This book is every bit as good as the others in this excellent series. I highly recommend reading this series in order. I now know that this book is not about a female Domme and a male sub. Like all the men we've encountered in the series, Jesse is a Dom. His life is on hold when he meets Lucy at Declan's place. The attraction between them is so strong, that he's willing to submit to her so they can have a session together. The erotic scenes were beyond smoking hot, yet heartwarming at the same time; Jesse was willing to suppress his Dom tendencies for Lucy and she understood what he was doing for her. The setting for most of the story is from the previous book and I loved the familiarity of it. I especially liked the scenes in which events occurred that I already knew about, but from a different perspective. The plot was masterfully done, with all the pieces fitting flawlessly together and things that shouldn't make sense working perfectly. The heart of the story, however, were the highly emotional issues and inner conflict that both Lucy and Jesse had to deal with. The magic of the healing power of their relationship put this book over the top.

Funny thing is that the worst thing to happen to Jesse, becomes the best thing for him. How to reconcile the duplicity of that statement brings him to his knees, literally. A proud, seasoned Dominant, Jesse arrives at Mullardoch Manor in Inverness, Scotland. His good mate, Declan McDougal invites him to stay with him and his fiancee, Zoey while he attempts to bring order to his life since the accident. It doesn't hurt that below the manor house is the exquisite Dungeon Fantasy Club. Perhaps a little kinky therapy with a hot subbie is just what the doctor ordered. Nothing feels the same, try as he might, he just can't get into the swing of things. (No pun intended :)) Meanwhile, Zoey Mills, Declan's submissive and bride to be, is in deep turmoil. Her kid sister, Ophelia isn't talking to her, but her bff, Lucy Martin has decided to come to Scotland and haul her back to California. Upon arriving at Mullardoch Manor, she is convinced her friend, Zoey is where she needs to be. All fears allayed, she joins in some of the wedding preparations, and dabbles in the Dungeon Fantasy Club. As a Domme, she looks to find a sub to spend her time with and meets Jesse. Heat surrounds them as they trade banter at the bar. He wants her, she wants him, but both being Dominants is a recipe for disaster. Like two poles of a magnet that should never mesh, they size one another up. Who will submit? It's crazy, and yet...so enticing. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the passion and genuine journey of two wounded people who together make one complete soul moved me.

Jesse and Lucy the Doms Jesse is a Dom, he meets Lucy, a Domme in the Dungeon Fantasy Club. Jesse feels something he hasn't felt since his accident on the racetrack, desire. Lucy feels an attraction to Jesse but she is a Domme and hasn't got a submissive bone in her body, this could never work. They agree to give a session together a try and Jesse learns that the dynamics of surrender are rewarding and helped him learn to control or at least forget about his sad state in life. I loved how Lucy told him he could not orgasm unless she gave him permission, that is a go to control issue male dominants use on their female subs, it was very rewarding to see a man have to learn control! Lucy is only visiting Scotland to try and get her friend Zoey to go back ito the states with her, so her time there is limited. Jesse is there to see his old friend Declan who is to marry Zoey. There are complications of course, besides a Dom and a Domme trying to make things work between them, there is a lawsuit against Jesse for the accident he caused and Lucy has some old and strong reasons why she must have control. The whole iDomme/Dom thing had to be resolved and I totally enjoyed the surrender of Jesse and the thoughtful consideration Lucy had for her sub/dom partner. I was really worried about reading a Domme book where the female dominates the male but Anya Summers made it work for me and I can see myself reading more on the subject. In the end this book deserves more than 5 stars if I could give them!!!

Normally, I don't read books about Dommes, much preferring the male version. Before you pass over this book because you want to read about a Dominant man and submissive woman, take a closer look. The story centers around a race car driver who has an accident, severely injuring another driver. He also happens to be a Dom, but has lost his mojo since the accident. Enter one feisty Domme redhead. You would think this relationship a doomed Dommes/Dom couple, right? Not necessarily. Enter one feisty Domme redhead. You would think this relationship a doomed Dommes/Dom couple, right? Not necessarily. What happens if one of the Doms switches? It's actually a story about being stronger than you think. This is true for both of the Dominants in this story but each is unique in what lessons they each learn and how their own conflicts are resolved. Obviously, this is yet another wonderful example of Anya Summers' stellar writing. She's created a wonderful series of books, with strong characters in situations beyond the obvious D/s dynamic. Each book is standalone with no HEA and no cliffhanger. The characters appear throughout the series, and each of the couples have their own book devoted to their story. It's a lot of fun when one particular scene involves characters from more than one book. You get the opportunity to read it from multiple perspectives! Think of it as a drinking game where you take a drink every time you recognize a character from another book. I highly recommend this book, this series and this author to all readers enjoying BDSM romance stories. Each book is a hot, sexy romp into the lifestyle with interesting stories that highlight the kink without judgment.

Not great I'm giving this book points for at least not being the usual where the Domme submits to the Dom because that is what the world thinks is the "natural" order of things. But that's really all I can give points for. I didn't believe they'd fallen in love. Their every interaction was sexual. They had not one playful, fun interaction where they got to know about each other or registered shared interests. Then to create drama, the author pulled a Veronica from out of nowhere. Never previously seen or mentioned, she suddenly turns up in Scotland and has access to Jesse's room (because apparently being a guest at DFC the dungeon also means you also live in Declan's home? Instead of a hotel?) She's a total stereotype. Now that Jesse no longer needs her for prescriptions or sex, she's suddenly evil and petty and to blame for his mistakes and he can't figure out what he saw in her...typical. Add to that her bond villain dialogue of "I'm sorry you had to see him bedding me." Because all modern women use words like "bedding." It was just a halfhearted attempt at creating characters with depth. Both Jesse and Lucy end with a lame discussion about who will dominate who based on who needs it more. I like D/s books that take the dominance outside of the bedroom. This was not that. There are barely any SCENES outside of a bedroom or DFC let alone anything else. Didn't like this book at all.

Lucy has her reasons for choosing the role of a Domme, and she's not going to submit to any man, ever. How these two work out their differences and find common ground makes for a beautiful love story with more heat than a raging forest fire! They each learn important truths about themselves and their desire for control, as they develop the trust necessary to hand over that control in order to get what they need from each other. This story really delves into the Dom/sub roles, who really has control, and when is it beneficial to see things from the other person's point of view. The author gets right to the heart of the matter, and does it so well that this book is utterly captivating and a non-stop read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Watching Lucy and Jesse figure out how to make their romance work around both of their needs was very touching. It wasn't just the physical needs, but also the emotional ones, that made this story so beautiful. This story took turns that I wasn't expecting and ended in a beautiful HEA that made my heart sigh with pleasure. I am so glad that I didn't let the fact that it is a Domme turn me away from this wonderful roller-coaster of a story!

The heat between these two is blazing hot and the emotional connection is swoon-worthy.💞🔥💦

I absolutely love how this is intertwined with the first 3 books! I love that I got Lucy’s story finally!! Her as a Domme didn’t surprise just because of how she commanded and demanded respect in the previous stories when mentioned. I fell in love with her here tho! I am so excited she opened up and let down her walls. I think Jesse’s ride was crazy. I am glad he survived the accident but am sad to see that his stupid choices cost him his career and almost cost him Lucy! Loved it! Two people you would never expect to work. A Dom and a Domme, who will submit. Miss Summers has done a good job with these two, so far my favourite couple in the series. Lucy has come all the way to try and talk her friend Zoey into coming back home, however fate has a way of changing plans and after meeting Jesse, it seems that there may be a reason for everything after all. Lucy is Zoey’s best friend and she flies to Scotland to put some sense into her friend’s head. However, she sees her friend with Declan, she knows it is a lost battle. Jesse is a Formula One racer who had an accident under the influence of some painkillers and as a result of it, he got a partner disabled for life. This is my favourite book by Anya Summers so far. I just loved this book it is the fourth book in the series and they just keep getting better and better, This is Jesse and Lucy's story they both have trauma in their pasts and are struggling with it for Lucy it was physical and sexual abuse as a child and for Jesse it is an addiction to painkillers that left someone else hurt and may cost him his racing career. These two had tons of chemistry and were highly attracted to each other but what will happen when a Domme and a Dom come together which I just loved this book it is the fourth book in the series and they just keep getting better and better, This is Jesse and Lucy's story they both have trauma in their pasts and are struggling with it for Lucy it was physical and sexual abuse as a child and for Jesse it is an addiction to painkillers that left someone else hurt and may cost him his racing career. These two had tons of chemistry and were highly attracted to each other but what will happen when a Domme and a Dom come together which one will submit?A fantastic read I just loved it

This book had everything I've come to expect from this series. There's plenty of steamy scenes and two people who had some very real things to work through before being together was going to work. It was a very different take on having a Domme and a Dom together. I really liked how the author made it work out for these two. I liked that both had things they were working through and that in the end they both helped the other work through them. Overall, a very enjoyable way to spend my afternoon! Finding a balance... What happens when a Dom and a Domme are attracted to each other? Will one submit to the other? Will they be able to find a balance that leads to a HEA? These are all questions Lucy and Jesse must answer. These two had wonderful chemistry. There are issues in both their pasts that could be potential landmines on their road to romance. How will they avoid them? All I have to say is that this was a wonderful addition to the "Dungeon Fantasy Club". I received a free copy of this b Finding a balance... I’m in the process of reading all of the Dungeon Fantasy Club books and really thought this might be my least favorite.......I was so wrong. Jesse and Lucy’s story was so surprising, intense at times, and always smoldering, simmering chemistry between these 2 Doms!! These two characters are really well written and so interesting, the book is a fast page turner. One of mt favorites of the series. On to book 5.......... I haven’t read that many F/m books, but I do enjoy them. there is a different dynamic in the relationship. Even more because Jesse os normally a Dom. Both Jesse and Lucy carry scars. one from childhood and the other from a crash. Those scars have had a great impact on their lives and relationship. When they start their relationship things changes and each is confronted with feelings and emotions as never before. And the scenes of them together were very steamy.

The hot and steamy story of Jesse and Lucy. They both hide pain and suffering that makes you sad for each of them, although there are parts which make you smile. One particular scene made me laugh out loud. Anyone who has seen the film 'Deadpool' will know what I mean, as soon as they read that part of the book.
