Short and sweet A great introduction to the world of Greek Mythology for my 7 year old. I do wish the book had illustrations & a little background information instead of an encyclopedia format.

Good for kids I like pictures and simple language. Good for kids to learn some basic Greek gods. I do recommend it to everyone.

There was a ton of confusion among the group of kids that read this with us. For one thing, the subtitle is "From the Gods to the Titans", but then the first page says that the Olympians are gods that ruled after the overthrow of the Titans. Were the Titans gods and why does it say from "Gods to Titans" if the gods discussed come after the Titans, and why were the Titans overthrown were the first questions. If the Olympians had 12 gods, why aren't all 12 in the book and how many important Titan There was a ton of confusion among the group of kids that read this with us. If the Olympians had 12 gods, why aren't all 12 in the book and how many important Titan figures or gods were there was next. Did all of the Olympians have patron cities, was Prometheus a Titan, and if the Olympians ruled after the Titans, how/when/why/by himself or with others did Atlas fight Zeus were also asked by the kids. Lots more questions or worse, loss of interest followed. Me, my SO, and the other parents all remembered much better books about the Greek gods from childhood, currently owned better books for the kids, or were now going to find some. The kids that knew a little bit about this told everbody what they remembered after we read this, which at least brought some life to the subject. This is a fun topic that can really strike the imagination and resonate with children, but this book was dry and confusing to them. I received this at a free or discounted rate in exchange for my honest review.
