This book was great because it was a way to impress in a humorous manner the importance of keeping their room clean. The six year old enjoyed the book and was very excited to find that when you purchase the eBook you gain access to a free video book. With funny voices and active pictures it brought the book to life. So she got to hear the same story twice. The bunnies were cute and were willing to try to do the right thing.

The author targets this book for children ages three to seven. Simple plot centers on three bunny brothers and how they spend a Saturday morning. Their mom tells them she will be visiting granny; they will be staying home with dad. Then she gives them a list of suggestions as to how to spend the day, asking only that they clean their room before she returns. She elicits a promise to comply, and leaves a special dessert for them. When Jimmy goes to the room and cannot find his basketball, he cannot find it. What do the boys decide to do? Will they get their room cleaned up in time? Although the lesson of responsibility is a good one, the plot is fairly predictable. The text font and size of illustrations are rather small for younger children. I could not enlarge it on my kindle HD fire. Recommended as a bedtime story or read aloud, particularly for parents of children who don't enjoy cleaning up.

Great lesson for kids and well written This was a very well written story that was interesting for both kids and adults alike. I particularly liked the tone it was written in...it wasn't overly childish in its dialogue or written in a chastising manner. Nice little story with a sweet ending.

It is a lovely story. This lovely story has cute images and was a fair length. There is a free story download offered inside. Unfortunately, the story is not written well. It's in need of a thorough edit.

It's a sunny Saturday morning and three bunny brothers want to sleep in. Their mother is going out so their father will be watching them. She reminds them of the chores they need to do before they can play. She also tells them that if they play in their room then they need to put everything back in it's place once they are done. But will the three bunny brothers listen to her? I Love To Keep My Room Clean is a cute little book that reminds youngsters the importance of picking up after themselves. Why I need to live to keep my room clean? Read this ! What a delightful illustrative ebook to help get the point across to kids of why they need to keep their room(s) clean daily. I recommend this ebook especially for kids ages 3-7 but perhaps also any kids older than this age range who may need to get this idea across well. For these reasons, this is why I felt the ebook needs five stars! I received this ebook free and here now is my review for it in return. Great work Shelley! By Angela

i love to keep my room clean i wanted this book to help teach my kids how to help clean around the house. The rabbits in the book had to learn to have fun and still clean up behind themselves. My kids need to learn the same thing. I thought the book was cute. The graphics were adorable and it taught a lesson.

Happy Monday everyone! Today’s book review is a suggestion that came from a teacher for my son. This is a recommendation she gave me, and I wanted to see how it was. Today’s book review is a suggestion that came from a teacher for my son. This is a recommendation she gave me, and I wanted to see how it was. So, watch out for the train set, take care of your mess and be sure you hug your mommy. It’s time for a review of the children’s book “I Love to Keep My Room Clean” by Shelley Admont. Opinion My son is autistic, and any opportunity I have to find something we can bond over that will help him expand his horizons is a good thing for me. Today, this book has helped. My son loves to be a big helper. He especially loves to help when he thinks it’s his idea. If you have a kid like that, this book may be the best kind of way to get them to do something on their terms. I picked it up on Kindle Unlimited, and on the e-copy, it is very kid friendly. More on that shortly. My first impressions on the book, it was a lot more in-depth than an ordinary children’s book given the age range. I like that about it. It read quickly, had great drawings, and there is a video attachment on the e-copy that my son enjoyed. Let’s go into a critique, and for this one, we are going to the “Story Structure, Foundation, and Presentation” portion of my scoring. The only one I have is an e-reader issue where the pictures can sometimes make the words stretch or fall strangely on the page. Now, I see illustrations on e-readers all the time. The books that do this the best put the picture on its page and make sure it isn’t in the paragraph path of the rest of the book. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen here. If you change the fonts and such, it can cause issues to how it looks. It also can be confusing to little ones like my son, who didn’t understand why the page looked weird when he flipped it on the picture, and there was only one word on the next page. Next is his critique. “What did you not like about the book” is what I asked him. “The train is broken! His daddy bunny is sad because it broke and they are sad too” was his response. So there you go everyone, my son gives spoilers with his critiques. Thank you for your understanding though, he was very adamant that I inform the world of how sad the daddy bunny was. Let’s go into what both my son and I loved about “I love to keep my room clean,” and I” ll start with him. I asked him, “What do you like about the book?” He said, “Mommy bunny brought cookies! Can we have cookies?” Once again, spoiler city, but he found that a big deal. I can concur, can we have cookies? Can we please? Here is what I loved about “I Love to Keep My Room Clean." Mainly, the step by step explanation to a child of what it looks like when you aren’t cleaning as you go is huge. To see the conflict that can come not only explains to a kid what it looks like but offers a teachable moment to the parent to help the child remember a similar situation. My son had one. "Remember when you lost your Spiderman mask because you stepped on it when it was under your blanket?" was the connection for my son to remember this can happen to anyone once you have that piece, the next part of the book transitions how to fix the problem, and why it’s crucial to maintain cleaning your room. If you have a child that needs the “Why do I need to do this” then this is the book for you. The book also promotes a kind of conversation. Though my son is brilliant, he stared at me, and we were able to communicate for a moment non-verbally. But in that stare with wide shining eyes, and a gleam of hope, I was able to glean from him, “Okay mom, you are right. I am so tired of broken toys when I run around in my room. What do I do to fix it?” that gets covered as well. I love this kind of teaching storytelling. I think by using the bunny family it made it friendly, but also because the kids are independent thinkers, it made it personable to my son. And for the record, bravo on this book. My son got to work cleaning his toybox immediately after we read it together. That’s saying something. He is the perfect kid for a book like this because he likes to implement things. I hope that skill goes with him through life and that he finds excellent use in books that help him figure out how to make things better. Lastly, as a mom, I want to let all you other parents know that “I Love to Clean My Room” is the kind of book you can read to your kids many times and not get tired of it. There are some books that you get for your kids and you -know- that it’s going to be a thing they love, and you will dread. I do not see myself dreading “I Love to Clean My Room” for storytelling at night when I read a book to my son. I see myself enjoying to journey repeatedly, even if it is consecutive nights, to enjoy reading it. I think for my son, he’s going to pick up something new with each reading, and that will challenge him to implement that or think of another way to do something in some other part of the house. Score With everything into consideration and the fact that my son’s critiques do not weight the score, I give “I Love To Clean My Room” a resounding 98/100 which is a five-star review on Goodreads and Amazon. If you are looking for that unique book to read to a kid who needs to learn why cleaning is essential, consider picking it up. The e-copy also includes a video so enjoy that on your Kindle! Until next time my friends, have a great day.

A lovely story showing how, if you put things away when you’re done with them – they’re easier to find, there isn’t clutter all around and cleaning up with what you’re done with is easier with each thing you’re done with instead to a WGOLE MESS by the end of the day!

When I told my daughters the title of the book, both of them groaned at me. Why? Because, kids don't like to clean their rooms. Sure, parents and caregivers can help kids make a game out of cleaning their rooms, but it usually still takes effort. Anyway, my kids agreed to listen to the story so we read it as a bedtime story. We did think the title should be changed to something different to avoid other children not wanting to read the story. Sure, parents and caregivers can help kids make a game out of cleaning their rooms, but it usually still takes effort. Anyway, my kids agreed to listen to the story so we read it as a bedtime story. We did think the title should be changed to something different to avoid other children not wanting to read the story. We don't really know many kids who actually like to clean their rooms. We did like the story, and the illustrations were nice. The story is about three bunnies who were playing in their bedroom with their toys. They get bored and want to go outside, even though their mom told them to clean up before she gets home. They figure they'll have enough time to clean, so they go outside to play. When the one bunny went back to the bedroom to look for a ball, the story suggests he couldn't believe his eyes with how messy the room was. This was funny to me because most kids don't really care about the mess and don't even notice the mess. After the toy train is broken because the room is so messy that the bunny trips and breaks the train, the bunnies clean up the mess. They make a game of cleaning up, which is a nice way to teach children to make a game of it, but it is unlikely kids would do so without adult encouragement. Then when the toys are all cleaned up, the bunnies don't want to play anymore because they don't want to make another mess to clean up again. I had to laugh again because It is unlikely kids would not want to play just because they don't want to clean up. The bunnies decide that they will play, but only play with one thing at a time and put it away before getting another toy out to play with. Nice idea, but again, it is unlikely children will think of this on their own without adult supervision and encouragement. Overall, there are great lessons for children to learn in cleaning up their rooms. However, the way the story is presented, I'm wondering if children will want to re read the story again to reinforce those lessons. I believe it would still take a lot of encouragement from adults for the lessons to really be learned from this book. Perhaps if the title were different, and the story focused on the broken toy and the importance of keeping a clean room to prevent broken toys. Maybe that would have been a better presentation for kids to understand and carry over into their everyday lives as they play. Jessica D. Adams, Author of The Underground Toy Society

If I'd read this just in English, it would have gotten 3 stars. But for the memory of reading a book in Japanese, understanding most of it, and learning new words and phrases all on my own, it gets 4.
