Innocent and naive assistant-professor Maura Kindle pines for Doctor Chester Franklin, handsome Adonis and brilliant scientist at the shady genetics institute where they both work. But behind his charming exterior, Chester is avile narcissist, who permits himself to love only one entity on earth -- the bloated and makeshift cadaver of thrown-together limbs and body-bits that he keeps in his basement mortuary and refers to as "the Bride". Maura wants Chester to love her, but the brooding doctor only cares about her for her brains -- Literally! Because the only thing Chester's sexy monster still needs before she can live is a good head on her shoulders -- Maura's to be precise. But just how well-adjusted could a stitched-up gal like that really be when she finally comes to?

This review and book contains mature content, reader discretion is advised. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- What the heck did I just read? I’m pretty sure that is the appropriate reaction to Frankenslime which is by far the most grotesque and bizarre erotica story, or truly any kind of story, that I’ve ever read. I’m pretty sure that is the appropriate reaction to Frankenslime which is by far the most grotesque and bizarre erotica story, or truly any kind of story, that I’ve ever read. I read this piece at the suggestion of two of my favorite bloggers, Amanda aka On a Book Bender & Kelly aka Reading the Paranormal. It was both hilarious and confusing and the only way I can sum it up accurately is by doing what I am dubbing a Twitreview. I’m not going to attempt to explain it because it is both obvious and easier to show you, so here we go! Tweet 1: WHY IS SHE MOANING ABOUT HER BODY BEING A BACKUP?! Tweet 2: CHESTERINA, SERIOUSLY?! Tweet 3: WAAAIT! SHE PASSED OUT AND STAYED UNCONSCIOUS WHILE HE CUT APART HER HEAD?! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! Tweet 4: WHY IS SHE DESCRIBING THE CONTENTS OF THE DROOL THAT IS ON HER HAIR AND NOT FREAKING OUT THAT SHE IS PURPLE?! Tweet 5: PUS-PUS PLEASE TAKE ME!!! *dies* Tweet 6: SHE HAS BREASTS EVERYWHERE WHYYYYYY Tweet 7: SWALLOW AND REGURGITATE HER INTESTINE WHAT THE FREAKING CRAP AM I READING?! Tweet 8: SHE IS A GIGANTIC VAGINA WITH CRAZY LONG LIMBS WHAAAAAAAAT?! Tweet 9: I SERIOUSLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT I JUST READ BUT I THINK THE PROPER REACTION IS TO DRINK So ya, that’s my Twitreview. I don’t know how to better summarize my feelings than those tweets. It was bizarre, nonsensical and oddly satisfying. Also hilarious, in case you didn’t get that. Oh and it was free so if you go to Amazon you can read it for yourself. I hope you enjoyed my goofy attempt at a different review style! ^.^

I found this book to be rather unusual and humorous at times. Although it did follow along the classical tale of the male Doctor Frankenstein tale, in the beginning. As it went it along, it became rather strange as it began to twist into a much different kind of story. The poor Doctor becomes the victim to his 'True Love' who only wants to perfect herself for him. I found myself by the end of the tale unsure of who I should be feeling sympathy for. The Doctor, who had created Her in a life long quest for love. Or Her who only wanted to make herself perfect and please the Doctor.

This book was very firmly tongue-in cheek, which I thought unhinged any hope of dread or horror in the story. The horror was ... of the gross out sort and a bit cliched in my opinion. The sex was ... present. Grammar and spelling/editing wasn't an issue for me. I spotted a couple of mistakes, but nothing dire and it all read pretty well. Overall, the tone of the book kept me at a distance and was melodramatic, so it was not to my taste and I wasn't engaged by the characters. Freebie e-book from Amazon. I love quirky, funny, horror. This is certainly that. Good for a few laughs in that bad fanfic, you're almost sure a teen wrote it, kind of way. This one is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's a rather twisted and erotic version of the classic, and in my opinion not too awful but not too good. It's a nice little read if you need to kill a little time. This one is definitely not for the faint of heart.
