   This was my favorite restaurant in Greek Town growing up. I was born in Chicago but grew up in southern Illinois. Every summer I would spend a few months with my granny and she would take us out to fabulous restaurants. This was one of our families favorite. I would always order the loin of lamb with potatoes and rice. As a grown woman, I did have the pleasure of taking my son there before the restaurant sadly closed down in 2016. Now for the cookbook. Usually I will read a book like this for the stories and the recipes. For some reason the stories did not capture my attention but the recipes sure did. My husband loves when I pull this out because he knows that homemade tzatziki sauce, spinach pie, rice with tomato sauce and chicken gyros are in his future. The green beans have never disappointed and the lemon potatoes go with everything! The only flaw I see is that when I am cooking Greek, I know I will be in the kitchen for at least 2 hour plus and I will make WAY too much food.

   My small thin Greek cookbook For free you can't go wrong. There are some basic Greek favorites and a few I had not heard of before. Formatting for the ebook is not perfect but it's still free, so no real complaints here. The only real omission is gyros, but there's a great recipe for tzatsiki.    Made me Hungry Beautifully presented! Loved reading about the history of the restaurant. Wonderful pictures of the restaurant and of the dishes. I plan to make many of them!
