At the Periphery Very impactful short story seemingly about dark magic, but in reality about abusive relationships and that the victim sometimes had to literally peal her own skin off to escape from the damage done by the abuser. Mental scars are sometimes even harder to heal than physical ones. It takes a lot of time and magic to rebuild yourself after something like that. Yes, this story really resonated with me.
