Inferno is book five in the Alien Castaways series by Cara Bristol. Six alien castaways managed to escape their planet before it was destroyed. When their damaged ship landed on earth, they found the peaceful little town of Argent, Idaho to be very welcoming, so they decided to stay. One by one the castaways have found their gemmates, the one person with a genetic marker that makes them their perfect match. Now it’s Inferno’s turn. When Mandy had a vision that Inferno’s genmate would be found in Inferno is book five in the Alien Castaways series by Cara Bristol. When Mandy had a vision that Inferno’s genmate would be found in the little town church, he surely didn’t expect to walk in and for her to scream and send him away. Inferno is a Luciferan. He has bright red skin, a tail and horns. His appearance might resemble the devil himself but Inferno’s two hearts are filled with nothing but kindness and love. As soon as he laid eyes on Geneva, he knew she was his genmate. But he had no idea what to do when she would have nothing at all to do with him. Geneva Walker works as a secretary in her Uncle’s church in Argent. Two years ago Geneva’s now ex-husband told her he wanted a divorce out of the blue. Now she’s thirty eight years old and living alone in this tiny but sweet little town. Geneva had thought her husband loved her. Now, she finds herself to be a bit skeptical. When a man who looks like the devil walks into her church, getting him to leave is her first reaction. Later, when he tells her he is an alien, she still doesn’t believe him. When he says they are gemmates, she thinks he must be completely crazy. This was a short, fun, sexy little book. Geneva understandably had trouble coming to terms with everything Inferno told her. But Inferno knows she’s meant to be his and will do just about anything to prove it to her. Only, it seems Inferno isn’t the only one who has Geneva in his sites. The next book in the series will be Tigre’s book. We get a little glimpse in this one of what Tigre has in store for him and it doesn’t look like his journey is going to be a very smooth one either. Let me just say this is the cutest, sweetest series. I have highly enjoyed each installment. I've cried at times but had a dopey grin throughout most of these. The 'Topians are so earnest and straightforward. With their honor, integrity and excitement to try Earth food and customs, they really endear themselves to those around them in this sleepy little town in Idaho. In this installment, Inferno finds his genmate (his genetically perfect fated mate), Geneva. Inferno is a seven foot, red skinned Luciferan, with horns, a tail, and the ability to shoot fire from his hands. Geneva is the little town's church secretary, working for her pastor Uncle, even though she's an atheist. Well, she almost has a change of faith when she's first confronted by Inferno without warning. She comes out of her office to find "the devil" standing in the church saying she's his mate and he's been waiting for her. So she does what any sane person would do...she screams, "stay back, Satan!" and pummels him with hymnals until he leaves. From there we're taken on a crazy ride. With Geneva's suspicious mind, stubbornness, and apprehensiveness left after a terrible divorce, Inferno has a tough uphill battle. He knows though that he'll do anything for his mate, he just struggles around Earth mating customs he unfamiliar with. Unbeknownst to both Geneva and Inferno, someone with bad intentions is also inserting themselves into the mix. These books are quick, easy reads but full of feeling and sweet enough to give you a toothache. The steam level is fairly low, I do appreciate that these are all a little bit more seasoned women, some already divorced or widowed. Women who life has kind of kicked around a little bit and now they know what they want, what they are worth, and know a good man when they find one. I recommend this series if you need a lighthearted pick me up. Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Convincing one’s fated mate not to back away in terror shouting for holy water is something of a hurdle for a lovelorn Lucifarian and his skeptical match. Inferno is book five in a series that works best read in order, but could do just fine as a standalone if one is in a pinch. Like the other Topian refugees, he is safely ensconced on earth and now open and ready to find his gemmate. Inferno is a Lucifarian so with horns, tail, and real inner fire, finding a human who will choose him isn’t the easiest. And, when it comes to Geneva that goes double. Her past with a manipulative ex has turned her into a skeptic and I’m not just referring to her being an atheist working as church secretary for her giving, generous uncle as the pastor of his smalltown church. Geneva has come to think that love is as unlikely as aliens. I enjoy how the author wrote each couple in the series so differently though they have the same general plot conflicts with the alien-human mating. The individuals fight their own past demons and get their own adventure together to help them bond beyond the love-at-first-sight gen match. The pace is swift as these are longer novellas in length so they read fast, but there is no lack of worldbuilding or character development. Tigre is next and I enjoyed the sizzling, sassy meet-cute with his future mate. Easy, light, sexy, and a good time for alien romance fans.

MY GENMATE, I’VE COME FOR YOU The story is a spin-off of Ms. Cara Bristol’s Intergalactic Dating Agency series, with a fun new twist. The mention of IDA will play a role in the story but not be directly involved. From a twisted tale of control, an escape from a planet being destroyed, and a spacecraft named Castaway with a menagerie of inhabitants and landing on Earth—this tale will have the unique characteristics that Ms. Bristol is talented for spinning in her adventures. Inferno learns from Mandy Ellison, the owner of Inner Journey that his genmate is at the community church, and he takes off to find her. What a shock when he enters the church, and she starts screaming at him and throwing books. Geneva Walker is the church secretary for her Uncle Mike, who is the pastor. Sadly, she is filling a role, but she isn’t a believer. Yes, she had heard the rumors around Argent that there were aliens, but she scoffs at that notion too. No God, no Satan, no Aliens! But, when a red-skinned man comes into the church and states he’s there for her, she loses it. “Maybe he’s an alien. She snorted at her own joke.” The story’s plot will finally have a Geneva and Inferno talking where he can explain more to her about his people, the Topians, how they came to Earth, and how each member has a DNA matched genmate—and she is his. Maybe they got off on the wrong foot, but couldn’t she sense their bond as he could? He’ll just have to explain it to her. Inferno: “It means you fill my life with purpose and my heart with joy. We’re life mates, and we share a genetic marker that binds us together.” Geneva: “I don’t know who you are, why you think this, but stay away from me. Leave me alone. If I have to, I’ll file a police report. Forget about what I said about being welcome at the church. Don’t ever set foot there again!” “Trust, harmony, and love, huh? Okay crystal. Work your magic. Send me my soul mate. She who didn’t believe in God or aliens or ghosts or angels had been waiting for Prince Charming to sweep her off to the castle she’d built in the air.” After more than two years since Geneva and Trenton divorced, now he is showing up in Argent, pursuing her, telling her he is working on a lucrative deal and she will be cashing in. From a marriage she thought was ok, to him leaving, she has hardened her heart—especially where he is concerned. Why now that Inferno has shown up is Trenton hanging around? Inferno is straightforward with what he tells her—but is he stalking her now? Why is she getting so many vases of flowers and notes? Inferno: “My genmate, I’ve waited my entire life for you.” Geneva: “That’s like a life partner.” Inferno: “Life partner and more. I tried to explain in my letter. For ‘Topians to bond with a partner, the dyads must share the same genetic marker. When they meet, biology binds them.” Geneva: “So you’re at the mercy of your biology? You don’t have a choice?” Inferno: “Who better than our own genetics to pick our perfect partner?” Geneva: “So you’re saying we have the same mating gene? How is that possible?” “Could this account for the existence of soul mates, explain why some couples got lucky and instantly connected? Did it explain her crazy idea that her Mr. Right had been searching for her?” The story has the good, the bad, and the troublemakers. It will be slow for Geneva to trust that Inferno isn’t just stalking her—and she has many times when she feels like she is being watched. Now, after two years, is Trenton contacting her and trying to make her believe his story? I love the chemistry between Inferno and Geneva—while it is so simple and straightforward to him, he must back off and give her time to accept their connection. When they are together, they sizzle with passion. Is trouble coming their way, and how will they handle it? Geneva: “I love you. I’m so sorry for having doubted you, for resisting our bond.” “Inferno: “That you love me, and I love you is all that matters. The rest was just the journey to get here.” While the story does not end on a cliffhanger—it does allow the reader to segue into the next book of Tigre and Kat—and I look forward to reading that one. Tigre is the last of the crew of Castaway to find their genmate.

The characters are strong-willed, likeable individuals from different species & I was totally amused by the reactions of the female character (Geneva Walker, who happens to be an atheist) when a Luciferan alien (Inferno, who looks like a demon) approaches her. Naturally I will not give the plot away but I will say that this book is definitely worth reading. There is: a despicable Xenos Consortium, a conniving ex-husband (Trenton), law enforcement, various kinds of aliens, friendship, comradery, humans, fated mates/genmates, adventure, action, secrets, mystery, humor, suspense, intrigue, twists & turns, drama, arson, misunderstandings, attractions, complications, accusations, steamy scenes, contentment, love & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book & would recommend this book (& the series).

Geneva is an atheist working as a secretary in the church where her uncle is the pastor in a small town in Idaho. A town where some people believe they've seen aliens who are living among them. One day, a handsome man walks into the church- except he's seven feet tall, with red skin, horns and a tail- and claims she's his genmate and he's come for her. Thinking Satan himself has just strolled in, she screams at him to leave, shouting prayers and throwing hymns at him. Inferno is an extraterrestrial searching for his genmate- who he finds in Geneva. (A genmate is like a fated mate but the bond is determined through genetics.) When he introduces himself, she immediately rejects him, though he does not understand why when he feels their bond so strongly and surely she must be drawn to him, too. I absolutely loved Inferno. I thought he was so sweet and almost pure in expressing his feelings. His genmate is someone he has waited for and searched for his whole life and would love for as long as he lives. It hurt my heart to read a conversation he had with someone after the initial rejection and says, “She won’t talk to me.” He paused. “She thinks I’m ugly.” It just seemed so innocent to me that he didn't understand why she would immediately reject her genmate unless she thought him unattractive, having only had the chance to speak two sentences to her. Geneva is a very relatable character in her skepticism of things paranormal and religious (though I personally don't follow her views). She was also hurt in the past by an ex-husband, and so guards her heart more carefully. Her reactions didn't feel over-the-top, nor did she have instalove for him once she accepted he wasn't a crazy person and was actually an alien. I liked the natural progress of their relationship, though there were bumps and misunderstandings along the way. I also like that he felt culturally different and that caused misunderstanding, rather than it being from some random miscommunication, withholding information, or some other drama-inducing trope. I would like to go back and read the other books that came before this one just to get a better feel of the atmosphere. It felt weird to me that some people were shocked to see an alien, while others barely reacted, and I think reading the previous books when the aliens first came would clear that up for me more. A really enjoyable read with likeable characters, a good story, and a HEA. I recommend it. 4.5 stars

Their encounters led to some pretty funny happenings. My heart hurt for Geneva and Inferno as they navigated a road to their HEA that was full of stumbling blocks; ones that had me rooting for them more and more. As always, the books in this series are standalones, but reading them in order will lead the reader to having a greater experience. I’ve been a fan of Ms Cara Bristol for a few years now. I’ve always enjoyed her Alien Love Stories and this one is no exception. Now that I’ve read this latest installment, I look forward to continuing with Book 6. Solid Proof Geneva is an atheist who doesn’t believe anything without solid proof. How funny that her fated mate is a red skinned alien with horns and a tail? This was a good book about misjudgment and the major of fate. I laughed a lot because she was so intense and Inferno was just trying his best to get to know her. Loved it.

Drawing on her experience and stayed however, the decision to have him removed had been infuriating to say the very least. Inferno is dramatic in appearance and like his fellow Castaways has thought and hoped for a gemmate however, as a realist he knows the possibility of discovering his gemmate would be nothing short of a miracle. I do not want to spoil the surprises in this story so will say that if Inferno is going to achieve his dearest wish, he is going to have to work for it. He knows that Geneva will be everything he has ever dreamed of and so much more. Will love win the day and give him the love of his life? Read this wonderful addition to the series and find out for yourself!! I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

I really love watching these Topian males find, peruse and shmooze their genmates. After all, who doesn’t believe aliens live among residents of a small town in Idaho? I really liked how Geneva and Inferno start out - magnetism on one side and a demonic perception on the other. With unknown challenges stirring up suspense, I couldn’t put the book down until the details were revealed. Satisfying right to the end with a tempting glimpse of the next novel in the series. This is the first book I’ve read from the aliens castaways series and I really liked it! I liked how each one of the castaways were different and had special abilities. I loved Inferno! I can't get enough of this series. I loved Inferno's story. Looking like our definition of satan makes it difficult for Inferno to connect with his genmate. Geneva is the church secretary and Inferno's genmate. This story is a great read. There is so much humor, heat, and love in this book. The twists are so well done, that you don't see them coming. Make sure you have time when you start this story as you won't want to put it down. I can't get enough of this series. I loved Inferno's story. A wonderful romance in the Castaway series. Inferno meets his mate, but she thinks he's the devil. When you have red skin and horns, you have to prove you are worthy. Such a great story! Combustible Chemistry Inferno looks like … well… Lucifer, so when he surprises Geneva at the church, it all goes downhill from there. These two start off on the wrong foot, but quickly fall for each other. I liked how Geneva was slightly older, but both experience and baggage. This has been a great series, and I’m excited to read Tigre’s story!

If you read “Shadow” you already know that Inferno met Geneva Walker at the church and she screamed and threw a hymnal at him. Inferno isn’t a bad guy. He just looks like the devil sort of. But you feel for Inferno and how is preserved. Geneva was broken by her ex and seemed to want to hold out for her soul mate but when it is right in front of her, she pushes it away. I was so upset for Inferno. It broke my heart. Thank goodness for his friends and the other woman helping guide him. Geneva’s ex was a real jerk and she finally followed her heart. Now we wait for Tigre’s story.
