This book was informally self-published (in printed form) in 1998 an 'Learning To See Beyond The Picture'-- The results from the planting of a seed -- a project that came to fruition in 1998. This book is for Artists, art enthusiasts, art collectors, and for those who simply appreciate unique works of art that reflect the individual uniqueness of themselves, or otherwise. This book was informally self-published (in printed form) in 1998 and purchased for $25.00 USD, signed by Georges M Pinel, who is more than just an artist, but you'd have to know him like I do to know what I mean. It was a collaborative effort of Georges M Pinel and Benjamin A Hoga, which was put together to provide Georges M Pinel's narrative; his reflections on twenty-eight original works of art. A few years after its initial release, and the release of the limited edition series of artworks mentioned, life happened and everything faded to the back burner, yet has now returned, alive and well. Georges' intention, in part, as I describe it, was to inspire and broaden the vision of those who see, those who create, those who are open and able to recognize the value, in depth, of what's before us right now, in an artistic sense and in a world sense -- where we live. The works of art were for those who wanted something unique, something that would reflect one's own uniqueness. Benjamin, having known Georges since 1985, was marveled by Georges' expressions, as exhibited in everything he described, touched and created. The things described; the scene, the stone, the branch of a tree, the sound of the wind. Those things he touched; the arrangement of a leaf of a tree, the shells from the beach, the archaeological finds he arranged and presented, and the things he created; foods he prepared, how they were presented, their flavor -- how everything affected the ambiance of the room; space and energy. The uniqueness of Georges' sensitivities exuded humility and childlike innocence -- authenticity through and through. Please note: The eBook is incomplete at this time (on the last page) and in the midst of being updated with corrections.
