I love seeing that in books and this author never fails to write amazing groups like that. ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute (semi) enemies turned lovers (if you can call it that since it only lasted 2-3 chapters max) office romance. Despite the instant love feels I got from this read, Prior and Paris were smoking hot together. I think they were able to even each other out and I enjoyed that they were straight forward with their relationship. It felt mature as in no petty ass drama that typically happens in romance drama (cliche misunderstandings, fights and all that jazz). Besides a crazed ex and the typical family drama, it was smooth sailing. I do want to point out that this did have an overly predictable storyline. It didn't seem like a whole lot was happening at some points of the story beside the last two chapters when the main characters are assaulted. Nonetheless, it wasn't terrible so I'll give this author another go.

From That Moment is the second book in the Promise Me series by Carrie Ann Ryan. I didn't particularly like the fact that Prior had a girlfriend at the beginning of the book, but it helped a lot with the characters. Paris does not think highly of Prior, to put it mildly, I felt that the girlfriend thing acted as a barrier in order to allow them to get to truly know each other while at the same time setting some boundaries to make Paris more comfortable. I like how Prior and Paris slowly built their relationship, but I would have liked to see the girlfriend gone a little bit sooner. There is some very heavy teasing for Macon and Dakota's story and I can't wait to get my hands on their book! I also wanna see Nate and Myra getting their happy ending because there were a lot of angry looks between them. Overall, the book was good and I had a great time reading it! The characters were good and dimensional, there was suspense just like the first book and I felt like the characters truly fell in love with each other instead of been forced to because the plot dictated so. From that moment is another winner in the series!

Their relationship was initially built on friendship—and quickly moved into attraction. And I loved watching Paris’s walls come down and allowing Brady to see the real her. I really liked how the relationship slowly built between Paris and Prior. They had a basis of friendship, through common friends. Then when they started to work together, Prior was there to stand up for Paris against a horrible co-worker. When things changed between them it seemed very natural. When trouble came at Paris again and again, Prior was there for her. It was so great to see them get their HEA.

Paris and Brady are like oil and water so it is bad enough that they have to see each other socially as his brother and her best friend are together but now they need to work together. Wonderful new addition to this series! My favorite so far! I really enjoyed the snarky animosity between Paris and Prior in the beginning. Sparks abound and I loved that it was the heroine for a change who is closed-off and a little abrasive, for very good reasons, and the hero who is more obviously kind and non-confrontational. Prior is strong and genuine, and has a great capacity for love and friendship. He’s manly in all the good ways, without straying into toxic macho behavior. Prior is strong and genuine, and has a great capacity for love and friendship. He’s manly in all the good ways, without straying into toxic macho behavior. There’s no cheating here, phew, but Prior isn’t single when the story starts, and it takes him a little time to realize he needs to make some changes in his life. He is definitely not in a healthy relationship, Allison is manipulative to say the least, and there absolutely is more to his tentative friendship with Paris than he at first thinks. I liked the realism in the story, especially as it pertains to the challenges and misogyny Paris faces in her job, how she handles herself, Prior’s reactions, supportive but not fighting her battles for her. Like in the first book in this series, Paris and Prior also find themselves in an unexpected dangerous situation and things get quite dicey and scary. I was taken by surprise when I found out who exactly was the threat, which I loved! I hate when these kind of things are too predictable. As always with a Carrie Ann Ryan there’s a wonderful emotional depth to the main characters’ connection, and the relationship is balanced and equal. The blind dates were both hilarious and cringe worthy, and we get teasing glimpses of the coming couples in this series. Can’t wait to see who’s next!  For audiobook: Narration: Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder both did a wonderful job with their narration for this story. Their voices blend beautifully together. Emma Wilder has a soft voice and does especially well with Paris’s more vulnerable moments, but also manages to capture her inner strength. Jason Clarke has a deep, warm voice which is a pleasure to listen to, and I really loved his voice for Prior. His performance really fit Prior’s laid-back charisma and steadfast nature.

The woman in the series are helping each other move forward from their pasts and begin dating. Paris has had some bad blind dates so far and is ready to throw in the towel but love usually comes where you at least expect it. Prior and Paris have always seemed to be at each other’s throats, so when he goes to work with Paris, can they learn to work together, right? I loved Paris. Though she carries some heavy baggage from her past, she is strong and determined. Prior was caring and protective. As lines begin to blur, can they see what they truly share before it’s too late? He was starting a new job, he was excited about. But there was one obstacle, the woman he was supposed to be working with for the next six months hated him and he didn't know why. Paris Trissel, came from a broken home, one that caused her more than a few broken bones. She did everything in her power to leave her past behind her. Now she had a job and her friends she loved, she just wasn't putting herself out there anymore. She'd been on a few blind dates and now she was calling it quits. Despite the pact she made with her three best-friends, Hazel ( FOREVER ONLY ONCE ), Dakota & Myra to find someone to share her life with. She wasn't having a great year. Not only was her love life nonexistent, the new hire at the job she used to love was the one Brady that she couldn't stand...Prior. Both Paris and Prior had to compromise in order to be able to work with one another. There was an attraction between them that was undeniably visible. Yet they were forcing themselves not to act on it, but fate had something else in the works for them. When Paris's past came back to haunt her, they found that they were stronger together than apart. Love the transition from enemies to friends to lovers between Paris and Prior. He showed her that just because he was a man, it didn't mean he couldn't use her help. It was a privilege to work along side her, she was beautiful, smart and very talented. He respected her. She saw a side of him that she never knew and it warmed her heart to know that he only shared that side of himself with her. I love parallelisms, so I was excited to see how Carrie would play out this premise with different couples as the series progressed. In the second installment featuring Prior Brady and Paris, this is more of an enemies to lovers vibe- our leads already know each other since one is the best friend and the other the brother of our couple from book 1. Brady ends up working at the same company as Paris, and given their history of tension they immediately butt heads. The enemy vibe quickly dissipates however as they two grow more friendly. Prior is in a relationship while Paris is in a cycle of bad blind dates. Brady is privy to a particularly nasty one, resulting in their bond deepening and a friendship forming. Eventually Brady finds himself without his girlfriend, and Paris has sworn off the crappy dates- and a particularly traumatic experience bonds them further. Soon we learn there is some painful history that Paris hasn’t quite recovered from, and Prior turns out to be a steady and reliable friend. But, of course, the attraction grows to a feverish place, and like our premise promises, a dangerous finale awaits this couple. Prior was pretty dreamy- nerdy, reliable, kind and empathetic. And sexy...oh sexy. And Paris really grew on me. She’s so strong and resilient despite the misogynistic crap she deals with at work and her painful past. I empathize with the vault she put around her heart and the distance she keeps from others- she’s just trying to protect herself. Prior breaks through it though- with compassion and patience and his steadiness. I really loved how Carrie invested so much time in helping these two connect emotionally- it really paid off in terms of believable chemistry. That enemies to friends to lovers pacing and given that Prior is in an existing relationship, that does mean this book is a bit slower burn. The burn pays off though- these two have great physical chemistry and by the time we get there it feels more substantial because of the friendship groundwork laid. I kept waiting for the conflict/climax to start coming after we finally get these two into a romance, and it comes fast and hard. The ending felt a bit hasty in terms of pacing, especially after the more steady pace of the rest of the book- and our story wraps up a bit quickly. We get a nice and steamy epilogue though that soothes after fast paced climax. Overall, a great second installment to this steamy, fast paced series. It was fun to see Carrie take the same architecture and build around it in totally different ways in book 2- has me excited to see what will play out in book 3!

Forever Only Once was the first book in the series featuring Cross and Hazel and now Paris's friends are set on finding her a man. Only trouble is the blind dates she has been on so far have been a disaster! Prior is the brother of Cross so has known Paris for a while. Paris and Prior have always butted heads and now he is working for her it is even more difficult. Prior does have a girlfriend at the start of the book but there is no cheating. I must admit I feel in love with Paris - she is a strong woman working in a mans world putting up with a lot of crap from her co-workers; she has had a really awful childhood one that nightmares are made of — this she keeps to her self and locks that part of her past away, but when the past and present collide Prior is the one that is their to pick up of the pieces. Their is great chemistry between the two but the story starts of with two people that disliked each learning about each other and becoming friends first. I just loved that element of the story. Well, done Carrie Ann Ryan for a another great story - I can't wait for the next one!

And of course it can't be easy. Carrie Ann put in some awesome villainesque characters to put a damper on things a few times. We also get some really hysterical blind dates and crazy ex's. Other than the chemistry, I LOVED seeing the family and friends together! The Brady men are so close and the ladies even closer. Seeing this group together was super heart warming. Also, I LOVED the little bits of tension between those not paired, it is giving us THE BEST taste for the future! My only complaint about this whole store, was the extreme drama. All of Carrie Ann's books have this, but this one was way more on the obvious side. I like an extra level of suspense, but this one was almost an eye roll moment for me. BUT, that did NOT ruin this book in any way. I still give it 4 stars because I was absolutely addicted beginning to end!

There was plenty of action/intrigue to hold your attention as you try and figure out what is going on and who is coming at Paris. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Both Paris and Prior are just like the rest of us. Dont have an f'n clue what they're doing and dont have a plan about anything, they're winging it, just like the rest of us. They're real and down to earth and have weird shitty days just like the rest of us.....and then they have omg wtf type days where you wouldnt believe it if you werent there. They never planned on being together, that just happened. But boy am I glad it did. They WORK like the fates had deemed it. Dowsnt matter, I know I'm gonna enjoy their journeys just as much as I enjoyed Paris and Prior. Please for all that's left of my sanity, Carrie Ann Ryan, if these two have kids....dont name them anything beginning with P. Please!!! X Loved it, it felt real and genuine and a damn good read.

Another stand out delivery Carrie is one of my favorite auto-buy authors because she consistently (and frequently!) delivers superbly written books that draw me in from the beginning and don’t let me go until they’re over. In this one, I strongly related to Prior, as his job is the closest equivalent to my own that she’s written so far... good QA people are worth their weight in gold, and both Prior and I are smart enough to recognize this fact. And the twist at the end of the book caught me off guard, I definitely wasn’t expecting that. (Though, knowing Carrie, I probably should have, in retrospect.) As always, highly recommend; if you haven’t read her books yet, do yourself (and her clowder of cats) a favor and just buy her entire backlist. You won’t regret it. 😀

From That Moment by Carrie Ann Ryan is part of A Promise me series. This is Paris & Prior’s story. Once again Carrie Ann Ryan wrote a wonderful book. The writing is wonderful. Paris and Prior were combustible together. There’s mystery, angst and suspense along with the romance in this book. I look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5-stars! From That Moment by Carrie Ann Ryan is the second book in her Promise me series. This is Paris and Prior’s story and will have you captivated from the start. The woman in the series are helping each other move forward from their pasts and begin dating. Prior has had some bad blind dates so far and is ready to throw in the towel but love usually comes where you at least expect it. Prior and Paris have always seemed to be at each other’s throats, so when he goes to work for Paris, can they learn to work together? I loved Paris. Though she carries some heavy baggage from her past, she is strong and determined. Prior was caring and protective. As lines begin to blur, can they see what they truly share before it’s too late? Another great read from this author! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!

Paris and Prior are a couple that I thought wouldn't ever come to be , I mean she hated him and he didn't know why, then they work together and become friends then even more, Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to make us fall for the couples in her books and you can't help but root for every one of them

From that moment is an enemies to lovers story with a lot of emotion thrown it. I really enjoyed Prior and Paris, they were both well rounded characters who really complemented each other. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Prior and Paris just kinda, sorta, happened. They just kinda ended up being friends after being acquaintances. They sorta ended up being attracted to each other the more they spent time together as friends. They happened to fall for each other once they were honest with themselves about their feelings for the other. They were sweet, truthful, forward, and understanding in turn. They also were hot and sexy together. Of course, we had to have a baddie lurking trying to mess with their lives in gen Prior and Paris just kinda, sorta, happened. These problems each caused different types of chaos, and our couple handles it all, and then the real problem strikes. These two want their HEA and nothing is going to keep them apart. They pull through and you are pulling for them from the start, because they fit so wonderfully together!

Wonderful read. Paris has been going on her blind dates that her friends set up and they keep getting. She runs into Prior twice while she is one them, then he starts work at her branch. He does coding, she finds bugs in it. She doesn't like him but can't really say why. They become friends and then more. He has this wonderful family and she had an awful one. There is romance, drama (lots of that) and then a horrid attack. A good book that let us visit with old friends. I got this book from the Wonderful read. Paris and Prior run in the same circles now that Hazel and Cross are together. They seem to dislike each other but neither seems to know why. When Prior starts working with Paris things change as they become friends. Paris is still going through with the dating pact and has some interesting dates and it just so happens Prior comes along while she is in on these dates. I love seeing these two go from people who seem to hate each other to friends to lovers.
