I liked this one more than Amanda Lovelace's other books. Here she talks about some of the issues that are still a topic we face and deal with today. it's just absurd that they are still happening today- in this century! -guess ppl just don't get it!! I love how she is proud and not afraid to speak her mind on any issues that she had faced in her life throught childhood to adulthood.-as she should of course but I don't think I have that same courage\ability to lay bare my deep feelings! Love how she connects fairytales to these issues because it is something that speaks to all of us-each one can interpret the lines as he thinks right and fit for himself. The book felt more organized but still, I don't know if everything is considered poetry - some felt like a speech more than poetry so I will give it 3.5 stars.

I listened to this short collection of poetry before bed over the last few days. It was an interesting collection though I was a little distracted by the author’s reading voice. Just one of those things. The empowering nature of the poems was certainly appreciated

It felt like an echo of her previous collection “You are your own fairytale.” Cinderella’s and Elsa’s tale both feel rushed. The last one, Belle’s, felt like more like an ode to being a workaholic rather than being LGBTQ. I do understand and applaud the author on representation. I really, mostly, loved the last one however because of what I related to the most. I wish there had been more of it in there.

Wasn't sure what to think about this book (or should I say books?). It was a heavy but quick read and it's highly quotable as well! Wasn't sure what to think about this book (or should I say books?). It was a heavy but quick read and it's highly quotable as well!
