Title: Bite Me Author: Donaya Haymond Genre: Paranormal Romance Length: 37,430 Words Heat Rating: 1 Flame Price: $5.95 Blurb People say bad things about Dianne's parents that just aren't true; they're a vampire and werewolf...so? It's hard enough for Dianne to be fifteen and obviously to love her parents, even worse when there's something weird about them no one quite understands. Her father being a vampire and her mother being a werewolf is a simple fact of life. More worrisome are Mom and Dad getting sick for unknown reasons, the effect an accidental display of power is having on her social life, and the possibility that the boy next door thinks she's a freak. Matthew seems to like her, yet there's something off about him. Dr. Nat Silver, a vampire with several medical degrees, may provide some answers. For the most part Dianne feels it's her wit and devotion versus a world more cruel than any supernatural being could ever be.

Donaya speaks to the part of me that has been in the back of mind since my time in middle school and I have to admit, I only wish I could have done what her characters do in her awesome tale Bite Me. Though Goodreads only lets you go 4 or 5, I really give Bite Me 4.6 stars. The characters, mystical in nature, are still confronted by real problems faced by many in today's society. And though it is not an action-packed story, it maintains a steady pace that before you know it, it's over. What makes Donaya speaks to the part of me that has been in the back of mind since my time in middle school and I have to admit, I only wish I could have done what her characters do in her awesome tale Bite Me. Though Goodreads only lets you go 4 or 5, I really give Bite Me 4.6 stars. The characters, mystical in nature, are still confronted by real problems faced by many in today's society. And though it is not an action-packed story, it maintains a steady pace that before you know it, it's over. What makes it even better is it is part of a series, but you don't have to have the first book to understand what is going on. Donaya has a way of re-introducing the characters that her followers are already familiar with in a way that allows new readers to know what is going on without boring fans with information they already know. I am looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next and how far this tale can continue.

The only part I liked was the writer mentioned vampires and women are their periods! I always wondered what would happen. Other than that the book just wasnt my cup of tea and I wish I could get my money back!
