In our previous anthology, Bite-Sized Tales of Terror, we set the table with micro and flash fiction stories, which we established were the hors-d’oeuvres of the literary realm. It Came From the Snack Bar! is an expansion to the menu. We’ve removed the claustrophobic word count limit and allowed the chefs to have their way in the kitchen. While the stories remain short, none are sweet. Each tale packs its own flavorful punch, ensuring these stories will stay within your mind long after you read them—like the taste of your soul after sampling it at the local greasy spoon. This anthology was born from the success of the Bite-Sized Tales of Terror. Many of the original authors have returned to the kitchen and have once again cooked up some dark delicacies to disturb the heart and soul. Or at least give you a bad case of heartburn. To keep things hot and fresh coming out of the kitchen, we’ve added new authors into the mix as well. This rogues gallery encompasses the best authors from Reddit’s premier horror flash fiction community, /r/ShortScaryStories. These are authors who’ve proven incredibly capable of crafting some of the most terrifying fiction on the internet. Many have had their work narrated on Parsec Award winning podcasts, have been featured on YouTube channels reaching hundreds of thousands of views, and have had their work turned into short films. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill amateur writers; these are some extremely talents folks who’ve donated their time, effort, and stories to this anthology. Without them, Bite-Sized Tales of Terror and It Came From the Snack Bar wouldn’t have been possible. Perfect for when you want a quick read or if you are like me you read them all in one sitting cause I can't get enough!!! Plot and story lines are engaging in each one and never repeat. Wonderful well developed characters in all of them. Loved this so much and the fact all proceeds are going to a childrens' charity makes it all the more reason to get and rea! Wonderful read and love the concept and can't wait for the next one!! Recommend reading! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed a lot of these stories. These are slightly longer than drabbles but still really concisely written, no fluff for word count, just good stories. Like all anthologies I liked some stories better than others but they were all really good and I actually understood all of the stories, usually one or two doesn't make sense to me, some horror is just too out there. Fun collection of horror. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I absolutely love these tales of horror and weirdness! I cannot get enough! I loved the bit-size tales and now this book is equally compelling and entertaining. While this book also has some great stories and some not as great, they all are good and I recommend this book to anyone who loves these tales as I do. Horror d'Oeuvres: Volume 2: It Came From the Snack Bar! is a fantastic multi-author anthology of short horror stories guaranteed to send chills up your spine. The authors have served us a collection of gruesome, ghastly, and grim yarns that can be broken up into short breaks if you are too afraid to read them one after the other. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Loved it allm Every story was original and captivating! None of the authors were long winded and told a take that gripped you from the first sentence
