The book popcorn I feel fits very generally into the Historical fiction section. It does bring in the history of the creation of popcorn as well as talks about the Aztec lifestyles. It would be great to read aloud to a k-3 classroom or as a read-alone book for 4-6. This book give a fun twist to the scientific pieces of making popcorn and many children will enjoy the connections they have with decorating Christmas trees with popcorn.
