I love Halloween. The costume parties, the ghoulish atmosphere and haunted houses. I played in graveyards with lowering spanish moss and shamrocks. My review is for Margo Bond Collins Vampire Hunter. The story is extremely short, and you can complete it in a half-hour. Appropriately, a girl is invited into a vampire hunting fraternity. I have to assume she is skilled, although my impression is that she acts before she thinks.

Emma is invited by her former boyfriend Gerald to a graveyard. She knows he is a vampire, and they don’t hunt alone. While Emma’s tactics are resourceful, she exhibits poor strategy. She travels to a graveyard with numerous methods of killing but her need for revenge makes her stupid: she tells no one. Luckily, her frat brothers help her escape the scene later.
The NYC scene is beautifully described. I can imagine the reality, and the story was entertaining and gory. I feel the holiday spirit.

Halloween Vampire Hunt by Margo Bond Collins
She broke through a glass ceiling, then she broke into a mausoleum. Emma is the first member of the woman to join Alpha Iota Mu fraternity, a group that hunts vampires. She is hunting an ex-boyfriend, Gerald, who is now a vampire, and killed the president of the frat. She has a clue. Can she find him? Can she defeat him?
This story is really quick and a little scary. Emma is brave for hunting vampires, but foolhardy for going after one alone. Gerald is Halloween Vampire Hunt by Margo Bond Collins

Silence: Little Mermaid Retold by Demelza Carlton
Margareta is a mermaid, or at least part mermaid (her father says she is a siren). She has agreed to remain silent (for how long she doesn’t know) in order to break a curse put on her brothers (they have been turned into crows). Years of silence have not broken the curse, and she is losing the Prince she loves. What can she do? On a beautiful day when Margareta was returning to the beach after some mermaid time to herself, the solution presents itself in the form of a love-struck prince, some angry birds, and an even angrier enchantress. In Silence, Demelza Carlton has created a clever retelling of the Little Mermaid. The story and characters are familiar, with a couple of intense twists. Good read.

Halloween Vampire Hunt by Margo Bonds Collins is a quick, but great story. It has a lot of action as a vampire hunter goes through a learning process. We don’t see a lot since the story is so short. I would love to see a longer story of Emma and her vampire hunting group. She seems to be feisty but also caring. It is a great story that definitely is worth reading. It was well written and the the characters were beautifully developed.

This is a review of Halloween Vampire Hunt by Margo Bond Collins. I thoroughly enjoyed this short vampire hunter story. It was well written and held my attention from start to finish. Not the usual type of vampire story which was a nice change. Can’t wait to read the rest of the stories in this anthology.

I read Margo Bond Collins story "Halloween Vampire Hunt." It is an interesting short story. It is set in New York and has hunting vampires as a Halloween event. Story is told by Emma, a vampire hunter and college student.
Being a short story, details come quickly and not a lot of backstory on the world, but it is enough to give context to the story.
I have enjoyed other stories by Margo Bond Collins and this one was satisfying as well.

Well told short story. The characters really stand out and the flow of the story is great. It seemed like there was another story that maybe that preceded this one that expanded on the relationships. Even so, I did not feel like I truly missed out on the story telling without a full backstory. Overall and a good Halloween tale.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am vol I read Margo Bond Collins story "Halloween Vampire Hunt." It is an interesting short story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Well told short story. The characters really stand out and the flow of the story is great. It seemed like there was another story that maybe that preceded this one that expanded on the relationships. Even so, I did not feel like I truly missed out on the story telling without a full backstory. Overall and a good Halloween tale. This was a very short story but was well written. It grabbed and held your attention from the beginning to the end. College and vampires seem to go hand in hand. Really like this authors writing style. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review for Halloween Vampire Hunt by Margo Bond Collins. Well written short story and kept your interest. Emma had the courage to do what she wanted. College and hunting vampires may just be exciting after all. Her first Halloween hunt was after her ex boyfriend...what could possibly happen ? Three against one does she Evan have a chance ? Will her other hunters come and help her ? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I am reviewing Margo Bond Collin's story, Halloween Vampire Hunt. Cute, short story about a college-aged vampire hunter who is summoned to show up to a graveyard alone and face her vampire ex-boyfriend. She might have bad taste in men, but she is definitely up for that challenge. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I read an ARC of Halloween Vampire hunt This story was very short and very icky. Way too much blood and gore with an evil but stupid vampire who didn’t stand a chance I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

How appropriate that I finished reading this book on Halloween. The holiday made the experience that much more intense. However, you can read this book during any season, any holiday, any day of the week and you’ll still fully enjoy it.

Halloween Vampire Hunt She is the first girl to join the fraternity and becoming a vampire hunter is part of the plan. When Emma's best friend at the fraternity is killed she feels duty bound to resolve the issue. Hunting down his killer is the game plan. The fact that he was once someone she dated wasn't. How she goes about it is the scary part. It is a fast paced story that held my attention and her resolve of the problem you will have to read for yourself. Trust me you will enjoy the hunt.
