I Don't Think So Of course, the title of this book is preposterous. Perhaps one can learn the syntax in one day. But to learn Java well, one would also need to understand all the libraries (not to mention all the relevant data structures and algorithms). Nevertheless, I found this to be one of the best Java tutorial textbooks--hence my five stars. Of course, that means I've read several other Java tutorials and am not a raw beginner. So I found it useful as a refresher tutorial. But to find out w I Don't Think So Of course, the title of this book is preposterous. Perhaps one can learn the syntax in one day. I suspect that he/she would be less impressed than I was.

Helped in revising Java This book follows natural technical grammar and sentences are amazingly predictable with the official documentation on Java. Learning Java has always been fun. Author has not influenced technical aspects of the language and has kept very simple for folks like us to read this book in a breeze. Hats off.

Good general info but you can only learn so much in a day. Would have liked more on using Netbeans. I had to watch other videos on how to use Netbeans. Having watched other videos the books was not as helpful.

One month book Good info. I stumbled over how to use the editor NetBeans. This seems a good review book, but moves way too fast for a non-programmer.

This book is just fine, there's nothing to really say about it. you should read this book under 2 circumstances. Either you already have work with another language and your capable writing programs with it, then this book is a short summary of what you have to learn for java's case or you just finished a java course and you want to have a little summary on what you've learned. Else you definitely shouldn't read this book. Best Refresher I wanted to review my Java basics, but including the basics of advanced topics such as inheritance and polymorphism, for an interview. I haven't worked with Java in 3 years. This was such a life saver!
