I’ve got a form for that! My GoodReads Review of Business and Legal Forms for Graphic Designers 4th Edition. My GoodReads Review of Business and Legal Forms for Graphic Designers 4th Edition. I received Business and Legal Forms for Graphic Designers 4th Edition for free in a GoodReads Giveaway. I was very pleased to be chosen to receive this book as my husband is a 15-year graphic designer / web developer who has been fully independent for the last 5 years. So not only do we have the experience required to review this book, we had our own real need for it. I received a large, bright, glossy-green workbook-style paperback of excellent quality. The book is 8.5" x 11" to allow for perfect reproduction of the full size contracts inside, printed on bright white paper with flat black font perfect for scanning or photocopying. The book includes a CD-Rom with both Windows and Mac format of all of the forms including PDF versions, Word Doc versions, and Excel Spreadsheet versions. The support documentation is quite well thought out, and every electronic version has a discreet text reference to its corresponding page number in the book, annotated outside the crop lines and easily removed by trimming or printing at full scale and simply allowing the referenced text to fall outside the printed area. The book itself is 216 pages and quite substantial in your hands. Inside, the book is quite comprehensive, from a brisk, 10-point walkthrough on how to use the book and forms within, to 53 forms covering everything that we could think of and more. The forms are introduced in sections of relevance, explained simply, often with examples that are realistic and relevant. The instructions are easily understood. The narration doesn't waste time with long extraneous pontification just to fill space. The communication is concise and moves along to getting the business done. Having worked freelance graphic design and web development on a part-time / full-time capacity for 15 years, my husband was truly impressed with the range of scenarios covered, the completeness of subject, the thoroughness of the forms and contracts, and the concinnity of the instruction. I recommend this book wholeheartedly for anyone needing boilerplate legal forms and contracts for graphic design, web development, and similar project management.

This is a very good helper for freelance designers (like myself) who aren't too sure what to include in a contract for a client, or indeed other related forms and agreements. The book also has an accompanying CD-ROM with all the forms in PDF, Word, Excel, Pagemaker, Quark and Word Perfect formats.
