I thought the story was slow and all over the place. I couldn't connect with the main characters.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. It's one thing to have the age difference and taboo aspects of the relationship between an older man and his son's ex-fiance. It's another thing for the H to sexually molest the h when she is sleeping, even if her body did respond. Her unconscious response does not equal consent and I lost all respect for the H when he could not control his desires in that moment. Oh and for God's sake the woman deserved a new ring! Otherwise this book is ok, and likely would have received three stars from me.

Forbidden Wow I can't say about this author! I have read many books by S.E Law and can they don't disappoint! So if you love forbidden romance with just the right amount of angst this book is it. A must read! I can't read them fast enough so I end up re-reading them and they are still just as good if not better. You can easily fall in love with the charters.

A little slow Not bad, a little bit slow in some places, but still a decent read. A girl and her future father-in-law lusting after each other. The end seems a bit rushed and the awkwardness of telling their families were glossed over.

This was such a fun and flirty read. The romance between both Matt and Cora was fiery and sweet. A perfect balance. I thought Cora handled the whole Marky thing with a little too much calm. I on the other hand wouldn’t have been as restrained. To each their own. But the story was great and I adored the characters. 5 Stars!

I actually lived the first part of this book right down to the engagement party. We'd know each other as long as I can remember.... Diaper buddies..... In high school we crossed the line from friendship to dating and talk of marriage. Long story short I, he came home from Atlanta to actually propose. He was late for our date so I met him in town. We sat in his car and h was miserable. My thoughts were he had met someone in Atlanta and fell for HER. was right up to the Her.... It was a HIM. Like Cora I saw the signs, hesitancy with being intimate, etc., and I guess I knew in my heart he was gay. I knew him better than most anybody did. And our story stopped there. No engagement party..... No proposal....no ring....no happy ever after. And I blamed myself. I too am curvy and J didn't care. He did love me.....as a friend loves a friend. I took responsibility for his preference and carried it way too long. This author wrote, after Cora's encounter with Marky after the engagement party, that Cora knew this was not on her. Marky's choices had nothing to do with her. She had enough confidence to go on.....I did not. There wasn't a handsome Father in law to pick up my pieces and put me back together again. Thank you S.E. Law! I wish I could express how much reading this story helped me on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The sun seems a little brighter. co

Meh There are spoilers in my review. Look away if that’s an issue for you! So, I have a few issues with this book. 1. When Marky (really Marky? There is a weird sex scene where consent is not given, Cora is literally asleep... it is so out of character for Matt. There is nothing that indicates that he would be ok with taking advantage of a woman while she’s asleep. Even a few pages after the scene he says he can’t take advantage of her... well it’s kinda too late for that. It was so weird and unnecessary. 3. Their relationship seemed too quick, not enough actual dialogue between the two to make it believable... it’s just rough. Regardless all of this, there aren’t any typos or glaring grammatical issues and it is a very quick read. So while I didn’t think it was amazing, it definitely wasn’t out right terrible either. It just was not super flushed out and was not critiqued enough during editing.

So much more than what I expected! I was pleasantly surprised at how deep and emotional this book was. Okay, so from the title and the blurb, I thought this was going to be some salacious and deviant story, and I was prepared for the worst. I was not a fan of Markey, lol, his name alone was a turn-off, but seeing as how Cora was hooked on him, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. The story built this emotional tension, you could feel a wave of something heart wrenching is coming, but the momentum had me turning pages and reading it right through to the end. I couldn't put it down! By the time the plot point turns us and the story switches to Cora and how she deals with things, I was ready for Matt to make his move, and it was spectacular! I think the buildup to the title was perfect, and I loved this story. I highly recommend this story!

The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

The tension between them is thick and they both feel attracted to each other. This book was pretty steamy and I actually liked it for the most part. My only real issue was the fact that Matt decided to touch Cora while she was asleep, which was totally inappropriate and not ok. Besides that, it was a good forbidden romance. I liked how everything turned out and it wasn't solely based on the s*x. But I did have a real issue with Matt being with Cora while she was unconscious.

Forbidden love If you enjoy the forbidden romances, you will definitely enjoy this short book. Cora has always been attracted to her fiancee's father, but thought poorly of herself for having those feelings. Matt was attracted to his son's fiancee, and when she becomes single he has no more excuses to stay away. Their romance is not and steamy, and I absolutely loved how it ended.

Only SE Law can make a taboo story so right! Cora is getting engaged to Marky, but on the night of their engagement party something goes terribly wrong. She goes and lick her wounds at the family cottage until she is saved by Matt, Marky's father. Great book Loved the love story of Marky, Cora and Matt. I actually thought Marky was late for their engagement dinner because he was with another woman. Surprise. She ended up with Matt (Marky's father) which was a good choice. Struggles always happen but everyone survives. Great book! Written by Cindy :)
