DNF'd at 57.3% (page 107/186) The writing is super clinical and lacking in emotion. It also uses first person present tense which doesn't help any. A wonderful read! Another Jude Gray winner! I love stories with a hero who believes he's a monster and a women who has the strength to love them even if they are different species. Tempest sees the good inside him and feels safe for the first time in a long time. Their story is a great read but it ends too soon! A sequel to these two would be wonderful!! Can't wait to read the next Xaensskar Book 😀 A wonderful read! Another Jude Gray winner! A Little Darkness Wow! This was a alien romance that put me through all the feels. It made me laugh, grit my teeth, fist pump and get weepy eyed. I really liked the two main characters; Tempest with her optimism and Kelos with his quiet strength. There is action and steamy scenes that made me so happy for the couple. I really enjoyed reading this one.

Quick, Light, Erotic No real substance. It's kind of an unloved hero trope, and he has trust issues, but the Insta love kind of undoes it. It's not bad. On the contrary, I enjoyed it. I wish there was more to the story, but Jude paints a clear picture for such a quick and easy read. I might read it again. Quick, Light, Erotic No real substance. Broody alien hero I love stories where the hero thinks of himself as unlovable and has to come to terms with the right woman setting him straight. This was one of those stories. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to add about 200 more pages to it!

Alien heart Who doesn't like a protector who is lethal to the bad slavers? Kelos is a warrior who scares the majority of beings he passes. Tempest is a human woman trying to stay alive. Entertaining Entertaining but short. I would have liked this one to be a little longer. I felt like I'd just gotten in to the world and it was over. Good, quick read though. I'll most likely read the next book in this series. Entertaining Entertaining but short. I would have liked this one to be a little longer. A great read! Good pacing, fast-action, and characters properly developed in the spacing of the book so they felt unique and not mary sue. I do not have a problem with insta lust or fated mates so enjoyed the pace of the romance.

Loved this book! Tempest is a slave and is forced to stand in a window, almost like a mannequin. Kelos sees her and is drawn to her. He rescues her and they have several adventures. They also have a lot of steamy time together. There are a few typos.
