   Awesome information. I loved the author's introduction it was so well done! My great-grandma (who was born in the late 1800s) would tell me about the times the family would get together music was always a part of that. Yes like the author said these folks were deeply religious. I think that is why I like country the newer is a little too pop at times for me but things do change. The Quizzes were a great idea! This book brought back memories of growing up with country playing on the radio, of goin Awesome information. I loved the author's introduction it was so well done!    Fun read. Enlightening. You will learn a lot about country music and the struggles some took to get to the top and on the radio. Especially the female stars. Thanks to attitude and determination they paved the way for so many by refusing the word "no". The end of chapter quizzes are fun too. Good, fun afternoon read especially if you are a musician or at least a music fan. Fun read. Enlightening.    An enjoyable book. I really believe that the best part of reading this book is how all of the stories are short and to the point. All parts are both entertaining and very informative.
