Yay a new series by my favorite Alien smut author Ruby Dixon. My God her books just do it for me. They are all just so fun and enjoyable. These big blue loveable aliens are like crack to me I always want more. I have wanted Adiron, Kaspar, and Mathiras' book since Zoey's love story. I loved Adiron and Jade. They were very cute together and balanced each other well. Omg the plot of the "132 extras" I can't wait to see what Ruby does with that! I also loved Alice and Helen and can't wait for their Yay a new series by my favorite Alien smut author Ruby Dixon. My God her books just do it for me. They are all just so fun and enjoyable. Overall a nice enough one time read that had me smiling here and there, it just didn't have the oomph I was expecting and I found it easy to put my kindle down. I wasn't keen on Adiron referring to himself as the dumb, least smart brother - it happened way too much for my liking. Not sure I'll read book two in the series when it's out. Acquired via KU. 3.5 stars -- I am loving seeing the various Ruby Dixon series comingle more and more! While I do think this suffers from being serialized (there's a good 20% that probably should have been edited out), I absolutely loved Adiron as our main character & we've got some delicious conflict set up up for future books. Quick(ish) Review Quick, filthy fun, my favorite kind. The story is a good starting point for this spin-off series but does weave it well into the ‘verse Ms. Dixon has created. Adiron and Jade are low angsty and doesn’t really delve into the abuse the women suffered when they awoke from stasis to discover they’d been kidnapped from Earth. The characters are likeBoe and the reading was easy. There’s glimpses from old faves, and a setup for the other couples has potential. Spin off series of Corsairs series. This one connects toDeceiving the Corsair in that the lead character, Adiron, is Zoey's brother. Not leaving a rating or in-depth review as it was a DNR at around the 40% for me. Writing style, character development, and overall story line didn't work for me. Spin off series of Corsairs series. Is there any type of character Ruby Dixon can’t write? Adiron’s goofiness had me cracking up all throughout this book. Not to say he didn’t know how to man up, because he definitely did. 😉 And Jade was the perfect one to complement his silliness. Not to say she was a sourpuss, because she wasn’t, lol. Looking forward to Kaspar and Alice’s story! (But reeeeeeeally looking forward to Mathiras and Helen 😁)

An excellent sci-fi romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this romance. The plot and pacing were tight and exciting, which meant that reading it flew by even though it was a long novel. The characterization was vibrant, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. I liked the humor, and the hero was so sweet and devoted right from the beginning, and ardently pursued the heroine. That is my favorite way to develop a romantic relationship in a romance novel. Level headed meets cray cray Jade is a stressed out human trying to take care of her found family, as well as one hundred and thirty two other responsibilities, and ends up meeting Adiron, a space pirate who never met a good time he didn’t enjoy. The two together are *perfection*. She gives him someone to be responsible for/about, he gives her a sheltering spot, and reasons to smile. Oh MAN, I sort of love Adiron's light-hearted attitude. He's fun and flirty, he plays dumb and he *seems* like a big, old manwhore on the surface, but he's a whole lot more than that. He's goofy and caring and so loyal it's crazy. His loyalty almost got him killed once upon a time and yet he doesn't let one bad experience with a self-absorbed ex dim his enthusiasm for life. Frankly, that's exactly what Jade needs. She needs someone who helps her enjoy living. She needs someone who treats her like Oh MAN, I sort of love Adiron's light-hearted attitude. She needs someone who knows she's strong enough to shoulder all the burdens she's taken on, but who wants to help just because he doesn't want her to unnecessarily struggle. And Jade sees past Adiron's goofball exterior. She sees his loyalty and she adores that he doesn't hold back when he wants something (especially when that something is her and Adiron wants her A LOT. HAHA. The dude really is a hornball once he finds the right lady.) and she absolutely trusts him even though her experience with other aliens wasn't the best. THESE TWO ARE JUST SO STINKING CUTE. We get to see a few familiar faces (and one off the wall chaotic one) and get the setup to a whole world (or escape pod) full of adventure for the other brothers. And Straik. HA. Straik. I hope you fall hard and fast, dude. Here's to the Corsairs and their stories! -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

I read this as a serial on Ruby’s Facebook page. Adiron and his brothers find the Buoyant Star, where Jade and three other women are hiding out. They all make a plan to find help for the ship and separate into pairs. Adiron’s story follows him and Jade as they stay on the ship while the others leave. It wasn’t my favorite of her serials this year, but I still really enjoyed it. Another perfect romance! It was such a pleasure to meet up with the brothers again. To watch them find trouble. Best of all was the excitement of Adiron and Jade finding each other. There’s plenty of action with other pirates and ships that don’t work as they should. This story was a beautiful blend romance and adventure. I loved every word, as usual. Ruby Dixon is the Queen of Aliens!

This was okay. Adiron is not my favorite brother but he was sweet and caring so it was okay. I'm waiting for Mathiras!!! (HE IS MY FAAAV) Even though I don't like much his soon to be mate. She is funny but idk. Let's see. I'm also looking forward for Kaspar's, and Straik's books (Ruth is going to give him hell). But Damn nothing will ever be as good as Jerrok. Sorry not sorry. I looooove the Cosair series and was excited to read about the Cosair brothers. The blurb alone made me fall in love with Adiron. I made myself wait until the book was finished before reading it. I think it would have been slow torture to read one chapter at a time on Facebook. Adiron did not disappoint. I ADORED him. He cracked me up from the first chapter. **Spoilers below** Adiron was arrogant but didn't take himself or others seriously. He was hilarious, very carefree, a jokester, a charmer, and a positive thinker. He described himself as handsome and all brawn. He admittedly stated his brother Mathias was the brains of the 3 brothers. However, I didn't like Adiron constantly calling himself dumb. He was sly and smart in his own way. Almost every time he was in a scene, I got a smile on my face. I even loved his sloppiness. When he first met Jade, she pretended to shiver and he just takes his tunic off and gave it to her. Ahhh. When he offers to arm the women so they feel safe. Ahhh. His first date with Jade. Ahhh. His showed his protective and serious side when he spied the psycho, murdering, gladiator in stasis. Ahhh. I just loved him! In addition to all his charms, he wasn't a man whore and he didn't sleep with prostitutes. Both which happens a lot in alien romances and turns me off. He had only slept with one woman who he had loved before she betrayed him. At first I thought Kaspar was going to be uptight but to my delight, he had a playful and protective side. I loved it when he gave Adiron a wet willy. Lol LOVED Jade and the women. They were smart in how they baited men by pretending to be helpless and sexy slaves who need rescuing. When Alice pretended to cry I couldn't help laugh. Kaspar was sweet in how he awkwardly hugged and comforted her. Helen also cracked me up when she was in the stasis pod and stuck her tongue out at the guys as they got gassed. Nice change from a lot of alien romances where the human women just roll over and are helpless victims. It can get old. I liked these women took charge and they were the aggressors even when they ended up getting captured. In the blurb at the end, Ruby said she got a little flack on Jade being too serious. I liked Jade. She had to be responsible because she was in charge of her crew and 132 people in stasis for years. She was enslaved and abused. She had to be tough. She was smart and protective but not uptight. Her crew looked up to her. She demanded and expected to be treated as equal and not some weakling. However, Zoey was right. Jade showed too much compassion. After Shaalyn threatened her, the baby, and Adiron, she refused to have her killed. Shaalyn was going to sell everyone into slavery and possibly kill Adiron and her baby! Jade was way too kind in stranding her in a escape pod with no ability to communicate. She stabbed Adiron and almost killed him years ago! How many innocents has she murdered and sold into slavery in the past and will do in the future? Not cool Jade! But, I forgive her. She later realized she was too kind. That being said, Jade and Adiron balanced each other out. I didn't think Jade was too serious. She appreciated and liked Adiron's silliness. Adiron appreciated her intelligence and protectiveness. I cannot wait for the next books! The Little Sister was recovered in When She Belongs so what happened to Alice, Kaspar, Helen, Mathias, and Ruth? Was Alice sick bcuz she was preggers? Right now, I am not liking Straik but I am curious about him too. I was shocked when Bethiah showed up. She was not my favorite in the book When She Belongs cuz she was mean to poor Sophie. She was still kind of a jerk in this book. She still thinks all humans are beneath her. Then the characters from the Cosairs series shows up. OMG.. So awesome! Awwww! I hate waiting for the next books and going through withdrawals! I guess I will just go back and reread the Cosairs.. I like how this series ties with the Risdaverse, Icehome, and Fireblood Dragon series. I forgot Earth was destroyed by dragons.

I am kind of disappointed with this. I really really love Ruby Dixon's Corsair series so when I found out this was a thing I was extremely pumped. I went into this and really loved 60% of this but then my enjoyment started going downhill. This book should have been condensed and I think that's where a lot of problems lie. I also found the writing to be really obnoxious sometimes and even toward the end I started getting annoyed with Jade and Adiron because it felt like they had only two personali I am kind of disappointed with this. I also was really confused about the action and overall just slightly annoyed. I also became a little confused sometimes because she would include things from her other series to connect. I've only read Ice Planet Barbarians 1-7 and the first book in the dragon series and I picked up some of those things but a character named Sophie came in and I was like huh? I just think she's created a super big world and should have spent more time interweaving it instead of making it a last minute decision. I had a really good time and thought it was fun just wished it was shorter.

I really like this series, as well as all the others before it. The world is well developed, colorful and expanding with each book. While each of Ms. Dixon's series strongly described a life in space as not the nirvana Earth's inhabitants think it would be. This book is about people finding their personal value, whether it is ignoring what others may see or what they themselves see of themselves. Adiron plays the dumb muscle of his brothers, but he really isn't. It is a character he plays for so I really like this series, as well as all the others before it. Crazy, fun loving Corsair meets responsible human! Sounds boring but this book is anything but! I loved, loved, loved Adiron! He was the perfect male, funny and not too serious, a little impulsive but very protective of the females in his life. I really liked how much he missed his sister, and the way he sort of instantly bonded to Jade. Jade was a bit boring, but I seen a lot of myself in her. Adiron and Jade’s serial felt much like Jerrok and Sophie’s story, 4 stars for the first section but 2 stars for the second section. I liked the MCs, and I did appreciate how all of this authors series tied together in this one. (I’m not talking just the Risdaverse and Corsair series...even the ice planet and dragon series got subtle Easter egg mentions!) Absolutely smiled the whole book. Well this was a perfect way to end 2020 and begin 2021. I loved Adiron. He was so lighthearted and easy going that I just smiled the whole book. I loved Jade as well. Ruby did a great job of making us feel the weight on Jade’s shoulders for the responsibilities of her little crew. She rocked as a siren luring pirates in and robbing them so they could survive. These two made a great pair. Can’t wait to see what happens with the brothers.

So much fun! I really liked this book. Some of us ladies feel the need to be responsible for everyone in our close circle, kinda like Jade. I sure she was too staid or even kind of boring for some but not me. As one of those "responsible" ladies I connected with Jade. Everyone should be lucky enough to find the one who brings balance.
