This is a marvellous play! I saw the workshop version on YouTube and was happy to find this whole play available on Kindle and it is one of my absolute favourite plays - period. Filled with glorious prose and iambic pentameter this play makes the tale as old as time story of Cupid and Psyche come alive beautifully on the page and as someone who read Psyche's "30 days" speech in theatre class in a mock audition I can say that it is a joy to read aloud as well. Inside there are detailed looks in to the process of the play, behind the scenes and why certain things are the way they are and they are a wonderful to read. As someone who loves Greek Mythology, plays, Shakespeare and romance with a smart head and a good heart this ticks all the boxes for me. I do hope more people come to know of this play and that Snyder publishes her other plays in Kindle form as well, as there is talk of stories of Adonis and Persephone in this book and I would love to read the whole trilogy of plays (as well as see the plays even if its online in YouTube) to know what a wonderful world she has made with her words of the Greek Gods and Goddesses.
