I think this is a great series and I have really enjoyed the previous books. That said, I didn't enjoy this installment as much as the others. One of the reasons I didn't is because JJ plays a very big part and I just don't feel any connection to her, never have and probably never will. What makes it worse is the fact that I do love Baz and I feel like she is screwing with his feelings and that really makes me dislike her. So she got fucked over in the past by some guy.. doesn't make it right fo I think this is a great series and I have really enjoyed the previous books. This book was 3/4 Brantley and Reese and 1/4 JJ and Baz, for those out there who only read MM... might be important to know ;) The parts about Brantley and Reese, I really did enjoy and I loved the fact that Trey joined their team. He seems like an awesome dude and I am curious to read more about him. So yes, I do look forward to the next book but I do hope there will be a bit less of JJ in it... though a lot of people might not agree with me. Can't help who we like and don't like though... Maybe they can get their own book... 3,5 stars from me.

Like others, I didn't care for the addition of the MF scenes/chapters. And seeing as this series has no end in sight I am wondering if other members of OTB will also be featured - Trey, etc. I like Brantley and Reese well enough and I mostly enjoy the cases they are working. But IDK, I just don't think it's enough to keep me interested. Like others, I didn't care for the addition of the MF scenes/chapters. I really enjoyed the case they were working on. BUT it's a bad sign when you care more about the case than the romance. I'm tapping out. I really enjoyed the case they were working on. BUT it's a bad sign when you care more about the case than the romance. I'm tapping out.

I am LOVING this series. My love for it goes beyond the relationship between Brantley and Reese, I enjoy JJ, and Baz, and just about everyone else that has been a part of Off The Books, except the bad guys of course. Book 3 in the Off the Book series and I loved it. In this book you get to see Reese and Brantley’s relationship progress nicely. Loved them together. Great chemistry between them. I think that my kindle melted a little. So good to see more of Baz and JJ. Want more of them too. Loving this series and can’t wait for what is next in the series.

Not my favorite in the series ... while a love the hit moments, these seemed forced and filled spaces. Lots the vibe of the crime & plot .. not sure how long I’ll stick with this going further

This was book 3 in the "Brantley Walker: Off the Books" series. I must say I didn't like this book cover as much as I liked the first two. Brantley is working toward building up the team and looking for the woman who kidnapped Travis's daughter. When they get a case about a missing woman they learn that she is not the only woman who is missing. This was a good read I figured it out quickly. I also felt that Reese and Brantley had a lot to talk about and they were sweeping things under the rug like most men do. These two had some good sex scenes not as hot as the first two books. I also thought it was cute that Reese was nervous about meeting Brantleys parents and his siblings. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Unlike some comments I quite enjoyed JJ and Baz tidbit albeit sometimes it made it a bit confusing with the many PoV changes. I've read some of the comments about JJs personality/character and I disagree with their assessment. I find JJs actions understandable in light of the situation and her past...who wouldn't be/feel insecure in her shoes be ot Male or female?! Ok Nicole, this series just keeps getting better and better. This book was amazing!! And it’s not just because I love Brantley and Reese, because I do! It’s the growing love and passion between these two that jumps off the pages and smacks you upside your head. It’s also because of the blossoming relationship between JJ and Baz, when JJ’s head gets out of her behind!! LOL 😂 It’s also because of the new team members that are coming into the books. I don’t know what cases they are going to be working on next but I can’t freakin wait to read them. This book is just coming out and I’m already chomping at the bit for the next one.

Hide and Seek is the third book in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series by Nicole Edwards. I am loving this series and all of the characters. I'm totally invested in Brantley and Reese's lives as well as JJ, Baz and now Trey! The entire series has the perfect mix of lust, romance, humor, suspense and fun. The OTB team is on another assignment while they are trying to expand the team so they can conquer more cases. They are dedicated and smart and determined to solve every case they get. It was extremely annoying to read about another couple’s pov and their own romance (MF / JJ and Baz). I really don’t care about them and they took up a good portion of the book. The book could do without both of them. I wanted the book to focus on the romance of Brantley and Reese and their working relationship too.

With this series, the number of agents/employees of OTB could continue to expand-- which is done here, and in a logical, plausible manner; and/or agents/employees with unique skill sets could be drawn to OTB because it is headed by a gay couple, and therefore seen as more welcoming (spit-ballin' here)! All that aside, I like and root for all of the current members of OTB-- and when Nicole threw in a heart-warming dog rescue, my heart just about exploded! I found myself saying out loud while reading that section, "Brantley better go back and get that damn dog or I'm gonna be so disappointed". Spoiler Alter: I wasn't. LOL. I'm looking forward to many more books and watching Brantley and Reese's relationship grow and deepen. These two are certainly meant for each other, but because their partnership (personal and professional) is blossoming over a series of books, it doesn't have the rushed quality some M/M 1-book arcs have, especially as they often careen toward endings that feel trite and hurried. Add to that the intensity of their work and investigations, which can be difficult to weave into a romance story, and Nicole Edwards does SO WELL! I'm in for what I hope to be a very long haul with these two and all the other crew at OTB.

This series has me completely hooked! This third novel finds Brantley and Reese settling more into their relationship, we get to know the other team members more (JJ and the detective? Ms. Edwards has written a brilliant romantic suspense book. Hide & Seek gives you the next step in Brantley and Reese's romance. You also see more of JJ, Baz, and Trey comes into the mix. The task force team is expanding and they also work a new case that ends up being "hide & seek". This is my favorite book in the series. I was up until 2am finishing it! I truly enjoyed the parts with Brantley and Reece. LOVED the crime story and how the team works so well together and the additions to the team. I do like Baz but I am not a JJ fan since the 1st book. Especially not after this book. JJ is the exact reason I mostly read MM books. I only skimmed through her a Baz's chapters as she annoys the hell out me. Looking forward to the next book and fingers crossed it's a lot less JJ and Baz. The chemistry and love between Reese and Brantley just melts me, and the rest of the story and characters add even more. There is a lot of set up in this story. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. I’m just letting you know that the crew is finally starting to get organized and figuring out how they want to run things in their task force. It may sound like that would be boring, but we get a lot of interaction between JJ and Baz and get to know Brantley’s brother, Trey, better. There’s also another surprise addition to the team who actually makes me fall for Reese even harder. He’s really a big softy at heart. Speaking of Reese, that man intrigues me to no end. What the heck happened to him in the military? I want to know, but I’m also afraid for his story. I just know it’s going to gut me when we finally learn all the details. It’s funny how he has slowly become more comfortable with his feeling for Brantley when in mixed company, but he still holds so much inside. With Brantley’s love and patience (isn’t it great how impatient Brantley is with all things but Reese?) he will eventually find a way to talk about his military career. Reese is amazing with Brantley and his PTSD and migraines; I wish he could see he would get the same sensitivity back when he opens up to Brantley. Like I said, there is a lot of set up in this story. A little more than halfway through, a big case hits the desk of the task force and the remainder of the story is go, go, go. This is what they are meant to do, and they do it well. During this mission we see a sweetness blossoming between Baz and JJ, we see Trey gain confidence in his place on the team, and we are able to see the trust between Reese and Brantley grow. They have really learned to trust one another’s instincts. One of the fun “day to day” type things in this story is Brantley and Reese dealing with family. The stress that comes with meeting the parents. The hope the siblings will like the significant other and the pride when they not only like them but take them into the fold. It’s really quite lovely. I’m feeling quite spoiled with this series. The author has been keeping them coming pretty quickly and I don’t want that to stop. But I understand the characters speak when they want and these stories may not always come so quickly. I’m enjoying it while I can, though. **I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the author. I felt the emotions of the MC's, cheered for them, and forgave the author for a little nonsense in solving cases - I mean the fact that any of the MC's looked at the suspect and at that moment they knew if the person was telling the truth, lying or hiding something. (And if he was hiding something, our heroes could often tell if the secret was benign or if it was necessary to look further. Yes, both MC's would make a fortune as a medium.) Unfortunately, it didn't work out for the third time. It was like another person had written it. There was nothing warm and fragile between MC´s. (Attention, there are a few light spoilers.) I know that the author often confuses her stories with fan fiction (nothing against fan fiction), so a substantial portion of her books is filled by heroes from other books who run through the pages, messing around and try to draw all the attention to themselves, but mostly they are just boring, and worse, they are frustrating. But this time it went too far. At one point, one MC reveals to another the job and family status of his seven or eight siblings (who were completely and utterly irrelevant to the story) in a few terribly boring paragraphs. Then the other MC said something like - "Ah, I remember that, you said...!"- And he repeated the whole shabang in the whole next paragraph! And the mystery part was the last straw for me. At first, the mystery started halfway through the book. At the second, the author herself made our detectives a bunch of blind monkeys. The author pointed an accusing finger at someone when they first encountered the story and then left our investigators, who were constantly bragging how superb they are, but running around in circles. It nearly killed me, when one character found a clue, noted himself, that he wanted to run it through with the others and ... did nothing. It takes a few more dragging scenes before finally another of the redundant cameo's characters pointed them in the right direction. It was pretty sad. And in the end, I have to say this: I was never a fan of the character JJ. But I started to hate her in this book. She is described as a self-centered bitch who let herself be used by Dante for years and proceeds to harass an innocent and nice guy (Baz) for her own mistakes. I liked Baz just fine and he would be much better without the harpy. Thanks to characters like JJ, I don't read MF books anymore. So, I was not a happy camper to had to bear with this disturbing intercourse between Baz and JJ in the book labeled as MM.

Of all the things to worry about is what to call this group of people, his team. Ideas for names float back and forth but nothing seems to fit. But a day of brain storming and the team finally has a name. Brantley is glad to have one thing marked off his to do list. One down lots more to go. The governor thinks they are doing a great job and wants to expand on the types of cases they work on. Which is great but there are so many cases that need to be solved and there isn't enough time or people. Plus Travis is breathing down his neck to find the woman who kidnapped his daughter Katie. Brantley decides he needs to start hiring more members to help with all the cases and so they can work on more than one case at a time. One of the people he considers for the job is his brother Trey. Brantley hopes he is making the right decision on hiring him. Time will tell. A new case comes up and it is fresh. Someone or someones is kidnapping women from a lake. The team is working with the local police department but some of the evidence doesn't make any sense. Is there one abductor or is there more? Is this a serial killer? Hide and Seek leads you on a great cat and mouse game in which you will never guess who the bad guys are. This is such a great series that Nicole cannot write the next one fast enough!! Definitely a must read.

In this the third book we find our group of investigators yet again set out to look for what seems to be an impossible mission. What is so cool to me is they are actually looking in my neighborhood of White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX. It always makes a book more interesting when it is based around your local neighborhood. This book isn't just about our two Alpha males who do bring so much more than heat to the table it is also about JJ and Baz and we get to know other new team members as well. This book hits all the marks of a great book for me and it made it very hard for this homeschooling granny to pay attention to school because I just wanted to read instead of watching the iPad. I can't wait to see how this team grows and where they go next. If they find the evil that is still lurking around the Walker household. Stay turn this series is just getting started and it looks to be a great one.

Hide & Seek is the third installment of Nicole Edward's newest series, 'Bradley Walker: Off the Books.' Hide & Seek is a foundational book for the series. We get a peek behind the veil of Reese's past and get to know the man's heart through his interactions with Bradley, Bradley's family, a rescue dog and other members of the OTB crew. What's fantastic about this series is Edward's mastery of character and character development. We get side stories with other members of the OTB crew, which make the story more engaging and leaves the reader wanting more. As always, the story is set in Coyote Ridge, so our other favorite Walkers show up, including Travis Walker still dealing with the aftermath and need for closure following his daughter's kidnapping. Not only does this does this installment keep the reader in the story, we get the signature Nicole Edwards hot and steamy sex scenes that will leave you fanning yourself! I highly recommend starting this series from the beginning as the plots are connected and the character development arc continues from book to book.

Nicole, what another amazing installment of the Off the Books series. As always you have left me speechless and wanting more all at the same time. The latest installment is a MUST READ, and I highly recommend it to anyone that just love reading a well written love story filled with complex characters all based with the backdrop of a developing and budding love story. I do recommend that you read the previous 2 books so that you know the characters within the series. In this book we get more of Nicole, what another amazing installment of the Off the Books series. In this book we get more of the development between Reese and Brantley, you ae introduced to a new romance between JJ and Baz and now we have a new team member in Sean. And while all of this is going on there is a new case that the Task Force must solve. The complexity of this story and all the twist and turns in the case takes the reader on the most amazing roller coaster ride. The race against time to solve this case puts a lot of pressure on the Task Force, they are determined, smart and will stop at nothing until the final clue is found and the missing piece to the puzzle is put in it's rightful place, even if it means that they need to be "Off The Books". OH and let's not forget that we got to see more of Reese's family, and let's not forget Travis, Z and RT. OMG can't wait for the next book. Awesome job as usual Nicole.

Book 3 in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series and for me this series gets better with each release I was captivated from the first page to the last line, I can’t get enough of these guys. Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are expanding the Off Books Task Force which means more resources to investigate more cases. Brantley and Reese’s relationship is also new so once you add in the new team members as well, life could easily get complicated if everyone doesn’t gel. The team expanding means they can jump into some completed cases that will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat as you join them piecing the clues together to see who is behind the mystery of disappearing women....the title says it all but there is more at stake than a game of Hide & Seek.... This book ticked all my boxes, I was intrigued and I was captivated in a story that has so much going for it and Ms Edwards is certainly making a name for herself in the world of suspense and intrigue. As you would expect this book hasvits fair share of steamy hot passion, the characters have chemistry and once you add in visits from some of the Walker family we love from previous books you get a perfect read. I love this series and I can’t wait for more suspense and mystery from this very talented author.

    Between the sheets book reviews

I pre-ordered this book so as soon as 12am hit this morning and I saw it sitting there on my kindle I was ridiculously excited to start it... and, I devoured it from start to finish with very little sleep. This book was just as fantastic it’s first two : Mission: All In & Mission: Without a Trace. I could seriously read hundreds of books With Brantley & Recce and still never get enough. As this story progresses with each new book we see that Brantley & Reece’s love go deeper, they are each other’s Rock, partners both in and out of the bedroom. Even though Reece is still having a hard time feeling settled When talks of meeting the family comes up. He’s determined to show Brantley that he is all in. It was a beautiful scene to watch because Of its raw honesty. Everything about this story makes me want more. I can’t get enough. I highly recommend this series , it’s a MUST READ !!! Hide & Seek (Brantley Walker: Off the Books, 3) This is the third instalment in the series. In order to fully understand the storyline, you should read the first two instalments of Brantley Walker: Off the Books before beginning this instalment. Brantley and Reece are now firmly established in their relationship. They have moved in together and are meeting each others families. I just love these two as a couple. The sex is hot and they have so much chemistry and love for each other! Also, the plot Hide & Seek (Brantley Walker: Off the Books, 3) This is the third instalment in the series. New people are being hired and it is interesting to watch how all the task force members learn to interact with each other and use each others strengths to solve cases. “Hide and Seek” is about a case where women are being kidnaped. It is up to the OTB team to solve this case before the women are murdered. The storyline consumes the reader’s attention and is full of plot twists and suspense. The book is hard to put down! I love this series and can’t wait for more instalments. I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Hide & Seek is book 3 in this romantic suspense series from Nicole Edwards. And I loved every turn of the page with this read. It is great to see them establish themselves as a legitimate agency that others turn to in their times of need. Second, the off the charts sexy relationship building is happening all around with Brantley and Reese, and others on the team. As with any Nicole Edwards story these sexy times are hot and steamy and well worth the read. And to see Brantley and Reese settle into their lives together will just put a smile on your face. And finally we dive deeper into the task force and how the teams will be run, how cases will be selected, and the overwhelming need for others. All of these elements together make for a book that is firmly planted in the series and the possibility for new cases and more stories to come.

The ending on this one was definitely a surprise. I really enjoyed this book. The team now has a new name, they are getting their offices set up and work well together. I am happy to see Reese finally becoming comfortable with his feelings for Brantley and settling in. They are so good for each other. J.J. and Baz, well hmmm....I think you should read the book. New team members, old cases, new cases, I can’t wait to see what Nicole has in store for the task force. Thank you Nicole for not making us wait too long in between books! This is a series and would be best to start with the first book, All In, to get familiar with the characters and their backgrounds.
