Sometimes a book just ticks all the right boxes that makes it impossible to put down and that’s exactly what a Whole Lotta Love by Erika Kelly did for me. I adored that both of these characters were understated, they weren’t in your face characters and while they were different, they’d had experiences that made them understand each other very well, very quickly. I adored that both of these characters were understated, they weren’t in your face characters and while they were different, they’d had experiences that made them understand each other very well, very quickly. They were highly likeable despite both being a bit reserved and not people you’d probably notice in a crowd, but they noticed one another right away and that led to a friendship, working partnership, and eventually more. I loved every moment of this book even the ones where I wanted to knock some sense into the main characters because it was those moments that made them realize how perfect they were together. Xander “Xman” Wilder is a back-up quarterback even though he’s been called a phenom his whole life, even though sports writers have said he is better than his father and both his brothers, even though he won a Heisman in his junior year of college, but two shoulder injuries have kept him out of being a franchise player in the NFL, but he’s hoping the intense sports therapy camp he’s attending over the break will get him his big break. Xander is a quiet guy, much younger than his famous siblings, divorced at age 25 after only living in the same space with his spouse for a few months, and enduring the incorrect assumptions by his teammates he prefers time on his own to do his own thing. At his agent’s request he agrees to a weeklong Maui trip with his teammates to show the teams shopping for a quarterback he’s a team player, what he doesn’t expect is to meet a woman that makes him feel things he’s not sure he wants to feel or one that sees the real him. LuLu Cavanaugh has made a name for herself in the food world including being chef de cuisine in a world class restaurant in Maui and then being fired for not being able to handle everything the job entailed. Hiding out and working in a taco truck on the beach, the last thing she expects is for most of her family including her soon to be brother in law Cassian and his famous teammates to find her there or for her secret to come out in quite the public fashion. Xander, Cassian’s back-up quarterback catches her eye and when they end up cooking together she finds he’s easy to talk to, but she feels he’s out of her league and with her history with men and her career situation she knows it’s better to just leave him behind as she heads back home to Calamity, Wyoming. I loved that despite Xander having more time in Maui, he headed to Calamity early after finding out LuLu was headed there even knowing he wasn’t in the position to get involved but there was something about her that compelled him to go. When he inadvertently hijacks her audition for a cooking show she’s pitching they end up in a heated discussion and an offer for them to co-host a unique type of show. As they end up staying in the same place and filming daily, they begin to really get to know one another sharing things they’ve never shared with others before. The fact that neither one had never felt quite like they belonged in their own families, that despite their abilities far surpassed their peers yet they were struggling, and that they didn’t feel the need to smother each other with platitudes gave them the opportunity to bond easily. I adored the time they spent laying it all out for each other, there were really few surprises between them. LuLu wants more from Xander, she doesn’t want a one night stand or even a short term relationship and Zander believes that’s all he’s capable of so they decided to be friends until he has an eye opening moment in a bar sends him running for LuLu. I kind of giggled at his rush to get back to Lu. While there was a bit of drama and while I do think LuLu overreacted a tad, I could also understand where she was coming from, but again Xander pull out all the stops to make sure she knew exactly where he stood. Both Xander and LuLu have family issues to work though and while they make great strides, it’s evident they were both way more affected by their loved one’s words and actions than they ever realized. It’s always lovely when an author gives a reader exactly what they want and while I know that’s not always possible, Erika Kelly has been super consistent from the first book I read by her. Sure there have been some books I loved more than others and a couple that fell short, but that’s to be expected over a long period of time. That being said, Whole Lotta Love was a whole lotta wonderful and a perfect small town, contemporary romance. Review copy provided for a voluntary review.

This was such a sweet story and just what I needed after all the fantasy I've been drowning in! It was nice seeing the characters live out their dreams and find what made them happy. I haven't read the other books in this series, but I'd love to go back and see the other couple's stories about how they met. Calamity seems like a fun place and I wish I could visit in real life. This is an easy book to fall into and if you're looking for a cute and entertaining small town romance, put this on your list! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lulu and Xander are fire and it's not just because they have to work in the kitchen. Their chemistry is sizzling and I loved their back and forth and competitiveness. They're both fighting to come out on top but it looked like together might be the best way. The story flows well and had me sucked in from the very beginning. But not wanting to give up Lu pulls together a plan; a tv show, showcasing her love for cooking and her beautiful hometown, however Lu never factored in co hosting with broody football player Xander, let alone falling in love. •• "Xander was the missing piece of her soul , and she knew that because with him she finally felt complete." After facing another major injury Xander needs to do all that he can to prove that he is worth his spot in the pro football world, but with his contract coming to an end and no new prospects in sight Xander needs something to bring focus to his recovery, which is exactly how he finds himself co hosting a cooking show with Lulu. With his love for food matching Lulus passion for cooking the two instantly hit it of and soon the kitchen is not the only steamy place. But what happens when a dream that was almost dead comes knocking but so does a few old insecurities? Will they be able to make it work or will they have burned to bright to fast? •• "Turns out, swooning is real. It’s an actual thing. Because right in that moment, she felt awash in fluttery, romantic feelings. This man knew her. He listened, he paid attention. And he took care of her." AMAZING!! This book was EVERYTHING I needed and more! I instantly loved Lu and Xander, these two were absolutely perfect for each other! I loved that their passion for food brought them together and was the thing that helped them find their happily ever after. There was absolutely nothing not to love about Xander, he was the perfect sexy broody hero that loved hard and worked for his lady but also had his own personal struggles. But Lulu stole my heart, I loved that she was such a wallflower or at least though she was one but was actually the star of the family. I loved the relationship with her sister all expected Stella(could not stand her). •• “I want your passion, your energy, your drive… I want your touch, your laughter, your conversation. I knew from the moment I met you that you were my forever. Some way, somehow, I knew I’d make you mine. And for the rest of our lives and into eternity, my heart is yours, and yours alone.” Whole Lotta Love was absolutely perfect, this book is one that I would recommend to any and all romance lovers! You will instantly love this couple and their journey to find happiness!

“I will always come home to you, because you are my home.” Welcome back to Calamity!! I love this town and the Cavanaugh sisters. When they meet, sparks fly and once they begin working on a reality cooking showing together, it’s hard for them to fight their attraction. But will their love be able to compete with their careers and insecurities? “She figured out what you loved, and she gave it to you. She made you feel special through food.” From the beginning, I could relate to Lulu. She always felt like she’s not good enough and that if she could just get that Michelin star, her life would fall into place. She presents a tough yet caring exterior to the outside world, but she’s extremely vulnerable inside and so afraid of being her hurt again. “All she’d ever wanted was to find the one person in the world whose soul mirrored hers.” Xander has lived in the shadow of his father and brothers his whole life. He’s an introvert but finds himself going to bars and parties just make people happy. With his pro football career on the line, he agrees to do a reality show to gain exposure, but what he finds is so much more. “I knew from the moment I met you that you were my forever. Some way, somehow, I knew I’d make you mine. And for the rest of our lives and into eternity, my heart is yours, and yours alone.” These two were absolutely perfect for each other. Their souls were a match and they just got each other. They were fun and passionate and brought out the best in each other. Being together allowed them both to grow and face their own struggles and insecurities so that they could build a better future. A Whole Lotta Love will make your heart both weep with sadness and joy. It showcases a couple who are both prickly and that fight hard for both their love and their careers. The romance is swoonworthy and the laughs are plenty. And as mad as I am at Stella, I’m excited for her story!!

Lulu in my opinion, survives rather than thrives. She’s endured being emotionally hurt, devastated by her unrequited love life. Her family is loving and supportive of her endeavours. At thirteen, she was an enterprising cook and opened an eatery in town, with a raving audience, featured in local magazines and newspaper articles. In her eyes, being fired is unanimous with being a disappointment and in her mind, she is ashamed of not living up to their expectations. Lulu’s never been influenced to exceed however, she’s been encouraged and offered every advantage to pursue her goals, yet she’s embarrassed to admit she’s failed at something. How does one aptly categorise Stella, the villainous, toxic outcast sister? Her actions were a betrayal. I am assuming her book will be one of revelations and redemption. Xander confronted with an equally over-achieving family, is a divorced, second-string/reserve quarterback, having earned a Heisman trophy with outstanding accolades. Yet, he’s failed to attain the ultimate validation due to his two shoulder injuries. Both Lulu and Xander are blessed with an amazingly supportive circle of family and friends. They share a bond, each supportive of the other, prioritising the other. Their past is important because of the valuable lessons, they learnt. They are their best selves because of their unwavering support of each other.

They quickly fell in love, but their careers were taking them in two different directions. Xander was willing to do whatever it took to be with Lulu, but convincing her that being with him didn't mean giving up on her dreams proved to be quite a challenge. I loved Xander and Lulu's teasing banter, especially when they were competing against each other during filming for their cooking show. I also enjoyed the playful, mischievous side of Lulu that was revealed during their competitions as she played silly tricks on Xander. They were so cute and funny together, and if their show were real, I would absolutely tune in! Overall, I very much enjoyed "Whole Lotta Love" and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance, particularly fans of small town and/or sports romance. I am very much looking forward to the next book of the series, which will feature Lulu's sister Stella. *Review copy provided by the author via L. Woods PR. All opinions expressed are my own.

I seriously LOVED this book. Even though it was the first book I read in this series, within the first few chapters I felt like I was at home among characters that were real people - family and friends! This book brings together two wonderful characters who have yet to achieve their potential and their dreams and they both have emotional bruises as a result. The blurb gives the impression the two main characters meet after being cast together on a cooking show. I was interested because that sound I seriously LOVED this book. I was pleasantly surprised to learn Lulu and Xander actually had meet briefly in Maui and had started to get to know each other, and then again in her hometown of Calamity. The attraction was already simmering between these two before the cooking show begins filming. Xander is an amazing male character who is perfect for Lulu. I equally loved reading about their deep and layered conversations as they got to really know each other, as I did their antics and pranks in the kitchen together. Their steamy scenes are HOT too. I loved the family relationships between Lulu and her sister. Both family’s are amazing and so supportive of each other. I really can’t wait to dive into the previous books in this series and get to know these characters better! I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

"All she'd ever wanted was to find the one person in the world whose soul mirrored hers." My match That is all Lulu ever wanted, but twice she has been unlucky in love. Lulu's drive now is pushing herself to get the Michelin gold star, to be the best chef she can be. Back home in Calamity Falls with a plan, she wasn't expecting to be attracted to back-up quarterback Xander, the quite gentle giant. Xander is instantly attracted to Lulu but he too hasn't been lucky in love, and with a family of super bowel champions, his one goal is to get into a club as the starting quarterback and make it all the way. 'Our careers end, our bodies give out, but love endures.' Lulu is torn, she wants to make her parents proud, she is leading with her head and not her heart. When she and Xander have to work together the pair begin to share the fears, but one wrong move and this fragile romance could be over before it began.

Lulu has always been the perfect child to her mama and papa never lying about things but this is one lie she cannot let them know. To them she was all stars in their eyes and coming back to Calamity as a failure was never an option until now. Then we have Xander who is great at what he does but wants to be the first time have a superbowl ring like his family. In his eyes he feels like a failure and boy does he fit just right with Lulu in every way. Erika Kelly shows us two people who feel lost in their careers yet it is love that brings them to see what they have been searching in front of their faces. This was a great addition to the Calamity series and seeing everybody again was a great treat. Loved it. "I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. She likes his outside as much as his inside and he's just the sweetest. Their connection is real and I love the the depth to the relationship. I love these Cavanaugh sisters and can't wait for Stella's story. And any sighting of the hunky Bowie men is a treat. This is a spectacular romance with tons of emotion and terrific family and friends. Absolutely fantastic! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Xander participates in the cooking show and seeing them interact is the most fun😂. Their relationship goes to another level🔥 but both fear the moment when their jobs will distance them and both will have to face their fears and insecurities. A very beautiful story and frankly very funny, it will leave you hungry for more Xander and Lulu. The 🐝 scene?😂😂😂. I hope to read Stella’s book and see what happens between her and her sisters, especially Lulu after all this years apart.

Lulu and Xander are both passionate about their careers, yet facing setbacks. Discouraged and licking their wounds, their paths cross when both face an uncertain future. Lulu's dreams of being an award winning chef are thwarted when she faces a set back, while Xander faces rebuilding his career after a devastating injury. Neither has time for a relationship. It was a great read with a perfect balance of chemistry, angst, drama and spice. It is a part of a series, but I read it as a stand alone. I will definitely go back and read the others as I fell in love with some of the secondary characters. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

They bring out the best in each other. Ms. Kelly has done a wonderful job writing these two showing their strengths and vulnerabilities. Filled with drama and passion, this is one book to scoop up and read right now! I cannot wait for the next installment.

Get ready to yell and get frustrated because the obvious is sometimes not as obvious to our characters to see. Yeah I had to take a break and get back to them, after calming down taking a breather and praying the hardheaded would see the light. An incredibly funny and heart warming story of love and so much more this book won my heart.

I loved every moment of this book even the ones where I wanted to knock some sense into them because it was those moments that made them realize how perfect they were together.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I don't think that really matters. This one worked fine for me as a standalone story and I really enjoyed it. It is a romance that questions what's really important. Lulu and Xander have both been seen as outstanding in their fields, but haven't actually managed to 'make it' yet. When they meet, they begin to question if being successful is actually all that they need. I liked Xander and Lulu and thought that they worked really well togeth I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I don't think that really matters. I enjoyed the lighthearted interactions that they had. (Although, if I'm honest I did find some of Lulu's pranks a little immature.) It was refreshing to see a couple that had a lighter side, as well as some of the heavier things that they had to deal with. Overall, this was a good read and I'd certainly check out more from this author.

This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series and is Xander and Lulu’s story. Xander is broody and injured back-up quarterback, while Lulu was a chef in a world class restaurant, until she is fired. Lulu refuses to stay down for long and comes up with a TV show showcasing her passion for cooking, and when she finds out that Xander will be co-hosting with her she is not happy. The sparks fly between these two when they meet, and they are both vying to remain in the spotlight for their careers. T This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series and is Xander and Lulu’s story. What a fun return to Calamity Falls. This series is perfect for people that love small-town romance series where you meet the characters and then get to revisit them in subsequent books, and each book is a stand-alone happily-ever-after. I love Calamity Falls so I was only too glad to be back! This is the story of Lulu and Xander..where an accidental meeting will turn into so much more for them both! They have many things in common..things they will discover by working together and spending a lot of time together! I really enjoyed the pace of the story, the fact that they really got to know each other and the way feelings developed and changed. I always love that in her stories she involves families and in this one is no different. I love Calamity Falls so I was only too glad to be back! Small town romance but the characters have big dreams. I was so worried about how they would get their HEA. I love how the sparks flew, but each character had their own hopes and dreams. And they worked to get a HEA, even if it was hard sometimes. This book is not the first in the series and can be read as a complete stand alone. You will just know more about the secondary characters and the town if you have read all of them. ( I have not, but they are on my list.)
