The stories remind me of a Christmas several years ago, when I worked in a hospital. One of the patient care units insisted on a computer technician leaving the information technology building and hiking some distance through snowy city streets in order to get their printer to print. The poor tech finally made back to his building, numb and near hypothermia. The tech had avoided frostbite via the heat of his righteous indignation. The printer was turned off. The tech turned it on. It was still printing its backlog when he headed back out into the snow. This is a short, fun read. After you read it, ask yourself: Do you feel the pain from the computer-tech perspective, or the user perspective?

This is the third of the Konrath challenge books I picked up and so far I've been really impressed with the calibre of the ebooks that had to be written, edited, and cover designed in less thna 8 hours. The first couple of stories in this were funny and the rest made me feel sorry for the writer. Cute and quirky. Another gem.

Common sense computer tech The author of the group of essays writes about his experiences as a computer in home technician. The stories are very amusing and some shocking to hear. A truly enjoyable read.
