Sebastian puts himself up for a charity auction, where they auction off the company of a handsome stud. This is supposed to be for battered/abused women. The chairperson is none other than Shay, from "The Life Of Brian" fame. She wins Sebastian for her sister, Brandi. Now for one thing, I think 5 days at a secluded, romantic resort strains the bounds of good taste for a charity auction. These 2 people don't know each other. He was WON for God's sakes. It kind of prostitutes the whole thing. For another thing Shay supposedly is an expert with the battered/abused women. She works with these women at a women's shelter. Does throwing your sister who was gang raped as a teenager into the company of a TOTAL stranger for FIVE DAYS even sound like a good idea? Now to be fair, Shay does know Sebastian & thinks he'd be a good guy to let Brandi start off with. Of course, she doesn't clue Sebastian in on what happened to Brandi, so he has NO idea what's going on. Not realistic at all. Not a great story. Tantalizing - 4 stars. This is the LF I know & love! Josie & Nick meet at a bar, where she thinks he's his partner, Bob. She's been set up on the date by her bossy, older sister, who actually likes Bob herself. There's a comedy of errors, until they get it all worked out. This is a "love at first sight" trope, which I don't mind. Sweet story!

3 stars.. Two quick/fun reads. The first book..Fantasy was overly cheesy in parts but still enjoyable. Tantalizing was fun. Nick and Josie were good together. Unbelievable gives me a connection to a series and a standalone story from Ms Foster’s earlier releases. FANTASY It’s not too difficult to figure out Brandi’s history before the reveal, but still it was heartbreaking. Sebastian’s tenderness and patience with Brandi throughout their story touched my heart and had me wishing for such a man in real life to have been part of my life. Their romance is both tender and steamy, and I was easily caught up in their story. I loved this one and would happily read it again. Fantasy gets 4 stars from me, edging toward the 4.5 range simply for the thoughtfulness in dealing with Brandi’s memories and reactions. TANTALIZING Oh, what a fun romp Tantalizing is. Two people who are completely not what they seem at first meeting, a few white lies, a couple of omissions, an overprotective sister and a delightful grandfather… yeah, a funny, charming, steamy romp. Nick and Josie are a couple of focused characters who don’t really seem like they’d fit on the surface, but once you get to the real people they really are just right for each other. Steamy, funny and at times a chuckle out loud story. I enjoyed this couple… and even Susan and Bob had their precious moments. It’s really pretty amazing that in the two decades since Fantasy and Tantalizing were first published by Harlequin the romantic world (both in fiction and in real life) has changed in so many amazing ways yet in some things has remained the same. Love wins in the end – and that is why I read romance. I own a Kindle edition of Unbelievable.

They get closer… they have sex, with Brandi always on top… and after the 5 days, both are afraid of rejection, and telling the truth of their hearts… then Sebastian gets called out of town on business, and when returns a week later, pushes Shay to find out where Brandi is – in a cabin in the woods… he goes to her, the air is cleared, and both finally admit to their love for one another. Tantalizing: Setting: Single’s bar; condo complex of elderly plus Josie; utilitarian apartment (socks in the dining room drawer/shirts on the table); 3 generation, 2 story, family home with character Theme: Falling in love; pushing one’s own boundaries and self imposed limits Characters: Josie Jackson – 25 years old; virgin; master’s degree nursing; lost parents when 15 and 19 year old sister took custodianship; has been goal oriented, has tried to please her sister; is tired of her sister set up blind dates; has own home care nursing business. And Nick reacts without realizing he is falling in love… he wants to be with her… he doesn’t want her to be with other men… he likes spending the night even when they don’t make love… and she realizes she is falling in love but still doesn’t see that he’s going to change for her… bu then she decides to propose to him… on the night he decides to tell her he loves her… ahhh

Shay ends up making the final bid on the last "item" and gifts it to Brandi as a birthday present. To her disbelief, this "gift" is Sebastian Sinclair, owner of a personal protection (bodyguard) service and supporter of the different women's shelters Shay runs. He often donates his time and services to provide protection to battered women and help the police get their abusers arrested. After a lot of grumbling, she agrees to go on the five-day vacation to a lovers' retreat with Sebastian which is included in the auction package. Turns out they are comfortable with each other and are able to share their pasts with each other, etc. Brandi feels safe with Sebastian and he patiently helps her follow through with her decision to begin living her life and start circulating again after a horrible assault which occurred eight years before. Tantalizing: Josie Jackson owns a business which assists the elderly (home health care), Home and Heart, and has always been focused on school and her career and has never made time for dating, especially after all her older sister has given up to help raise her after their parents' deaths. Josie agrees to another blind date set up by her sister, who has been trying to get her married off, although this time she plans a ruse which she hopes will immediately turn the guy off and she can get her sister to stop bugging her. She wears revealing clothes and acts like a big flirt--which is not her normal behavior and not what this particular stuffy guy would like. This would have worked except the guy who was supposed to be her date had to cancel and he sent his business partner, Nick Harris, in his place to give her the news. Nick is so taken with her, however, he doesn't admit that he's not really "Bob" and they spend time together falling for each other. Confusion reigns as all starts to unravel before Nick can tell her the truth about his identity, and before she can tell him the truth that she's not really the big flirt she's pretending to be, and the real Bob and Josie's sister, Susan, find they have feelings for each other as well. Will the real Bob please stand up?? These are both quick and enjoyable reads but they are a bit dated and not as good as Lori Foster's later work.

I really like Lori Foster and this book did not disappoint. Sexy, sweet, funny....nothing was wrong with these stories. Fantasy - Brandi's sister buys her a man at her charity auction as a birthday present. After a traumatic event in her youth, Brandi has not had much to do with men. Deciding to step out of her shell and try to over come her past, she confides in her sister her plans. Her sister decides to help out in a big way, especially after she sees the way she is looking at Sebastian. Seba I really like Lori Foster and this book did not disappoint. Finally he agrees and I think it is more than he bargained for. Sebastian realizes that things just don't add up and decides to fix it. He spends the five day romantic getaway prize vacation figure things out. LOL Tantalizing - Josie is fed up with the guys her sister sets her up on blind dates with, so she decides to scare this one off and find one more to her liking. Dressed very provocatively, she shows up at the meeting place and is floored by the man she finds. Nick is not Bob(the blind date)in fact he has been sent to tell Josie that Bob will not be showing up. But when Josie walks up to Nick and says are you Bob, he answers yes. Well things get mighty complicated with everyone pretending to be someone they are not and if you add to that people setting people up with the one they would rather be with, it can get very complicated. Liked Mrs. Wiley and Jeb also!!!

Sebastian is her's...literally. Brandi's sister just bought him for her at a charity event. now she gets to do what she wants on a vacation. Brandi has a past that she won't let stop her from having the courage to change her life. Sebastian becomes a big part of getting her past her past. good story..maybe a little too perfect though. kept my interest though. not as happy with the 2nd book. nick is a telltale womanizer, Josie is pretending to be something she isn't and they fall for eachother. Two classic books by Lori Foster in one. I usually love pretty much anything by Foster but these two stories just weren't my favorite. Both stories were a little boring and I was ready to be through around halfway of each story. Fosters work done in the middle of her career and currently is far better. I didn't love any of the characters in either of these stories, though I do think the men were more interesting than the women. The premises of both relationships was also highly improbable. It had potential though and I am interested in reading one of Foster's full length books. I wasn't expecting much and yet I was still slightly disappointed. I kept in mind that this was an early work for the author, but still, I couldn't care less about the story or characters.
