3.5 stars I’m in two minds about this one. It had a really good first few chapters. The initial meeting between Lee and Tim was all kinds of cute/sweet/kinky/hot & was “mostly” consensual. It made for an interesting setup. But there’s just something about the timeline and sequence of events that had the rest of the book feeling a little off. I’m not really sure how I feel about this book as a whole, other than to say there was parts I really liked and parts that left me a bit cold. I’m not really sure how I feel about this book as a whole, other than to say there was parts I really liked and parts that left me a bit cold. Tim, for example is a really cool character. He’s dangerous and complex, he wears many faces and meeting Lee really knocks his life off-kilter. And you know he’s a killer. He’s not called the Undertaker just because he’s a funeral director. But I’ll be honest and say, up to the end I quite liked him. But that ending sequence left me hot and cold and thinking he’s really actually quite psychopathic. Which, to me, is not sexy or romantic in this sense. It leaves me thinking this relationship will last only until Tim finally snaps and Lee ends up in his cremation oven. So yeah, this is a hard one for me. I was happy to keep reading because of the characters but the plot was a bit OTT in places. And the HFN ending left me hot and hopeful but also questioning and concerned for Lee’s life. Which doesn’t really leave me satisfied but at least it’s an ending that was unique enough to make me ponder it. Which I appreciate. I definitely liked this one more than others in the series I’ve read.

This book was dark. The other books in the series were no walk in the park themselves but compared to this book, they might as well have been. I did not quite understand how/ why they were wired the way they were but as everyone is different and gets their rocks off differently, I just went with the flow. Bear in mind that when I say "dark", I mean it from my perspective because I know some of you Dark romance lovers will read this book and roll your eyes at me. Lol! So yeah, while it might not have been my cup of tea, it was still fascinating enough for me to get to the end and that makes me SO proud of myself! I'm off to read the next book where we FINALLY get to see how the inside of King's head looks like. :)

Undertaker Tim I’m not sure why it took me so long to read this one. I guess, ultimately, Tim never really appealed to me. In all the other books he’s appeared in, he seems 100% unhinged. Let me tell you, that doesn’t change in this book either. Lee seems almost too green for someone as hardcore as Tim. I’m glad Lee was able to take with Tim dished out, but it was A LOT. Lee really doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into. While I appreciated the brand of crazy that Tim had, I really adored L Undertaker Tim I’m not sure why it took me so long to read this one. This is pretty BDSM heavy, and Tim is an Uber Dom to the extreme. Lee eats it up with a spoon. Their interactions were extra sexy. Aaron (King), president of the Kings, really came off as unlikable here. Tim has beef with a rival MC member and that is the underlying story arc. King seems to push Tim an awful lot. Overall, this was an okay addition for me. I really do enjoy this series though and look forward to exploring more in New Gothenburg.

I can't say for sure what I'd been thinking when I sign up for this party but hey the best opportunities come when you least expect them and I'm sure hoping this is one of those times. Yeah most people look at me like that when they ask me for my legal name who knows what my dad was really thinking. I prefer Lee to my weird name. Okay I'll admit i'm totally out of my element which is an understatement of mass proportions. Especially when I draw the attention of one particular man who possesses a unique brand of kink and he's making sure I'm paying attention to his lessons. His name was Lee. Well I did snatch the cut he'd had in his possession inviting him to come get it. I'm impressed he'd actually showed when I really didn't think he would. And yes I'm starting to piece together all the facts I've uncovered so far. But I'm not letting him leave just yet I want another shot at Lee. My Uncle sent me to the morgue. And for some reason I couldn't help the dreaded feeling inn the pit of my stomach what ifs can drive you crazy but I had to know if the body I'm picking up is someone I happen to know. I'd never been more grateful in my life the body wasn't his but it did belong to that vile club. I'm a mean man bent on find out what happened to Lee and I'll do anything to there new prospect to find out. Yeah poor fool should have learned but I'm not about to make my own mistake. Everything that's happened to me was my own fault I should have been more careful. But seriously the last thing I want is for my mom to know the truth about how I truly got hurt. Find out I'm done with club was bad enough after the pain that been inflicted on me but know there trying to squeeze everything out of me. I never meet anyone who would allow me free reign over them the way my beautiful pet has and now I want to keep him. Perfect mix of dark and romance! I grabbed this up on someone’s recommendation and kept putting off reading it for several reasons, but I’m glad I finally read this book. It’s totally my kind of k!nky dark romance. I read a few reviews that stated this book is overly violent, but I have read much, much more violent romance than this. I thought this was pretty tame and less violent than I expected. Plus, most of the “dark” parts are Tim’s thoughts and nothing that actually happens. You have to go Perfect mix of dark and romance! You have to go into the story knowing that Lee is a very messed up individual, but loyal to his core to those he cares about. Of course, his affections walk a very fine line with the cold killer within him. As for the relationship - I loved it. Lee is SO into Tim from the start and it never felt like a stockholder syndrome or unhealthy relationship. He sees what he believes is the real Tim, or at least a side that Tim has only ever shown to Lee, and understands that Tim’s actions speak louder than his words. Tim cares, but in his own way. There is no relationship drama as both men are pretty committed to each other early on, even when Tim thinks he’s fighting his attraction (we know better!). Are they into some dark stuff? Sure, to those people who consider what they do is dark. Tim is a sadist and Lee is 100% into it. Anyways, I’m not sure yet if I’ll read the rest of the series because I’m just not a fan of MC books, but if I were going to read one? It’d be this series because I like this author’s storytelling and characters a lot. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone, although I’m sure there are some things I didn’t catch, but they didn’t seem necessary to enjoy this book.

How will these two manage the relationship each wishes and belong to two different MC? Will Tim get the sub he wants? Will Lee get the Dom he needs? The steamy care these two displayed in this fast paced dark story is worthy of the page-turning read. Another intense addition to a powerful MC storyline. **I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving my voluntary review. **

Weirdly Good The Undertaker was a very complex character and I never knew which way his mind was going to go. He fought tooth and nail not to give in to his feelings for Lee but the heart has a funny way of messing with your head. He was so cruel with his emotions and sadistic with his kink sometimes, I felt bad for Lee. But Lee handled all the different sides of Tim and got his crazy Master in the end. Deliciously twisted Undertaker has been my favourite since the beginning, with his ability to creep people out and his nonchalance to torture and pain and death he's a very interesting man. With what he reveals of his childhood and teens it's no wonder that he's who he is and it would take someone really special to be able to take that kind of crazy. But when Lee comes along in the form of a prospect in a rival club and with kinks that align with his it's a match made in blood. Intense and Wicked I'm intensely enjoying reading this series of the Kings. This story is about Tim who is a King and Lee a wannabe prospect of the Demons who has this freaky BDSM relationship. Fascinating mm story I don’t know what type of research these two authors did to get into the mind of a character like Tim, The Undertaker or if he just climbed out of their interesting brains but he is fascinating to read about. Small spoilers but not really. lol This story did not catch my attention as the others did which saddened me in a way because Tim was my favorite King so far. I was really looking forward his HEA. I'm Fully Fine with the BDSM aspect of the relationship but there are other moments, such as near the end, that just makes Tim seam like his psychotic and the future may not end well for Lee. Great addition to the series! Yeah! We finally got Undertaker's story. I loved it! I loved the chemistry between him and Lee. And I loved that Lee was a big muscular man who looked like he should be an dominate and was really a submissive. Or I guess he was a masochist to Undertaker's sadist. So far my most favorite read of this series This pair, undertaker Tim and the young man Lee are my most favorite couple in this King’s Men series. Their dynamics match the best. Tim is such a fascinating character, dangerous, violent, cold blooded to those who hurt what was deemed to be his. He would do anything to keep Lee safe and well tended. Lee, while soft and naive in his own way, is also a strong character who fit Tim in all ways. The book is so fulfilling, exciting. This is just one of those I started but never finished, and now I just don’t feel like going back to it? It’s a book where I feel like if I do finish all in one sitting, I’ll just never finish it. There are a lot of characters from other books, I don’t think just from this series. So it’s hard to just jump in halfway, I think. There’s BDSM sex scenes but maybe too many sex scenes (for me at least). And the book just really never felt as ~dark~ as I was expecting. So, eh. So, after having ZERO interest in reading Undertaker's book - because he creeped me the heck out - this book turned out to be really good! The author did a great job humanizing Undertaker, while still keeping him authentic so he didn't turn into a pod person. Lee was perfect for him and I really enjoyed them together. The angle with the attraction to King was interressstinggg and just made me love King even more. Lawd, my love for him is unnatural lol. All in all really good book that I felt wen So, after having ZERO interest in reading Undertaker's book - because he creeped me the heck out - this book turned out to be really good! I've read several books written by Ki Brightly; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books. The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book. I loved the characters. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review. I absolutely love Undertaker. He’s such a different character. He’s very distinct which I appreciate. It’s easy to look back on books I’ve read and find a lot of easily interchangeable characters. I love how sweet Lee is too and how innocent he is but how just up for anything he is too. I feel like the way the romance between undertaker and Lee went was very believable and I love seeing them together in subsequent books!

Steamy, hard and sweet I really loved this book. I haven't read a slightly (or not so slightly) dark romance in a while and I loved it so much. Both Tim and Lee are complex characters whose exterior does not match what goes on in their heads and hearts. I loved the push/pull love/hate of the beginning and how it morphed into something hot, possessive, loving and sweet in its own way. It was a great book and now I am off to go and read the rest Steamy, hard and sweet I really loved this book. Loved the couple but didn’t love the rest. Full disclosure: I’m generally not a fan of motorcycle club books, but I was interested in this couple and their dynamic so I gave it a try. And I actually loved the main characters, their relationship, their D/s dynamic, but all the other stuff that happened in the book was boring motorcycle club stuff and I ended up skimming a lot of it. I think if you are into MC books, definitely give it a try!

the world needs a sequel! my #I romance fav I have probably read this novel 50 times. Or more. My favorite of the series if not my favorite “romance” novel of all time. I have more then a few friends that agree too. Though I know this doesn’t follow the format of these types of series. But I think a sequel novel for this couple is needed! Or at least a few short story follow ups! please please write more Undertaker/Triumph stores! Xoxo

I loved this book. When Undertaker (Tim) sees a wannabe Dom and Demon on stage at Kings party. He decides to teach him a lesson. Tim is a Dom and gains control over Lee. It was only supposed to be a bit of fun but Tim wants to keep his Demon pet. There seems to be no way to make that a reality. When rival club problems are close to exploding and is almost a full out war. Undertaker agrees to race for the kings against the Demons. Will Undertaker survive to claim his Demon Pet?

Mortimer and Triumph... Beautiful love without having to say a single word. The fiery Undertaker and the motorcycle club prospect find that connection with only interacting once and what an explosive moment that was. Finally they found themselves with the strongest partner they are meant to be with. Love beyond all.

This book is everything!!! 60% in, I became quite sad because I knew that I was halfway through and I could have read thousands more pages. I loved how sweet Lee was and how Tim took care of the man he considered his. I know the author said they were considering writing a sequel and today, after finishing, I can only hope that this is really the case.
