Blues Festival A blues festival has come to town, and with the festival comes a thief. Little by little, merchants in Pixie Point Bay are missing items, some of value, some not. Read and enjoy!

Always interesting This was a little different. No murder just theft. The twist in the thefts was really surprising. Always a good story.

The Blues on the Bay music festival is a beloved annual event in Pixie Point Bay. That is until the music is interrupted by a series of thefts. Maris will need to put her detective skills to good use to discover the truth behind the crimes. Expectations are an interesting thing, especially in mystery novels where the one thing you expect to come across is a body. But The Witch Who Heard the Music doesn’t have one of them, instead focusing on a number of interconnected robberies. Admittedly, I didn’t like this at first, as I kept on looking for signs of murder only to come up empty. Fortunately, the cast of characters that pop up among the blues festival is one of the more compelling ones in the series, and everything did get wrapped up in a satisfying way. There’s plenty to enjoy about The Witch Who Heard the Music. Just don’t go into this mystery book looking for a murder.
