I love Halloween. The costume parties, the ghoulish atmosphere and haunted houses. I played in graveyards with lowering spanish moss and shamrocks. My review is for Margo Bond Collins Vampire Hunter. The story is extremely short, and you can complete it in a half-hour. Appropriately, a girl is invited into a vampire hunting fraternity. I have to assume she is skilled, although my impression is that she acts before she thinks. Emma is invited by her former boyfriend Gerald to a graveyard. She know I love Halloween. She travels to a graveyard with numerous methods of killing but her need for revenge makes her stupid: she tells no one. Luckily, her frat brothers help her escape the scene later. The NYC scene is beautifully described. I can imagine the reality, and the story was entertaining and gory. I feel the holiday spirit. This story is really quick and a little scary. Emma is brave for hunting vampires, but foolhardy for going after one alone. Years of silence have not broken the curse, and she is losing the Prince she loves. What can she do? On a beautiful day when Margareta was returning to the beach after some mermaid time to herself, the solution presents itself in the form of a love-struck prince, some angry birds, and an even angrier enchantress. In Silence, Demelza Carlton has created a clever retelling of the Little Mermaid. The story and characters are familiar, with a couple of intense twists. Good read.

Didn’t matter that she didn’t know he was a vampire while she was dating him! Her ex, Gerald, lures her to the largest and oldest cemetery in New York City. He knows she will come to seek reven Halloween Vampire Hunt Margo Bond Collins Emma is a new vampire hunter who is the first female to be allowed into the all male Vampire Hunters Fraternity. This was a really great, and exciting set of stories and I enjoyed reading them! I love Halloween, so the theme of this book hits the spot for me. All of the characters are well developed (my pet peeve!) and interesting. The story worlds were interesting and believable. The writing flowed smoothly along and kept me engrossed in the stories. I read “Halloween Vampire Hunt” by Margo Bond Collins - a great short story or start to a longer one. I’d love to read more. Quite Buffy-esque but with a an all male “Scooby gang”. Halloween Vampire Hunt by Collins: I felt like I had stepped into the middle of a story. There was action and it had a great setting. I didn't really get a feel for Emma not only because this was a very short story but the feeling of missing out on most of the story. This is the story by Margo Bond Collins in this book. It was a fast read, kept me in my seat until I finished it. Disgusting and sickening imagery about vampires and their hunters. Well told short story. The characters really stand out and the flow of the story is great. It seemed like there was another story that maybe that preceded this one that expanded on the relationships. How she goes about it is the scary part. It is a fast paced story that held my attention and her resolve of the problem you will have to read for yourself. Trust me you will enjoy the hunt.
