Loved, loved, loved the ending to Del and Len’s story! What a unique spin on the Cinderella story. It was filled with so much heartbreak and triumphant moments that it sent me on a roller coaster of emotions that I never wanted to get off. Another gem by author M. Lynn that you definitely don’t want to miss out on. And I really hope we get to hear more about Queen Helena and King Del in the coming books!

I cannot wait to read more from her. This series is highly addicting, and such a unique re-take on Cinderella. Len has grown so much in a short amount of time, and I cannot wait to see her flourish even more moving forward. This is a must read series!

Wonderful book. It took me a little while to finish this as I think, subconsciously, I was trying to savor the moment. It was such an enthralling story. So much passion, love , excitement and mystery. A dash of Magic too. I can’t tell you how much i fell in love with this story. It was all encompassing. My words never do justice to the books, that’s why I read. I can honestly say that I was swept away to another level away from this hum drum world. Somehow I read the 4th book Glass Kingdom first and had to go back to start at the beginning so I read 1-3 and now this one #5. This was I think everything I was looking for in a sequel. I don’t know what else to say about it honestly. It was really good. The characters that needed to grew and had good closure. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

At first, I thought Helena would be safe in Bela, happy and able to start a new life, perhaps. But then, when she went to Gaule to save Quinn, all the tension and fear she must’ve felt, I felt that too. And when she boarded that ship and arrived in Madra, I felt that tension so much. I couldn’t stop reading, simply because I felt like I would explode if I didn’t. When Helena was faced with Cole, I could see that he still loved her. That he never meant for her to be injured, that he was glad she was still alive, when he thought her wound killed her. It was heart-breaking to see that maybe he hadn’t want things to go the way they did. But when he beat her in front of everyone and made her wear the mask again, boy I got angry! I was honestly so shocked when Cole showed her the “surprise”. I did not see that coming, and it was both heart-warming and heart-breaking at the same time. There was so much raw emotion in this book and I felt every little ounce of it. It felt like I bled alongside them, cried with them and laughed with all the amazing characters in this book. And that ending, when Cole died, it was bittersweet. Because in the first book he was always kind to Helena, but he made his choices and the other Rhodipus children would never be safe with him alive. But I couldn’t help but shred a few tears. I loved the romance between Dell and Helena. It’s obvious they love each other, but Helena’s obligations, pain, anger and revenge stand in the way. But no matter what, Dell will love her always. He will always be loyal to her. And in the end, she finally fully loves him back. I am so sad that this duology is over. I would’ve loved to see more of Queen Helena and Dell, of Estevan and Edmund, of Kassander, Quinn and Camille. For me, this story can’t be over yet. I’m glad I still have the Rapunzel trilogy left to read, which tells Etta’s story. And the new series, which tells Tyson’s story. I can’t wait to read all those amazing books, because I’m not done with this universe and I’m not ready to say goodbye to it yet.

I understood why she was the way she was and wanted her to learn that vengeance isn't the way to move forward. Dell dealt with a lot growing up so when everything happened in Madra, it affected him but not like it did with Len. I loved the dynamic between the two of them in this book and how Dell just tried to be there for Len no matter what. Edmund is still one of my favorite characters and I hated seeing all that he had to go through in Glass Kingdom but also throughout this series. I hoped he wasn't dealt one more blow which would have broken him. I loved the ending of this duology and Helena and Dell's story. It was brutal, sad, and not exactly the happy ending you'd expect. While everything ended up working out, all the characters were left with lasting scars, physical and emotional. This was a heavy book and dealt with some heavy subjects. I still enjoyed it so much and I cannot wait to read Noble Thief!

I have loved this remarkable retelling of Cinderella !! I would love to be able to crawl inside this authors mind, curl up and be entertained forever. The characters that she creates weave themselves into your heart & mind making you cheer them on, worry for them, hope for them & cry for them. The storyline had every aspect of emotions and every range of possibilities. Giving us suspense, heartache, grief, loyalty, joy, magic and bravery. My heart ached for Helena & her family, plus Dell. I was in bits several times, desperately wanting this love to conquer all. Edmund, Tyson, Alex & Etta have been constant characters from the beginning in this series, from book.1. “Golden Crown” which Introduced me to a new world that I never questioned or thought of as fiction. It’s been noteworthy, how the author has effortlessly interlaced them throughout the whole “Fantasy and Fairytales” series, connecting them with each new tale that’s told. I hate leaving spoilers, as I believe we each look for different things from a story. That’s why I’m skirting around the edges of the storyline, but letting you know that I feel Michelle Lynn is page turning, edge of your seat, exceptional author. M. Lynn has a way of grabbing ahold of your heart and giving it a squeeze with the words in her stories. I have so many thoughts and feelings about this book/series. But I'm not sure I know how to put them all into words or where to even begin. First off let me just say that my love for Dell surpasses my love for everyone else in all of M. Lynn’s books. He has lost everything but doesn't care because he has Helena. *swoon* He makes her a better person, even if she hasn’t always realized that. (Now don’t get me wrong, she’s a strong heroine and can kick some major booty all on her own) But just like I have so many thoughts and feelings about this book/series. The journey that all of these characters have taken has changed them so much and made them all stronger and closer. It was funny to see Etta’s and Helena’s jealousy of Edmund’s friendship there for awhile. Everyone wants a piece of him it seems. The twists and turns and betrayals caught me by surprise. I didn’t expect several things to turn out the way they did and I was on my toes anxiously waiting to see what would happen next. My only real complaint is that there wasn’t more. I wasn’t ready for it to end. I say we file a formal protest and make Miss Lynn give us more lol

    M. Lynn has carved out a niche with fairy tale reimaginings, taking our favorite childhood characters and making them badass for an adult audience. There are many characters to keep track of on both sides, and with loyalties continually shifting, it was often hard for me to tell who to root for (except for Len and Dell, they were awesome). But the ending was rock-solid perfect, a fitting end to this two-book story. I look forward to the next book in the series!

This is the second and final book in the True Story of Cinderella series, and starts two weeks after the first finished. 4 Stars This was a good ending to the story of Madra and it’s ruling family. I went with 4 stars for 2 reasons. One, the romance was lacking. Len and Dell had no chemistry and acted no closer than friends with the exception of Dell following after her like a puppy. Two, there were several grammatical errors. Not enough to detract from the story, but doesn’t someone get paid to edit these things? I’m no expert, but even if it’s a self published work...there should have been beta readers or someone 4 Stars This was a good ending to the story of Madra and it’s ruling family. A beautiful conclusion to a great duology. In the last part of this retale of Cinderella, Helena faces her demons, preparing for some of the most difficult decisions of her like. Fighting along with her are Edmund, who grieves the death of his lover and Dell, who will do anything in order to keep Len safe. They are joined by Alex, Tyson and Etta, who teaches Helena that there are more ways to rule a kingdom than her father's reign through fear. A beautiful conclusion to a great duology. I want to call this book "typical" for this series. And by that, I mean it is equally amazing. There isn't one stand out book among them, because they are all at such a high standard. Insanely beautiful cover - check Pristine writing - check Fierce heroine - check Intricate supporting characters - check Action for days - check Sweet romance - check As always when I read an M. Lynn book, highly recommended. Can't wait for the next one. I want to call this book "typical" for this series. And by that, I mean it is equally amazing. People are not always who you think they are nor do they always make the choices you think the should. Len struggles alot to find her way in the world and to figure out the person she wants to be in this one. Dell only wants to be there for her not matter if she is closing him off with her coldness. And Poor Edmund my heart just break for them. This story is full on many many things you wont see coming and we all know vengeance never ends well. You must fight with your heart to win.

As par, I am just totally in love with this fantasy twist to the fairytales. I could not stop enjoying books. There was no anxiety in reading them just enjoyment. There was lots of action and suspense just not that suspense that leaves you anxious. I can not wait to start the next book in the series. Being the holiday season I fear I may have to do so on kindle but I will be checking the book store this week. :) happy Monday everyone.
