It’s a pretty good book depicting what kind of work children were expected to, or forced to do in England. The circumstances and situations were well explained. I thought it might be too easy for a child reading this book to forget that it was children doing the work on some of the pages.

This book was about how people worked in the past and when they were 5 years old they were separated from their families to work. Some had disgusting jobs and people were forced to work. They had very scary punishments like hanging them from their ears outside he window. I didn`t like it because it was sad and it was a lot of work for the people since they were little.
