Enticing beginning, likable detective and protagonist, but the story became predictable quickly and the love interest seemed forced. Ellie in the onset was an interesting strong female character that I wanted to root for, but by the end I was rolling my eyes at her ridiculous choices. Turned into a slasher movie by the time the rain-drenched denouement bell sounded. I read the first story, didn't bother continuing with the others... Seriously Deadly A great series of 3 stories that will really make you wonder what that bump in the night really was! Author Enes Smith certainly writes horrifyingly lifelike stories, things we sadly see too often in our daily news. As a true crime lover I thought the characters, both good and bad, were 3 dimensional and true to life. I think I'm going to have to check out more of this author's work because this reader was highly impressed with the quality of work. This was a great murder series. I did find it interesting that the first book stood alone while the second and third followed the characters. All three books keep me turning pages and wanting more. The writing is just descriptive enough to let your mind visualize what is happening. There are a lot of typo's in the book, but it did't bother me like they usually do because it was so interesting. The characters are well developed and the writer is great with being descriptive enough. All three book This was a great murder series. A great read!!!! I misspent 45 years of my youth in law enforcement, from walking a beat to working homicides. Smith rings true to me, makes me want to turn the next page. His familiarity with the Pacific northwest is like a keen insight to me. His characters are familiar to me, I worked with them too. He is a little hard on the FBI, in terms of their current behavior, but he is expressing exactly how it was, back in the 1980's and for many years prior. I will definitely be looking for more of hi A great read!!!! I misspent 45 years of my youth in law enforcement, from walking a beat to working homicides. This was a collection of three books. The first was the best but failed to explain a key part (blood vials). I didn't care for the main character in the second and third although she was less annoying in the third book. I also didn't like how the third book doesn't dovetail with the second in some key areas and there's no explanation until near the end. I did like the author's style of writing though. It just seemed to need a little refining. This was a collection of three books. The first was the best but failed to explain a key part (blood vials). A taste of eternity Smith's description of her characters left me thinking there was something missing. In several places her writing was repeated in each book. A slightly better than average read. A taste of eternity Smith's description of her characters left me thinking there was something missing. In several places her writing was repeated in each book. Book 3 doesn't follow storyline s in book 2 The first two books were great but was very disappointed when book 3 made book 2 seem like it didn't happen. I did not feel like continuing reading after book 2. My rating I loved these books. They really held my interest. I especially liked the character of Natalie Collins. I'd like to see more of her but I guess she's out of the loop now. The character of Merriwether was good too. I like this guy's writing style, he has a new fan. My rating I loved these books. They really held my interest. Riveting read The first book in the series was my favorite of the series, but all were very good. Suspenseful in every way! I will be reading more Enes Smith books. I would give the first in the series 5 stars. I found it riveting.

1 + 2 were great, 3 a little over the top First two seemed a little more realistic, the third was ok but redundant in many areas. Overall it was a good series. I would not hesitate to read more from this author.

Great reading I'm disappointed with the 3rd book what happened to the man she fell in love with in the 2nd book? I wanted her to stay with him and his daughter that she risked her life for and told them that she loves them! Psychological Thriller This book is filled with a psychological mind twists and enters you into a world where the serial killer is smart enough to remain free and dangerous. Ultimately, the killer decides to get up close and personal, which is his biggest mistake.

I read the first of three books in this series. They are each stand alone books. The first is the longest. It was well written and kept me reading. Very exciting towards the end. I will get back to the last two books but needed a serial killer break.

Enjoyable serial killer series I enjoyed the stories with the exception of graphic sex and bad language. The stories are good all by themselves without them. The last story was a bit redundant, but still ok.

Characters are easily imagined as real people And, unfortunately I can imagine a Branson-like evil being real too. Enough suspense to keep you reading, enough emotion to tie you to the characters. A good read for any suspense lover!
