If you read A is for Aiden, then you will remember Brett as his best friend. I felt bad for Brett as he grew up with drug addict parents on the wrong side of the tracks. It was crazy how some people still looked down at him. I was glad to see that he had a thing for Harleigh, one of the waitresses at the diner as Brett was a caring person. I could understand why Harleigh was a little stand offish with Bret as her ex was crazy. I enjoyed watching the two fall in love. Brett loves his life on the mountains but watching his best bud Aiden find love and happiness, Brett also has to admit to loneliness. Harliegh works at Dinas diner but dreams of becoming a best selling author and a mother. Both Brett and Harliegh are still trying to overcome their past of growing up on the wrong side of the tracks in a drug riddled trailer park with addict parents. Harliegh learned not to depend on anyone but herself, but Brett can't help the need to help and protect the beautiful waitress broke down on the side of the road. With a little help and push from friends Brett and Harliegh end up in a not so subtle double date. Things heat up and progress with a slow burn until that heat can't be controlled anymore. Then Harliegh's ex shows up trying to get her back. What starts out as a nuisance turns to stalking and escalated to violence. Brett will do what he can to protect Harliegh whether she like it or not. They settle into an easy rhythm until Harliegh gets those two lines on a stick, and Brett is quick to say he doesn't want kids without realizing why the subject came up. What is Brett going to do when Harliegh leaves requesting space?? What is Harliegh going to do when her ex comes out of hiding to chase her on the mountain road??? Can Brett save Harliegh from her ex and get another chance with the woman he loves and their unborn child?? Great characters, his/her POV, no cliffhanger and a surprise HEA. A MUST READ!!! Can be read as a stand alone but better read in order. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and happily purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Looking forward to C is for Carter!!!

Black is a slow build romance that blossoms and becomes significantly steamy as Brett and Harleigh's relationship develops. Harleigh is truly an independent woman that borders on stubbornness in the name of independence and remaining unreliant on any man. Enter Brett, the sweetest alpha protector! He has a sweet spot for Harleigh despite her reluctance to engage or interact. As the plot unfolds, the attraction swells and overflows as Brett and Harleigh spend more time together. This book couple quickly becomes nearly inseparable with the impetus of Harleigh's ex. The ex-boyfriend becomes a stalker and as bad as he was for Harleigh when they were together, he becomes exponentially worse as most stalkers are. Brett is consumed with protecting Harleigh, but it is a fine line trying not to cross and step all over Harleigh's coveted independence. Personally, Brett is just about perfect and seems to know, understand and provide Harleigh with everything she needs. Sweet, steamy, dreamy and absolutely sigh-worthy hero. Overall, the surprise baby throws a kink in their otherwise perfect romance (dangerous stalker issue aside). Sweet, alpha protector Mountain Man Brett saves the day and their relationship for a wonderful, beautiful, doubly love-filled HEA. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

Harleigh Robinson is one of the prettiest women that he has ever laid eyes on. He gives her a ride to get some coolant for her radiator. Harleigh works as a waitress for Dina’s diner in the small town of Ashford, TN, and she is independent and estranged from her family. Both Brett and Harleigh have been trying to overcome their troubled past. When Harleigh’s car gets stuck on the side of the road, Brett happens to stop and assist her with her car. Brett also finds that he is thunderstruck by the intensity of his attraction to Harleigh. There is no denying the attraction, but the chemistry like the one they have can only be denied for so long. Everything about them seemed too good to be true, but none of that mattered until a situation with Harleigh’s ex-boyfriend turns her idyllic life upside down. Find out what happened—what a quandary! Their journey is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced and all-around fun with a surprise HEA. Natasha Black manages to weave humorous plot lines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main and secondary characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book could be read as a standalone, but it's definitely better having read the previous one. From the moment we met him in the first book, I pretty much loved Brett. There are lots of mentions about both sets of parents, so I was expecting those parts of their pasts to play a bigger role in this story then they do. Since Harleigh’s ex is such a big problem for them, it's probably a good thing that the suspense in the story comes from a singular focus. A very cute romance, I loved Brett almost as much as Aiden. He was that alpha male protector without being over the top, and you could tell he was just an overall nice guy made an outcast by the town for the sins of his parents. Harleigh has been taught the only one she can rely on is herself. When her car breaks down, Brett comes to her rescue. She fights against accepting his help but eventually he wins her over. As they get closer, their relationship becomes more intense. Things aren’t so easy as Harleigh has a jealous, obsessive, manipulative ex out to cause trouble for her. Whenever you are not looking for something special is when it finds you. Brett likes to help people that need help. Harleigh’s car was broke down and she got stuck in the side of the road, and who happens to drive by Brett. She is not looking or ready for anything due to her last ex and the way he treated her. She just wanted to be free and not need anyone’s help no matter how much she may need it. This is an amazing love story between two people who were looking for something neither of them kn Whenever you are not looking for something special is when it finds you. B is for Brett is the second book in the Men of ALPHAbet Mountain series and is Brett and Harleigh's journey of love. I loved Brett for Harleigh because of his protectiveness and because when he was ready to find love he didn't rush it. When her ex starts causing problems Brett is there to keep her safe. The storyline is well done, the characters are believable and the story is packed with drama, danger, suspense, steam, and a great ending. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. This is such a brilliant read. There is an instant connection between Brett and Harleigh when he helps her when her car breaks down but she is trying to be an independent woman and turns down his offers to help, at first. The closer they get the happier they both are that is until her abusive ex decides he wants her back. Can Brett keep her safe when her ex won't leave them alone? Absolutely loved the ending. I loved this story. Brett grew up with drug addicts for parents on the wrong side of town. He was always looked down upon by everyone due to his parents. Harleigh grew up in the same trailer park however they had never met growing up. Brett comes upon her with car trouble and offers help. They connect, however she is slow to trust as she has issues with men in the past. Will he be able to change her feelings. This is the second book in the series and a stand alone. Love this series of love stories It was great catching up with Aiden and Deserri from the first book. This book about Brett and Harleigh's love story was so good. It had friendship, close relationships, animosity by some of the townsfolk, danger and intrigue and love. This story kept you on your toes like Aiden's. I really enjoyed it and hope you will as well. Written by Cindy :) Looking forward to Cater' story. Love this series of love stories It was great catching up with Aiden and Deserri from the first book.
