Liam wasn't supposed to be my happily ever after. He wasn't even on my radar. He was my husband's best friend-forbidden. But my husband died and I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. I want him. I need him. I yearn for him, but he's gone. Now I have to decide if it's him I love or if he was just the consolation prize all along. Liam wasn't supposed to be my happily ever after. He wasn't even on my radar. 5 Stars I can't get enough of Liam and Natalie - especially Liam. The Consolation duet is still one of my favorites; the story is so amazing. I wish I had the time to read it over and over again. So reading Continuation which includes short stories, bonuses, and alternate POVs was THE BEST thing. I fell in love with these two all over again. 5 Stars I can't get enough of Liam and Natalie - especially Liam. The Consolation duet is still one of my favorites; the story is so amazing. I came across these books when another reader had asked about the plot of a book that sounded intriguing to me. This duet ended up not being the book she was looking for, but as soon as I read the synopsis for the books I was all in. Being the type of reader I am I started at the beginning of the series, even though this duet was about a different couple. The Beloved duet set me to know what was coming for Natalie and what a huge loss she'd suffered. I wasn't, however, prepared for how much more I came across these books when another reader had asked about the plot of a book that sounded intriguing to me. I wasn't, however, prepared for how much more pain she was actually going to suffer in her books. My heart broke over and over for her. She remained a true Wonder Woman though, she took those debilitating punches and just kept fighting. Someday, when I grow up, I want to be able to weather life's storms with the same resilience and grace as Lee. Liam was such a great support for Lee, even when he felt like he was overstepping his boundaries as her dead husband's best friend. I loved all the ways he was there for her and helped her when he thought there could be nothing more than a platonic friendship between the two of them. For me, true love lies not in the moment of intimacy and passion, but in those moments where a person is doing something just take make life a little better/easier/brighter for the person they love and Liam performed those tasks in spades. I HATED the end of Consolation. Hated it. I was so mad at the author in that moment. I was so happy to have Conviction to jump right into because I don't think I could have handled living in that kind of limbo for any amount of time. I'm very glad that Lee didn't leave Liam (or the readers!) in the lurch for long either. While I knew who I thought Lee needed, I didn't know if there would be a strange period of back and forth while she figured everything out. I should have known my girl would know what her soul needed and would do what it took to get it. Corinne Michaels has made her way onto my auto-buy, read on release day authors. Each of her books are emotionally heavy, deal with issues that are real, and just speak to my soul. I love her characters, specifically her females, they are all so strong and amazing and I am just in awe of how unique they all are while still maintaining the same amazing strength.

LOVE THIS DUET! It was super good. I loved it, loved the characters, the story line, the writing style, you name it. I enjoyed it so much it has lead me to read the authors other work. I highly recommend to anyone. There's enough to keep your attention and doesn't drag on like some stories do. I loved it. LOVE THIS DUET! It was super good.

5 stars! This little collection of shorts and bonuses from the Consolation is a must-read for any Liam and Natalie fan. A lot of the content has been published before, but here it is in one convenient, collector-loving edition, and it’s a little book of awesome. One of my all-time fave duets, and an all-time fave book boyfriend, this is a real treat, and I loved it! Cockblocked Previously published in the Cocktales Anthology I freaking LOVED catching up with Liam and Natalie from The Consolation Duet! Years have passed, little Aarabelle is 17 and heading out to prom, and one of my all-time favourite heroes is having a little trouble letting his baby girl go. “What’s the plan?”... “The plan is we teach the jackoff coming to take my daughter to prom how we roll around here.” “And how do we roll, babe?” I ask. “SEAL style.” “Oh, Jesus,” I mutter under my breath and leave the room. Yes, Liam is now the proud father of teenagers, and I loved seeing him as the loving yet uber-protective father. Liam steps into the room and looks at her dress. “Where the rest of it?” he asks, waving his hand up and down. “At the store.” The sarcasm is thick as she rolls her eyes at him. “Funny, go back and get one that’s not missing material.” “Dear God,” I mutter to the ceiling. “It’s fine… It’s a dress. All the girls have them just like this.” Liam rubs the bridge of his nose. “You look beautiful, princess. Truly. You also aren’t leaving in that.” “You’ve helped raise her into a beautiful girl, you have to let her shine. She’s wearing the dress, put your macho crap away and knock it off.” “She can shine wearing a sea bag.” “Liam.” I sigh. “Natalie.” And along with Liam, the rest of the Salvation boys all pop in to join in the fun. “Liam Dempsey!” I yell as he hoists his gun over his shoulder. “Are you on drugs?” “It’s not loaded.” “Not the point!” “I’m just introducing the kid to what it’s going to be like to date my daughter.” … “Come on in, son,” Jackson’s voice is booming as he pulls the boy inside.” Aarabelle marches through them, pushing their chests so she can get there. “Don’t listen to any of them, Case. They’re all…dead to me.” And don’t forget Liam and Natalie’s son, Shane, who is also all grown up and getting into trouble. “No one! No. One. Other than me and your mother should be having sex in this house. No one. Do you understand?” Liam is a proud, cockblocking father, but he’s also still a loving husband who is madly in love with his wife, and along with all of the parenting, there are some really sweet and sexy moments for Liam and Lee, and I loved every moment of this one. A Consolation Christmas Scene This is a sweet little read as Liam and Natalie celebrate their first Christmas as a family of four. Liam is slightly ridiculous, but sexy and romantic as all hell, and I loved getting this little glimpse into their family life together. “So you have a thing for Chuck Norris?” “I have a thing for men who can fix things. Unlike my jackass husband who requires rope or duct tape.” Liam climbs down from the ladder with a gleam in his eyes. He envelopes me as he pulls me close. “I fixed you.” Lost Love Letters A short letter from Liam to Natalie that is full of swoon and a bit of innuendo. *dreamy sigh* Liam’s Diaper POV One of the classic moments from Consolation is Liam looking after baby Aara for the first time, and the infamous diaper incident. Now we get to see the action from Liam’s POV. Love it! A must-read for any Liam Dempsey fan, I freaking loved this!! “I love you. So much.” I let him know the only thing in my heart right now. “I know. And I love you. Now, shut up so I can show you just how much.” 5 stars!

WOW! is all I can say about this brilliant story, This would have to be one of the best romances I have read, and I've read a lot, the love that grows between Liam and Natalie is so beautiful and emotional, this story will stir every emotion in your body and blow your mind, I was so shocked by the ending It was so unexpected and shocking. Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York who are two of the best narrators in the business just made this story so real, this is a must read. This was actually the first book I read by Corinne Michaels but it hasn't been the last. I am a huge fan of this author and count down the days until her release dates. Although I love all her books, Natalie and Liam's story is my favorite thus far. Natalie experiences a great loss in her life and is left to raise her daughter alone. In steps Liam, her husbands best friend to help. I know it's crazy to fall in love with a character of a book, but crazy I am because Liam is the ultimate male. Absolutely loved reading Liam and Lee's story of friendship, loss, and love. Such a beautiful duet. You see some of the characters from the Beloved/Beholden series in these books and you can catch up on their lives as well. Lee's journey back to happiness is a long one, but it's definitely hard earned. I loved how Liam never left her side through her grief, and soon became her soul mate. A must read!! I just loved the story of Liam and Natalie. Love may come from the most unexpected sources at the time you least expect and this is one of those stories. It is such an emotional roller coaster and written such that I was hooked from the first page. Corinne is such a talented author and she has a way with words that just draws you in.
