Finishing up my short 2 issue run on Detective. I am hanging around Batman for the Jokers War and Ghost-Maker, but the Hush character pulled me into Detective for the last 2 issues. This Tommy really holds a grudge. Are all of Bruce's old friends like this? (Ghost-Maker as well). Finishing up my short 2 issue run on Detective. Hush is a throw away subplot 👎, but Damian! I never expected to like that kid, but I do (ever since Deathstroke) and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with him. This issue wraps up nicely before the break for Future State. Plus the Lee Bermejo variant is amazing. Hush is a throw away subplot 👎, but Damian! A good sign off for Peter J Tomasi and Brad Walker. Batman and Robin do battle with Hush (Tommy Elliot), although the action may seem to be anti-climactic, it’s the moments between Bruce and Damien that really count. Also, we get a result in the mayoral election but where that story leads will have to wait until after Future State. On a subjective note, not for the first time in the past couple of years it feels quite frustrating to see Peter J Tomasi be pulled - seemingly prematurely - to give way to a lesser suited writer. I for one am not impressed by Mariko Tamaki’s writing to date and am jumping off Detective Comics as a result. However, the stage has been well set for her run.

It was nice seeing Batman and Robin together again.

Please give me more Damian Wayne! His current relationship with Bruce is actually interesting to read.
