FANTASTIC! Supported this on the Kickstarter and so happy I have the book now! It was a wonderful read, sad, heartbreaking, but also hopeful and lovely. Longer review will come soon-ish. Not feeling all to right at the moment.

How do you rate and review a collection that has good contents, but isn't what you were hoping for when you bought it? We'll start with the good: I think I enjoyed every comic that was included, with some of them giving me bits to ponder afterward. The less good: the contributors list didn't fit the expectations the title set up for me. As a trans woman who uses she/her pronouns, I would have liked more stories from others who know themselves that way. As a trans woman who uses she/her pronouns, I would have liked more stories from others who know themselves that way. To me, this book felt like a collection of nonbinary comics with a few other transgender comics included. (I also don't know whether this paragraph says more about me or about the book I'm reviewing.) What is good though is that I really enjoyed the book, despite that disappointment. And the truth of each person's history and identity came through.

This is a really lovely volume with some very heart felt stories. The comics are all beautifully illustrated in a way that further allows the reader to get a feel for the artist and their experience. My personal favourite was "Sweet Nips" by Lucas the nifty fox. It resonated with me on a personal level, but also was a nice addition to stories that were largely otherwise concerning the start of people's journeys. To that end, my only (slight) criticism would be that it would have been nice to hav This is a really lovely volume with some very heart felt stories. I ordered this on Kickstarter on a whim, forgot about it, and then got it in the mail yesterday. It was absolutely delightful! I ended up reading several parts aloud to my wife (who is trans) because I knew she'd find them so relatable and funny. (Not all of the comics are funny though -- there's a good balance of different tones while still always being uplifting.) I like that it's all written/drawn to be all-ages-friendly too so that I can be comfortable recommending this to kids/teens who are I ordered this on Kickstarter on a whim, forgot about it, and then got it in the mail yesterday. As a cis-het I think these comics have given me a broader view of the various ways in which people experience their gender. I liked the differences in art styles and story telling methods more than I was expecting. I don't usually like anthologies but here it felt natural since all the artists were telling autobiographical stories. Each style fit the mood and tone of each artists' story. Beautiful stories and art, and a variety of representation. โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐ I liked hearing about all the diverse life experiences in cool different art styles, with a theme of hope and self acceptance through all of them.

Really enjoyed this solid anthology and will be rec'ing it to others. The humor was great too. I'm glad things like this exist. I hope it helps young trans folks find themselves more easily. I'm glad things like this exist. I hope it helps young trans folks find themselves more easily.
