As a big Wes Anderson fan I was excited to win this in a Goodreads giveaway and it didn't disappoint. I loved the different renderings and interpretations of a wide variety of subject matter from Anderson's movies. People seem to either love or hate the films of Wes Anderson. I firmly stand my ground on the side of love so I was very curious about this book when it came across my “recommendations” feed. This arrived in the mail today and I immediately plopped down on the floor to browse through it, not once, but twice not including some pieces I gawked endlessly at! That’s what this project is; a gigantic collection of fan artwork of all varieties inspired by the works of Wes Anderson. These are my people! My face at this very moment is aching from all the laughter and smiles I had while going through this wonderful collection. Anderson wrote the foreword to this collection that I found to be very humorous and extremely enjoyable. So much so that I read it about 5 times before actually going through the book. I’m very inspired to go on an overnight drunk, Steve Zissou style, and just have a Wes Anderson marathon. Thank you to Spoke Art Gallery for coming up with this idea and choosing to make a book for all of us who couldn’t make it the actual “Bad Dads” exhibitions!
