This is a cute story; however, I did not like it as much as the first one (probably because this story is more action-oriented than character-based). I look forward to the next installments.

I liked this one a lot more than the first one. It was a lot of fun and felt like watching an episode of Riders. I really thought it was cool the the submaripper was in here. It was really fun seeing something that showed up later in the show.

Zipplebacks still don't breathe fire, and I remain disappointed that the comic writers miss opportunity after opportunity to explore Berk and its associated worldbuilding more. We see other Viking teens, but that's it - no names or personalities are given. Dragons and dragon conflicts fairly simple, and even the one new species that shows up doesn't really get any development or exploration. Franchise loyalty will keep me picking these up, but they're weaker than the early TV show seasons. A group of children and their tame dragons have to fight off some enemy Vikings. The story was reasonable and the illustrations were good, but it lacked depth (in my opinion).
