It was a talent she’d had her whole life, though she’d never refer to it as a “gift.” It hadn’t been enough to save her partner, Dana. And it was proving almost futile now in finding the escaped Dr. Marks. What she had learned from the bartender was that the badass woman with the prosthetic leg was looking for her. Walter Reed was on her tail—which meant that her Special Agent in Charge Westerfield knew she was missing and had sent a cleanup crew. The bartender smiled and wiped down the bar in front of her, but with a subtle push she made his gaze slide away. He wouldn’t remember her. She took another sip from her whiskey. He wouldn’t remember that he’d ever seen her, or even that someone was here and hadn’t finished her drink. But someone had followed Dr. Marks here just two weeks earlier. Christina headed out the door, chasing a trail that threatened to go cold despite her stunning talents. She was armed with her unique ability and a fierce determination to win. But probably her best asset was that she was willing to die to bring Dr. Marks to justice… NightShade Agent Christina Pines has one goal: Find and destroy Dr. Marks. The problem is that she’s not the only one after him.

I am a huge fan of this series - I count down to each release. Donovan and Eleri are the side stories as they search for Donovan's brother. Christina decided to hunt Marks, GJ's grandfather herself, ultimately going out on her own. Kimball, a new character from previous book is sent after her. To be followed by more as they investigate the wolf family that is Marks' obsession. Great addition to the series. I am a huge fan of this series - I count down to each release. This is the ninth book in the Nightshade series by A. J. Scudiere. I have read all of books and was looking forward to a book about Christina Pines. This book was fast paced, and I read it in one setting. I went back and read it again so I could savor it. I highly recommend this series and this book. A. J Scudiere knows how to write and tell an action packed and great story. The agents of Nightshade use their talents to solve strange mysteries

Sabotage is another great addition to the NightShade series. AJ takes you on another strange FBI case and while this one is centered on characters other than Eleri & Donavon, it is full of the same intrigue and suspense you've come to expect. Focusing on characters that have been minor/supporting characters in the past, expands the world being created in a wonderful way. It leaves you wanting more and wondering exactly what is really going on, on more than one level. Has Agent Pines really gone Sabotage is another great addition to the NightShade series. Sabotage is the latest installment of the NightShade Forensic Files series. In this book, Agent Christina Pines has gone rogue, searching for escaped convict, Dr. Murray Marks. She has tracked him to the de Gottardi/Little family farm, where Christina realizes there is a war going on. Agents Walter Reed and GJ Janson join her, along with a new member of NightShade, Noah Kimball. The team encounters things they have not seen before, and for NightShade agents, that is saying a lot! In this latest installment of the NightShade Forensic Files, the focus is on Christina Pines and her team of newly minted agents as they work to protect an important wolf family from powerful enemies. This is another fast-paced thriller that you won't want to put down. Occasional check-ins on Eleri and Donovan hint at exciting new story-lines to come. All I can say is that I would like A.J. I'll say now, I'm not much of a fan of fantasy. I do enjoy Jack Reacher type action novels. Except for characters' abilities, this is essentially a novel of political intrigue: Christina, who is an FBI Agent for the Forensic Files, can control people's minds and also what they see. She's joined by a new agent, whose ability is that he can make people feel what's not really there. For example, he can make a man think there is someone sticking a gun in his back. Together they travel to help a peaceful group of wolf/human shape shifters defend their compound against those who have discovered and wish to destroy them. The danger of the attack is far more extensive than they'd imagined. Other agents are called in. The story is very well written. I'd recommend reading some or all of the preceding books in the series, but you might be able to appreciate the story without them. Maybe. Take a chance on this series.

Here comes AJ Scudiere with a story not only with a super-witch that can travel through space and appear to her associates, those associates have skills of their own. Christine, having lost her partner, wasn’t ready for another partner, especially the one that Westerfield, apparently immune to the “Defund the FBI” movement prevalent in today’s politics, sent to find her. Again the Nightshade team gathered to protect the Gottardi/Little family. And, true to AJ plots seemed to be losing. Donovan and Eleri, thousands of miles away, seemed isolated from the plot, until their super-witch Eleri consulted with Christine, giving her information, and, if nothing more than inspiration, enabled her to formulate a plan that may work. Then we have the explosive ending that only AJ is capable of conceiving. Now I can get some sleep in my own tunnel.

Some closure but questions remain. I liked this. Wade’s pack is under attack again and GJ’s grandfather is on the loose again. Walter is tracking Christina Pines who has gone AWOL. Eleri and Donovan are on their own quest to learn more about Donovan’s family. It was odd not to have the whole crew together but I’m glad Noah has joined the team. Looking forward to the next Nightshade book.

Excellent Read! I really enjoyed reading this book! I wished Eleri and Donovan were more involved in the fight against Wade's family than they actually were! I know it's not over, but I can't wait for the next book to get out! I definitely recommend this to anyone who liked to read mysteries. Excellent Read! I really enjoyed reading this book! Wolff times Little community issues with the Marks organization ideals... But a fast paced pick your brain kinda story. Basically the best. Though it seems like the idea of Westerfield is he exists...But the author still doesn't know what to do with him. Great installs of the series...and now I wait impatiently for book 10. Book 9 Another fantastic read from A.J. Scudiere. Unlike many series, this one gets stronger as it goes. I love the character development, one becomes invested in the different agents of nightshade. It was good to visit the "farm" again. Excellent work. Book 9 Another fantastic read from A.J. Scudiere. A fantastic addition to the series. I love the characters and can't believe how A.J. comes up with the story lines he does. I enjoy seeing the growing powers of the characters and how they embrace their abilities. I recommend the entire series. You won't be disappointed. A fantastic addition to the series. Brilliant as always This time it’s not Eleri causing a ruckus and trying to get everyone out of harms way. The wolves are being hunted again and the Nightshade agents are working to help save them once and for all.
