Married to two alien men from Lukrim to get off a polluted, dying Earth, Lissa found herself isolated in a culture she didn’t understand. Meeting someone through a bridal program had never been her plan, but she was dealing with it. And then her life came crashing down. Lukrim had hidden the existence of humans from the rest of the galaxy and Earth needed active assistance, not guardians who just wanted access to human women. Her marriage? A lie. Her husbands? Unwilling to let her go. Voshan found himself ripped from his normal job as a surgeon on a planetary disaster relief ship to serve on a hospital ship. A war to free Earth loomed and there would undoubtedly be casualties. It wasn't something he had ever anticipated, but he wants to free the humans as badly as anyone else. After the two unexpectedly meet, Lissa's backwater planet heritage becomes valuable in the operating rooms of the war. Lissa’s attention is on the operating table and Voshan, and he can't keep his mind or his sul-tentacles away from her. The only thing standing between them? Her husbands are coming and they want her back.

This is such a delightful read. I liked Lissa from the start. I could understand why she signed up to a bridal program that made her end up with two alien husbands she's not too happy about. And Voshan is delicious! He's kind, thoughtful, and has tentacles galore! I loved seeing the two get to know each other and fall for each other. But Lissa's husbands don't just let her get away, especially one of them is possessive, and angry she escaped. I was eager to see how things would turn out.  Next to a sweet romance between Lissa and Voshan there's action, danger, and steamy tentacle action. You bet I had a great time with this book. All in all this has everything I want from an alien romance. I picked it up for the tentacles, but kept reading for the entertaining and delightful story. I think I'll investigate what other books Claugh has written.

Ensnared by the Alien Medic is a fun space ride. There is blood, guts, torture, and yeah there is some fun in the sheets. It has a little bit of everything. This is a great addition to The Ragrim Conflict series. I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily. Check out the rest of my review at Phoebe's Randoms. Link in bio. Ensnared by the Alien Medic is a fun space ride. There is blood, guts, torture, and yeah there is some fun in the sheets. After signing up to participate in the Lukrim Bridal Program, Lissa has been on Lukrim, married to her two husbands, for three years. What she did not know when she signed up is that one husband would end up being abusive and the other would be so insecure that he would spend time away from home rather than confront his co-husband about the abuse. What she did not know when she signed up is that one husband would end up being abusive and the other would be so insecure that he would spend time away from home rather than confront his co-husband about the abuse. Then, when the truth about the program and all the lies the Lukrimians told, and the measures they took to ensure the human women never found out about the lies, Lissa decided she'd had enough. Stealing one of her husband's freighter ships, she escapes the planet of Lukrim and runs into the Republic Fleet, which has arrived in space around Lukrim in order to free the women who are little more than slaves. Unfortunately, her abusive husband, Belgrim, is not just going to let her leave, and he and Zalim borrow their neighbors' freighter to go after her. Their chase sets off a firefight and Lissa's ship is damaged enough that she ends up crashing in a landing bay of one of the Republic hospital ships just before passing out. Voshan is a Kasmari who had been working as a doctor delivering relief to various planets when he's reassigned to work on a hospital ship sent to Lukrim. While he is expecting to treat human women, the ship doesn't expect any for at least several more months. So he is quite surprised when he opens up the door of the crashed freighter and catches the human woman who has just tumbled out. The book takes place over the next 6 months, and it was really nice to see how Lissa and Voshan's relationship grows and deepens at the same time that Lissa is healing from her time on Lukrim. Of course, just because Lissa has left Lukrim and is on the Republic ship, it doesn't mean that her husbands are ready to just let their bride go. What will Belgrim do to try and reclaim her? Will Zalim finally stand up to Belgrim? When I started reading, it was easy to like Lissa. She is such a strong character who made a decision based upon the available information - which turned out to be lies - and instead of falling into a "woe is me" pity party, she takes the situation into her own hands. Her resilience gives her such strength, which not only helps her heal but also allows her to open herself up for love and another love. If you like alien love stories, I think you'd enjoy this one. Also, while it is technically the third book in a series, each book is a standalone story so you don't have to have read books 1 and 2 in order to follow this story. There may have been some additional background and worldbuilding in those stories that would provide a fuller picture, at no point was I really lost in this story.

This story starts off with the exposure of a lie that's so big it's on a planetary scale. What follows is one woman's reaction to that revelation. She'll find angst, action, danger, drama and steamy romance on her journey to true love. This story starts off with the exposure of a lie that's so big it's on a planetary scale.
