So overall I enjoyed this book. 3.5 star rating. My favorite part of the book was the last five chapters. To me those chapters were the most interesting, full of action, and the best chapters out of this entire book. They also wrapped up this duet series nicely. Full Review on my blog! This series is brilliant. I loved the first book and this one was as intense and spell binding as the first one. She travels with Lochlan to the Shadowlands, where we meet Fen, he helps her learn her magic and it's not an easy task. The shadowlands isn't a safe place, but thankfully, they've got Fen, since he's been stuck there after being banished. Meanwhile, Morgan is biding her time and we the readers can only hope that between Becca, Lochlan, and the rest of the Hunt, she can be stopped. While I thought the 'war' scene was cleaver, it felt bland, and it was over in like 2.2 seonds. LOL  Not the most satisfying end but still pretty good! Twilight Siege was way better than the fist book, imo. I'm looking forward to what then next book has in store.  I CANT WAIT TO READ SHADES OF BETRAYAL! _________________________________ Shadow Play |Review Twilight Siege |Review Shades of Betrayal |Review Born of Nothing |Review Midnight's End |Review Blog | Instagram | Twitter | Tumblr | Facebook

*4 SEELIE STARS* I’m so happy I decided to give this series a second chance, because this book was everything the first one didn't deliver! Sizzling romance, strong heroine, lots of action? It was an exciting sequel and a wrapped up nicely. It was very intense and fierce. Was very happy Rebecca and Lochan got their HEA. Rebecca is strong and fierce, even without her necklace. She travels to the Shadowlands to find Fen and train. She gets a great friendship with Fen. Also, Ashley is back in the book again. Loved the connection between Rebecca and Lochan. The second book was quick paced and well accomplished. The series was wrapped up perfectly.

I suppose the relationship developed like it should have, meaning not too fast and not too slow but when it finally happens it's near the end of the book. The storyline was completely developed but not too complicated to follow, which I could appreciate. All in all, a nice short series. I'm curious about the other I really like this series! Becca's personality, she's honest, straight to the point, and super fun. While character development in the first book of the duet was good, Twilight Siege brings all of the characters that I have come to love full circle. Seeing characters come into their own really allows me to become attached to them. The way Jill Ramsower describes the characters and the realistic depiction make it incredibly easy for the reader to identify with them, and that's what makes a good book. So I really wanted to be able to read more books in this series and perhaps the author will one day do it and write more if she sees how successful and popular these books are. because even the secondary characters still have their stories to tell. The story was original. I loved this duet. 5/5 Stars

This book is a continuation of the first book in the series Shadow Play and really you have to read that one first. Although there is some explanation at the start of this one that may fill in some of the details, I don't think that you would get anywhere near as much out of it if you start with this one. In book one Rebecca discovered that she had been chosen as a child by Merlin and had a part to play in saving both our world and the fae world. Not only had she been given a necklace that had given her powers that until now she had been unaware of, but it had also been gradually changing her. Making her appearance change and more importantly, change her into a fae. Now that she is aware of this change, she must now master this power and use it to defeat the dark fae that are trying to make their way into our world. I enjoyed this book, it was perhaps even better than the first because we already have met the characters and understand a lot about their world. Rebecca was again an interesting character and she really comes into her strength (both magically and her own personal strength) in this book. We also learnt more about Lochlan and he showed himself to be worthy of her and they make a good match. Again, there were a few little things that let it down in terms of the Northern Ireland setting. They were for the most part so small that they probably wouldn't bother most people but just stood out to me. Overall though, I really enjoyed it. I will be reading the next in the series which focuses on Rebecca's friend Ashley. I'm going to have a little break first though, there isn't a cliffhanger at the end of this book, so I can have a little breather before the next.

I love that her relationship with Cat has gotten deeper, they make quite the duo as Cat is feisty and fun. I'm happy that Ramsower also brought Becca's friend Ashley over to live as well because it didn't feel the same without her there. I liked the connection between Becca and Lochlan and I enjoyed watching his walls break down a bit for her. The two of them are great together and I think they will go far. I loved the conclusion to the series and can only hope that perhaps one day, Ramsower might decide to give Ashley or Cat their own books as I'm not quite ready to let everyone go.

The use of Celtic myth was very fun, and the various settings were interesting and inventive. However, in my opinion the prose was fairly flat, and I had a difficult time entering into the story deeper than a basic level. I personally don't appreciate the swerve a lot of modern YA has taken into sexual territory, and this book is certainly no exception. The sex throughout this book felt not only unnecessary to the romantic plot line, it also came across as fairly cheap and 'harlequin romance' at times, and in my opinion devalued the characters. That being said, I did enjoy this story overall, and would be happy to hear more from Jill Ramsower in the future.

Lachlan and Rebecca together are wonderful. A five star read from an amazing writer! Here’s to keeping my fingers and toes crossed and praying that she may continue on with more stories like these!

I enjoyed the first book in the series, although it was a bit slow and was more of a setup for things to come. This book was better than the first. Rating 3/5 After that cliffhanger ending in Book 1, I was beyond excited to delve into this sequel and find out how Bec lashes out and defends Earth. With her unique powers and room for fantastical character development, I expected a lot from the author. However, this fell through for me - the plot was no longer as adventurous as the first book despite the introduction of all these new characters. I think the main problem was that by making this a duet, it was a disservice to the storyline. This second book was definitely rushed and the plot line zoomed at lightning speed never allowing me enough time to appreciate the danger of it all. And the romance wasn't very passionate either - for a fae couple, I expected more especially with how Lochlan is all broody and domineering but he was a sort of doozy for me. Disappointed in this one - it could have been so much better if it was spread out more instead of being limited to just a duet.

Twilight Siege takes you through a magical tale interweaving Arthurian legend with fae lore and the author guides you through the vulnerability of Becca and gives you a spicy romance to boot. Book two was so much better than book one. Becca is a very likable character she has her moral compass on straight and wants others to follow suit even if it means sacrificing herself for the greater good. The stakes are high, the fate of humanity is hanging on her preventing the dark fae from terrorizing Earth, and she struggles with real relationship problems both with her best friend Ashley and her romantic interest Lochlan. And when light fae require sex to refuel their magic, that can get a bit sticky for a girl that wants exclusivity. Who hasn't related to that age old problem of wanting more than what another person can give? The book is a fast read, and I enjoyed the writing a lot. Warnings, there is violence, there are lots of sexual situations, and... yes sex, (very steamy) it's how the light fae feed their magic, so lots of that. There are also the occasional swear words, but I don't feel they are overly done, so it fit well with the story.

This is an advanced copy from NetGalley...(only able to finish it today) What can I say? Except its quite boring to me. The book has a very high rating. And from reviews here, seems many people enjoy the book. But, for me, its a different case. I have read better Fae based stories than this. One reason might be that I did not read the first one. I jumped straight to the 2nd one. Plus, too much lust... which is not accompanied by romance. Loved it and left me wanting more! The plot definitely thickened in this book and I love how Becca grew and became more reliant on her own instincts. I think that is true of all of us as we acquire anything new. At first we go along with anything others will tell us but as we become more comfortable in our new talent we form our own opinions and become strong and steadfast to our beliefs. I sincerely hope there are plans to continue this storyline and this is not the last we hear of Becca.

Ugh...Two stars ... I read the first book in the series with understanding that this was the authors first book. If you have read books in the fantasy genre, books about fae, fairies, and faery then you'll be able to tell this author took pieces of other books we've all enjoyed and wrote the first two books in this series. I am going to continue this series to see if she grows in her writings or continues to be less. No emotions, just words.... is the best way I would describe this authors work s Ugh...Two stars ... I absolutely loved the way this story molded! Wow! Jill did such a great job finishing the story! I loved Becca and Lochlan! I was surprised with all hatbshe is and all she could do when she came into herself! I loved it! I also loved how she got closer to Cat. I think that the whole book flowed wonderfully I couldn’t put it down! I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves the Fae! Reviewed for Nerd Girl.

I read Twilight Siege in a day. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down! The pace of the book is fast and exciting, and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really loved Rebecca's character and of course Lochlan! The fact that the story is told in two books is great rather than have it go on and on. For anyone that likes/loves fantasy, I would highly recommend reading The Fae Games!!

I loved this story even more than the first! There was so much detail about the realms and we learned that much more about Rebecca and her new found Fae abilities. I loved how she was the first of her kind and how she defeated Morgan le fay! A truly amazing book that any fan of fantasy/fae and different realms will fall in love with! (Also loved how the adult content was snuck in with just the right amount of steamy scenes.) One of a kind!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I read the first book in this duet. This book has a bit of a better pacing then the first one, but the first one did a lot of setting the scene for the world and the background. I really like Becca and all the things that she discovers about herself. Becca is with Lochlan since she found out somethings about Ronan. This is the conclusion to the duet, but there are other books coming in the same universe. Looking forward to those.

This captivating story was fast-paced and dripping with mystery and collusion. As the plot slowly exposed the villains in this narrative, Rebecca seemed to mature and gain more self-confidence. I particularly enjoyed Lochlan and Rebecca's journey to the Shadow lands with its impressive creatures and many dangers. Overall this was a wonderful, exciting story that held my attention until the final page. Very Enjoyable!!!!

The second book in The Fae Games was really good. The story kept my interest the whole time, and that's important to me when I pick something to read. It was an awesome conclusion to the story, so I was happy with the whole thing. I definitely recommend the book to anyone that likes excitement, action, and a love story.
