Listened to the audiobook. The book started out good and the concept is really interesting. What if the comic character you have created becomes real and all you have ever created are villains? Who is going to save the day? You are!! The book is fun for about the first 50% but then its starts going downhill. The story is dragged about and should have been cut short. That being said the narrator of the audiobook was really good and made the experience enjoyable.

Where the previous book in the Horrorland series was more aimed at girls, Dr Maniac VS Robby Schwartz will satisfy the boy-audience of the series. Robby draws comics featuring villains, and reality in this book is often twisted when you realise we were actually inside Robby's comics. I got a bit annoyed with this, and the moment something actually started to happen to Robby I didn't believe this time it was for real. Dr Maniac VS Robby Schwartz was a bit over the top in my opinion. This book was okay, but I am confused about how this fits into the Goosebumps series. Most of the book you were just following Robby's comics. Everything you read ended up being just his comic strips. Even his brother and sister were apart of the strip. The only part that made it was when he got stuck in the video game in Horrorland. I did it. This is my R. L. Stine's book of 2020 that I read for the readathon. It was absolutely 100% predictable and lame and ridiculous but I had soooo much because I couldn't stop thinking about reading and Devouring fear street books when I was a kid. So yeah all the stars for that and making me childhood better and adventurous ❣️ I did it. This is my R. L. Stine's book of 2020 that I read for the readathon. 2.5 rounded to 3 The boys weren't too excited with this one. Initially they liked Dr. Maniac but once Robby's brother was taken by Dr. Maniac, they weren't thrilled with it. We kept on reading but they couldn't wait for it to end. I did like the story within a story aspect but it was not one of my favorite Goosebumps. 2.5 rounded to 3 The boys weren't too excited with this one. I think that Goosebumps Horrorland Robby Schwartz vs. Dr. Maniac is a very good book because it has three parts to the story.A boy named Robby Schwartz was going camping with his family and when they got off his mom told him to go and get firewood but when he looked back he saw Dr. Maniac an eviel comic book character. Then Dr. Maniac told Robby to eat the dead squirrel he found and killed then his mom told him to stop using his laptop but the story was from his comic strip the real time Robby di I think that Goosebumps Horrorland Robby Schwartz vs. Dr. Maniac is a very good book because it has three parts to the story.A boy named Robby Schwartz was going camping with his family and when they got off his mom told him to go and get firewood but when he looked back he saw Dr. Maniac an eviel comic book character. Then Dr. Maniac told Robby to eat the dead squirrel he found and killed then his mom told him to stop using his laptop but the story was from his comic strip the real time Robby did the same thing but when he looked back no Dr. Maniac only his brother but then he saw a piece of leopard skin he thought that was Dr. Maniac was there. Then he helped his dad setup the tent and they went to bed when Robby woke up he looked outside and saw Dr. Maniac and with the dead squirrel and Dr. Maniac took Robby deep in the woods. In the middle of the story Robby then realizes that his friend Brooke is also missing so he went back to the T.V. I think this book is a interesting book. It is fun to read that Robby is the hero and his brother is the villain with his friend brook. I have been reading Goosebumps books for well over 2 years now. I think R.L.Stine is one of the best anthers so I had to read this book,Goosebumps HorrorLand Dr. Maniac vs. Robby Schwartz. This is one of my favorites because the main character and I have one HUGE thing in common. Robby LOVES to make comic books. He writes one with him having a brother and sister. I didn't enjoy reading this one at all. The plot was boring and predictable, non of the characters were likable and the villain was weak. The Horrorland story was okay, but nothing as good as the ones in the previous books. After reading the others in this series, this was the worse one and I would have preferred it to not have been included altogether. *FUN AND EXCITING!* - - - - - R.L. Stine's Dr. Maniac and Robert Schwartz was amusingly written! I am a fan of Stine and his works. I loved Goosebumps, every book of it. Well this is the first book i ever read from Gossebumps series. I liked it, was pretty cool and keep me on going til i reached the end. I thought that something was going on since everyone was always joking around and well it turned onto a very weird scenary... I do like the ending and the book itself, i don't love it, but it for sure was a good choice to begin ✌ Well this is the first book i ever read from Gossebumps series. Well, I kinda admit, it was a really good book. On the other hand, it was confusing, but in a good way. IT was like, "oh. Uh, that was my new comic," over and over again. That's the bad part. It was a really good book though. Has lots of challenges. Good luck! Well, I kinda admit, it was a really good book. On the other hand, it was confusing, but in a good way. IT was like, "oh. Book 5. This was a definite change of pace and genre. It has nice moments and both parts of the story have nice twists. Part one was a good comic book tale. Part two in HorrorLand brought back earlier characters and added new ones. I have no idea yet where the HorrorLand story is going.

Dr. Maniac vs. Robby Schwartz is the first story in the HorrorLand series that is not based on a character from the Original Goosebumps. So we go into the book with no clear idea of what is going to happen. What we get is similar to Attack of the Mutant, a really good book from the original series (and arguably the best episode from the Goosebumps television series). In both books, comic book characters come to life in the real world. Robby Schwartz is a young kid who loves to write comic books. In both books, comic book characters come to life in the real world. Robby Schwartz is a young kid who loves to write comic books. His favorite characters are Dr. Maniac, Purple Rage, and the Scarlet Starlet; all super villains because, as Robby says, they are more interesting. The book starts with on a camping trip. Some scary things happen but they turn out to just be short comics Robby is writing. After a few fake outs, the action begins. That is an aspect that makes this book really good. Many Goosebumps stories have a lot of build up and cliffhangers, but the real action is pushed to the end of the book. Not here. By chapter six, Robby's brother has been kidnapped by Dr. Maniac. A little later, his friend Brooke is kidnapped as well. You see, Dr. Maniac has a crazy idea. He is going to kidnap all of the kids in town and force them to put on a 24/7 ice skating exhibition which will make him a ton of money. It's quite dark for a Goosebumps book. Kidnapping and torturing children? Not exactly a plot we often see. But it works well. It's funny, has some laughs, and has some fun twists. The twist towards the end is actually REALLY good and unexpected. The previous books in the series already had established plots so they focused a lot on creating a more well rounded picture of the villains. Some have worked, some haven't. But with a brand new story, R.L. Stine can take it in a new direction and he did a really good job. 1. Revenge of the Living Dummy 2. Creep from the Deep 3. Dr. Maniac vs. Robby Schwartz 4. Monster Blood for Breakfast 5. The Scream of the Haunted Mask

So I'm getting through these Goosebumps Horrorland books and they really haven't been impressing me at all... This one just didn't connect with me at all, mainly because the main character, Robbie Schwartz, was unreliable right from the start so I kind of knew what was going to happen towards the end of the story. As for the Horroland story at the end, I am interested in where this story is going and I'm worried there's going to be like 30+ characters by the very end, but it's definitely the best part of these Goosebumps Horrorland stories so far, but again this wasn't all that great, but Slappy appeared which is always a Goosebumps classic.

This one was hee-layreeus! Robby Schwartz likes to create his own comics, and he's pretty good at it. Dr. Maniac is one of his main villains. Somehow, Robby gets sucked into a terror of his own creation, and he has to escape his own nemesis. With the help of the Purple Rage, he is swept through an adventure right off the pages of a graphic novel. This one was hee-layreeus! I enjoyed this book a lot. There is only one thing that made it hard to read. The first time what was happening was a comic book, I was confused, but surprised. But then, it kept changing, and changing, and changing, and changing. It started to get really annoying. Then something happened that could be reality, but the story changed too much to tell. I think that these changes also made too much characters. This made it so that in "reality", I enjoyed this book a lot. There is only one thing that made it hard to read. In this Goosebumps tale, Robby's very own comic book creation, the evil villain Dr. Maniac... comes to life! With a maniacal plan to take over the whole town. Note: The only thing that actually creeped me out a bit was a scene that involves a rotting, dead squirrel. Didn't like that visual at all. This book had a cool concept. But it was SHIT. The first half is really good while the other makes me want to take Stine hostage. This is easily one of the worst books in the Horrorland series. I’d stay away from this one. One saving Grace was the Horrorland section it was really good. This book is like when your eating pizza and the first couple of slices are tasty while the rest suck. 1/5

A poor attempt at the what is real and what is imagination story. Robby loves to draw. But then his evil characters start coming alive and causing mayhem. Or is that not the whole story? Is there more to his brother and sister than meets the eye?
