Final book in the trilogy has the cheerleaders going to a cheerleader championship. Of course, things go wrong and one of them winds up in the hospital. I don't know what the synopsis is going on about with that mention of a note pinned to a dead cheerleader. That never happens here! In any case, the cheerleaders must band together to find out the true identity of the sociopath, who may have been behind everything, right from the start. That never happens here! In any case, the cheerleaders must band together to find out the true identity of the sociopath, who may have been behind everything, right from the start. Fast-paced and enjoyable, but not as good as the second book. The point of view comes from both Sydney Hargreaves and Winter Addams, and to be honest, they were practically interchangeable. I sometimes got lost as to who was who, a problem I didn't have in the previous two books. Dakota is still a dramatic, immature brat. The motive behind everything is disappointing. (view spoiler)[They did it over a boy. But I guess that's in keeping with the book's 90s vibe. (hide spoiler)] One funny thing I did notice is that R.L. Stine's original "Cheerleaders" trilogy featured the characters going to a cheerleading competition. I was able to read all three books in one day. Not much else to do in self-isolation! This trilogy is a good bet if you've exhausted your stash of actual 90s YA horror and looking for a modern day alternative. Nothing deep, but some cheap, easy thrills across all three books. The second book is definitely the best.

Being a longtime fan of Carissa Lynch, I always get super excited whenever her new book hits the shelves because I know that she’ll take me on a wild ride of suspense, mind games and my fruitless attempts to figure out who the murderer is. “Killer Moves,” a third book in the “Horror High” series, was exactly what I was so anxiously waiting for, and even more. The mood and atmosphere in this one is even darker and more ominous, and the intrigue is masterfully built up, until it reaches its boiling point in the final scene where the killer finally reveals…themselves (I’m not going to spoil you the ending, so I’ll just admit that I suspected both boys and girls!). The Harrow – or Horror – High (as the name for this high school is very well deserved by now) cheerleading team is off to the cheerleading competitions, but that’s where the Sociopath strikes again, threatening the team with more bloodshed if they keep pursuing the championship. Throw in the mix a rival school’s team, more suspicions that fall onto yesterday’s friends, two girls fighting for a boy’s attention, and you have yourself a perfect thriller that you won’t be able to put down. I’d love to give ten stars to this brilliant conclusion of the “Horror High” series, and I already can’t wait for a new thrilling ride from the talented Ms. Lynch. Amazing, as always!

Fabulous! This was a fantastic end to the series! questions were answered for me that I didn't even know I had! This is one of those books I can't say much about because I don't want to spoil it! Carissa is one of my favorite authors and this book exemplifies why. Fabulous! This was a fantastic end to the series! questions were answered for me that I didn't even know I had! Like the preceding books in Carissa Ann Lynch's Horror High book series, Killer Moves amps up the tension with its mystery and intrigue, leading to a shocking reveal. The characters are well developed, relatable, and I enjoyed the first person point of view, which switched seamlessly between characters. I highly recommend this series, and I suggest you read the installments in order.

What I find really interesting about Carissa Lynch's Horror High Series is the nostalgic throwback to those classic YA horror novels I read waaaaaaay back in the day, those R.L Stein "the call is coming from inside the house" trope novelisations. She has captured the classic YA horror vibe and made it entirely her own. Something definitely worth considering for another fan of YA horror fiction. Killer moves is book 3 in Carissa Ann Lynchs Horror High series. The sociopath is still on the loose and steps up the torment and terror once again. So much is happening in this series and this instalment is no different. Carissa doesn't hold back when it comes to her characters wellbeing either and not everyone gets through unscathed. It's a very well put together and well written YA horror series and would recommend it to almost everyone. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Wow author Carissa Lynch gives us the final to the Horror high trilogy with Killer Moves. In this book we see from three perspectives one of them is the killer but I won't give away who she is all I will say that she planted a bomb at a competition which resulted in the rest of her squad getting hurt. Also we see that horror high is close to being shut down thanks to the killer but near the end a surprising turn happens and everything is laid out on the table. Seldom is a third book in a series better than the first; however, author Lynch somehow, in her own indomitable way, manages to buck the trend and turn the form book firmly on its head. It is the finale of a series, and that has to be taken in as well, which I shall do. It is the finale of a series, and that has to be taken in as well, which I shall do. Having been delivered a tasty red herring at the end of the first book, I read the second, which appeared to deliver a conclusion, yet sufficient doubt—via another one of those fla-voursome crimson fishes—was placed for me to hope that a third book would appear, which thankfully it did, and did so in style. Throughout the series I got to know the characters well, and as to whom the sociopath could be was a read head scratcher. In Killer Moves, some of the basketball players become more prominent, and they were within my sights as suspects, along with the wheelchair-bound coach. Beautifully, suspects are rife, and the reader is drawn further into the plot via a dual narrative—never an easy thing to pull off, yet it is, brilliantly—with different characters than used previously. Killer Moves is the ultimate in series finales, and gets one into the frightened minds of frightened teenage cheerleading girls, experiencing their fears in general and distrust of one another, and it’s done in an innocent and insightful way. When I say that I recommend this book highly, I am not confining it to this one book, but to the series in general. A good, nay, exemplary series requires an outstanding finale, and that is precisely what author Lynch has done. Easily five stars!

This is a great wrap up to an amazing series. This author always keeps me on my toes- this is the 6th book of hers I've read- and Killer Moves was no exception. I was enthralled, and couldn't put it down until I reached the end. And the end was amazing! I had no idea....never even crossed my mind to suspect... I love it when I can find books that keep me guessing and Carissa Ann Lynch never disappoints. Great book, great series. 5 stars. This is a great wrap up to an amazing series.
