The books have been around for awhile and there is a whole series of which parents, kids, and educators speak very highly. It seems that the adventures of this rather quirky girl seems to garner the interest of reluctant readers. I found the audio book to be extremely fast paced and thought it would be hard for anyone to follow and enjoy. Not that it needs or should be a slow, sleepy, lulling read. Oh no! Junie B. Jones exudes getting into mischief and growing pains so a bit of a romp in the reading is expected. The songs are fast paced and similar in style that is often relegated to adult musicals. I found the lyrics a bit hard to understand but realize that the intended audience is young and would most likely not have any problems understanding or enjoying. Junie B. Jones is a perky, sassy little girl that tends to have a real attitude. Do I recommend this product? No, it just isn't a style I can recommend but I do love the cuteness of Junie B. Jones. DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary CD product from the Blogging For Books review program on behalf of Penguin Random House Listening Library. I was not compensated for this review.

I like Junie B. She's funny, smart, and says exactly what we're all thinking. Which also makes me kind of not like her because she is on the bratty side. But this audiobook was adorable and I was happy to listen to the great music.

Even though her world seems like it has taken a turn of the worst through various disappointments, Junie is faced with some new experiences that didn't happen the previous year. Junie writes about her experiences in a journal. I think this audio book will be fun for children to listen to. I also think that first grade is probably too soon for most children to know how to write sentences in a journal like Junie does but things might have changed since I was kid. I like how the use of a journal is used in the story though to help readers see it from Junie's point of view. I like how Junie's voice sounds; in my opinion, it has a lot of animation in it. "Junie B. Jones the Musical" sounds like a live musical to me. It is full of funny, energizing songs about Junie B. Jones and her life. Junie's voice sounds very animated in the songs on this CD also. It didn't seem to me like many of the songs came from the "First Grader At Last" CD so I think it must be a compilation of many of the different Junie B. Jones stories. My review = 4.5 out of 5 stars I received this CD book / musical free for the purpose of reviewing it.

The story is presented at an upbeat pace and reflects the thoughts of the age group well. The situations are ones the intended age group can relate to and the funny moments are sure to leave smiles on young faces. The narrator has a wonderful voice and brings across the emotions and Junie's quirks in a believable way. The songs on the second CD are cheerful, dynamic and deal with topics fitting for children. The lyrics are sometimes a bit complex, but others invite to singing along. The tunes and rhythms are easy to listen to, and exactly the kind of music kids can listen to time and again. Not only fans of the Junie B. Jones series will enjoy this CD set, but it's perfect for kids ages 4+ who haven't met this lovely character yet. I was a bit too old when the first Junie B. Jones was originally published, so the books never hit my radar until I came across a few of the titles at a thrift store a few years ago. Being a lover of all books, and despite the fact the series is written for kids, I purchased a few of the books. I thought both the plots and illustrations were cute. When I realized the Junie B. The 1st CD features the audiobook of "First Grader (at last!)," which is told from the point-of-view of Junie B. Jones. It's a cute little story that will appeal to young readers (listeners). The plot involves Junie B. Jones not being able to read the boards at school, and she eventually has to get glasses. The 2nd CD features all the music from the musical. While the songs aren't exactly my type of music, I thought the lyrics were charming, and I believe kids will get a kick out of listening to the CD. Overall, I've enjoyed listening to Junie B. Jones: First Ever Musical Edition!. I thought both the audiobook and the songs were adorable.

I loved this. This brought back so many childhood memories. I can't begin to describe how incredible experiencing Junie B. Jones again. This is so fun. I'm a public librarian and I've never read a Junie B Jones before. They usually sell them selves to kids. This was fun and fast paced and I think relatable to kids of the first grade age. I especially liked her new best friends reaction to her getting glasses. Everyone deserves a friend like that! I would totally recommend this book and actually already have! This edition came with a musical cd of songs based upon Junie B's universe. they were fun and fans of the series will love the hilarity. Ahhh... Junie B. Jones back at it again. She is growing up and it's time everyone knows. She is a big girl, what comes with it means a new classroom, new teacher, and new kids. Being able to listen to the book gives the child the ability to listen and really capture what is going on, it will give the child the chance to listen and laugh about what they are hearing. The next thing that I found to be great for kids is that it provided songs that the kids can listen to for the musical. Children love listening to music and this has what they would like.
