I love stories about robberies, so this was right up my alley. I found myself really enjoying this quick read and wishing for more of a story. This has a nice format they could make for a good 200 page story or longer.  The characters were cool. I haven't ever read about an elf before and I found myself liking Jax as a main character. She was outspoken and really funny. She was easy to like and it's a shame that this was the end of her story. I thoroughly enjoyed the world that this was set in. There are many mystical species that existed, but sadly there are only a few species that weren't important to the story. The myriad of species opened this book with a world of possibilities and directions the story could've gone with. I don't feel that the story the field the potential that it opened up with in the beginning.  The pacing was a little too fast, there could've been a lot added to the story to make it chunkier, but also to work on more character development. The downfall of short stories is that sometimes you don't get enough. It felt like an episode when I really wanted a movie. Overall it was really well done, but I would like to see Jax in a returning story.

The characters albeit there wasn't much depth to them I did grow to like the more the story went on. An elf, a human and a vampire what a combination but the thing is you expect calamity and drama and death between them, there wasn't they shared a kindship. The elf Jax which is a strange name in itself, seemed quite flitty, fast fingered and actually pretty smart mouthed. From the authors description of her all I got was that she was beautiful tall and had blue hair, which isn't much depth for a characters description still it didn't dampen my feelings towards her. The human, Mikey well for some unknown reason was best friends with the elf, he was smart, quick thinker and his special talent was researching and planning. There wasn't much else about him except he owned a beat up old car. The vampire, Javier. Wasn't your typical fierce and feeding vampire, seemed strong and intimidating at the beginning but as I read more about him I felt he was calculating and well reserved rather than plotting and not saying that in a bad way and showing his emotion in sorts towards Jax was relatively sweet. Overall this was a short book with an out there storyline that I think the author really done well with just with a few characters that were more 2d than 3D it was a shame but it wouldn't put me off reading anything by this author at a later date.

Cute This is a cute story. The characters are likeable. Being a short story it was well done although, if Ms. Winter ever chooses, there is lots of room for further development. Quick read and definitely fun

The author has created a varied supernatural world that I enjoyed reading about. The main character was fun and I love that she was a thief. I would recommend it.
