Read the book to practice my reading in Hangeul. This isn’t an easy one to begin with. 😅 Also, there’s one wrong translation in the book. Dad (아빠) was translated as mom (엄마).

I wasn't looking for a masterpiece, that's for sure. I was just looking for an easy-to-read book in Norwegian to practice the language and slowly expand my vocabulary, so a book aimed at very young children was the obvious choice. Thing is... there is no point in this story. No progress towards something, no moral. Nothing. Which I guess is fine considering my goal in the first place, but I probably could've found pretty much the same content on Google. This would've been a great project, if only I wasn't looking for a masterpiece, that's for sure. This is a diverse literature book. Sleep Tight, Little Wolf is very interesting book. It tells the story of Tim, who is unable to fall asleep without his wolf. He then sets out on a journey to find it. It is a very heartwarming book about friendship. The illustrations are also very well done. I chose this book because a parent and child can both read it. This book does fit into diverse literature criteria. First, along with being written in English it is also written in Bengali. This is unique bec This is a diverse literature book. This book does fit into diverse literature criteria. First, along with being written in English it is also written in Bengali. This is unique because there are not a lot of books written in Bengali. Second, it exposes children to other languages coming from other cultures. Therefore, it gives children a sense of cultural awareness. I'm sure there are few other criteria this book follows, but these are just the two main points I thought were worth mentioning.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I was interested in this book because it comes as a bilingual format in a huge variety of languages. But, the story is pretty disappointing. Tim can’t sleep so he goes outside to the playground to get his toy. Other neighborhood kids do too, then their parents come and get them and put them back to bed. It’s a kid’s book, so you can’t expect some kind of complex story structure, but there is literally nothing going on in this book. It’s like they had a list of required words (“mom”, “dad”, “cat”, “doll”) and built the shortest story they could around that random list. I read the story in four languages. The translations are all good, but the core story is just not at all interesting. The pictures are ok.

Simply loved this book Beautiful illustrations. Exalent to be able to find a Bilingual book in german and Afrikaans. I wish the audio books were available at Audable . And that the book was accessible on my kindle cloud reader though

An interesting concept in helping people learn new languages and/or one as a second language. The story was illustrated really nice and just fun in that none of the children could go to sleep not knowing where something/or other was at and back in their own possession!

Most of this book is empty content. Most of this is empty content. Bought for my wife but half the pages are ads for other stuff. .

In an effort to improve my Norwegian. I read this. Danish and Norwegian are very similar. So... It helps. Besides, it is a sweet story.

Compared to the other children's book I read, The Blue Sky, this is definitely more aimed at younger readers (maybe even more parents reading the first books with their children). The story itself isn't really that exciting, it's essentially what's written on the tin, but it's sweet. I can imagine this being a nice book for kids (or, in my case, teenagers with the spirit of toddlers) to be introduced to a new language!
