Brooks’ debut in the Heresy is a tight story about the proto-Inquisition, a subject that he excels in making readable and engaging. It is set in the archetypal Inquisitorial situation in 40k which nicely juxtaposes with the novelty of it for the stories characters.

Nice little story that will hopefully be the start of something new. This will hopefully be the start of a new series, this short story sets up the main character and future adventures nicely. Look forward to seeing where this goes.
