Got a couple of chapters in, and couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to continue. Got a couple of chapters in, and couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to continue.

This set includes the first three books in the Children of Earthrise series. These should not be read as standalones and this set makes it easy to read them in the order written (though there are more books to this series than just these three). But there are many obstacles standing in their way...including another species who has claimed Earth as their own and don't want the humans returning. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

What a wonderfully fantastical story line. Children of Earthrise is the continuing saga of humanity's search for their homeland, Earth. After two thousand years, humans are considered pests, at the bottom of the food chain among galactic alien creatures. I trudged through these books. Unfortunately there were some interesting bits interspersed with loads and loads of repetition as though the reader couldn’t manage to keep the previous narrative in their heads. It made for a very boring read at times. Don’t think I’ll be reading any more of his books as they are really quite juvenile.

Review of: Children of Earthrise; Books 1-3 Not your typical story of sci-fi reading battle after battle to return to earth. With a little fantasy added for good measure. The concept was interesting the characters strong. Though I believe the 3 book series could have been reduced to two books.

Hard to stop reading Great story. Little off in some of the modern day references, I thought. But you couldn't help but lie the characters. Some very funny dialogue between different characters. Hard to my down once I got into the story. Hard to stop reading Great story. Little off in some of the modern day references, I thought. But you couldn't help but lie the characters. Meh Was getting into the book, was liking the story and then got to chapter 5. Could not get past the Grugs and Weegles, visions of Muppets came to my mind that spoiled the rest. Not my cup of tea, wanted something more serious.

Space It it a good series, but I much prefer his Dragon books. I will be checking his other Dragon books.

What a saga The books are for me a bit hard to put down once started. You want to know what comes next as you start to care about what happens to the characters. It took me a while to get into the first book but then I just wanted to know what happened next and ended up enjoying the experience, though they are not uplifting stories. That is the reason for 4 stars.

A decent series Unlike many authors he brings a fresh perspective to star travel and the human experience. Especially in the aliens that he introduces in this series.

Remember all those cheesy full of clichés sci-fi/action b-movies os 80's and 90's? Well this is it. You have super-villians so evil that you can't do anything else but to dislike them. Why the villians hate humans so much is beyond me since no real reason is given. And the heroes are so brave bordering to stupid... The dialogues are also as taken from bad b-movie with bad humor and even worst sentiments. But there are still some good things here like the idea itself yet it is not enough to rate Remember all those cheesy full of clichés sci-fi/action b-movies os 80's and 90's? Well this is it. Daniel Arenson’s follow-up series to Earthrise. As I continue reading books written by Daniel Arenson, I gain more and more respect for the writings by this author.
