Expressing the native voice, Tapahonso writes clearly and distinctly poetry that is relatable to Natives and nonnatives alike. She makes everyday occurences culturally significant and also shows the humanity of all of us. I love this book, not because I am Native but because I am human.

A nice, short book of poetry that was very heartfelt. Not as good or as strong as Blue Horses Rush In, but the poetry speaks of hardships and joys beautifully.
