Wonderful colorful characters with the best back drop ever - Vegas! I was drawn in immediately as my mind worked as hard as it could to keep up. If you walk the strip you know these people exist - with contacts and back stories. I felt like I was getting the inside story as I recognized places and names but these were not the streets like I know them. You want Trick on your side - you certainly would not cross him. Jam packed with action and the tricks of the trade - a wild adventure and a good Wonderful colorful characters with the best back drop ever - Vegas! This is a thoroughly entertaining book. There is a plot within a plot within a plot that keeps a person guessing until the last page. Ir makes one wonder if Mr. Erwin was privy to some of the political and mob intrigues going on even now. How could anyone just "dream up this stuff"? Poor "Trick" certainly takes a lot of physical punishment in the book, but as his irrepressible spirit shines through in this first person narrative, you just know he's going to wind up at least somewhat OK. Sooo good Excellent book, this grabs you right from the beginning and never lets you go. It's a wild ride and it keeps you on the edge. All the characters are well developed and interact beautifully. All the cons are executed with flair. Highly highly recommended. Sooo good Excellent book, this grabs you right from the beginning and never lets you go.
