   The book is needlessly dense, and I say that because I have seen much more difficult subject matter presented in much more edifying ways. The author makes use of minimally useful examples to clarify his exhaustive lists of blandly defined topics. I never once finished a chapter and felt enlightened, only weighed down by the heady formulas, ridiculous charts, and eye-shriveling boredom of the author's approach. While I'm sure the break-neck pace of the course didn't help with my appreciation here, The book is needlessly dense, and I say that because I have seen much more difficult subject matter presented in much more edifying ways. While I'm sure the break-neck pace of the course didn't help with my appreciation here, I can say confidently that this book will go down as one of the most miserable experiences of my reading, studying life. That's not to say that the book wouldn't serve as a great resource, or that it isn't a solid and thorough tour of the topic, because it is. But please... find someone with a little pizzazz for the next edition and give it some life!
